Tamara Candlewick blows a gasket when she hears the new headmaster at her daughter’s school requires the students mix a love potion as part of their annual Spelling Bee.She determines to give the young man, Carter Wells, a piece of her mind. But who knew the new principal was going to be so devilishly hot? Or that his arrival in town would have the young witches of Misty Cedars cooking up love … up love potions of their own?
Spelling Bee is a humorous short story that should appeal to fans of Amanda M Lee or Andris Bear. It has no explicit content and precedes the Misty Cedar novels releasing in the Fall of 2019.

Until next time… Happy Reading!
After reading too many horror novels in a row, it was nice to read this fun short story. I love the new twist on a Spelling Bee. The characters were great and left me wanting more. The only problem with this story is that it wasn’t longer.
She is not happy when told her daughter needs to make a love potion for the annual spelling bee. She wants to give him a piece of her mind but he is so hot. Now every witch wants to make their own love potion. How is all going to end? See how it will

Cute little story about a spelling bee, as in, magic spells. A spell goes awry and one of the contestants saves the day. Short, sweet, and adorable!

Such a fun read.
This was a cute one it is short but such a fun read. I love the name of the new series Misty Cedars series and the cover that a two thumbs up. Tamara Candlewick a single parent goes toe to toe with Carter Wells. You will love the ending it is perfect. If you need a short coffee break book this is an excellent choice. I am looking forward to the other ones in the series. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
The new Headmaster Carter brought the regional Spelling Bee to their local school. Widowed mom Tamara Candlewick objected to the teenagers making a love potion, in addition to answering a bevy of questions about spells and potions.
Pike and Crystal are besties. Both are fiercely competitive. Both want to win.
Is a handsome Head of School safe with muffins and love potion in the competition? Probably not, when it is well known he is also single.
A fun and funny romp. A great KU read!
I read this hilarious story on Kindle Unlimited. I also received a free copy of this book from Booksprout.

Spelling Bee is a fun and entertaining short story. The characters are realistic and draw you in. They make you want to get to know more about them. I can’t wait to read more books by Adrienne Blake.
SPELLING BEE is the first book in the Misty Cedars series, a humorous prequel and I would recommend reading it first.
Cute. Sweet. Fun. I wish I hadn’t read it yet, just so I could find it and read freshly again. This is funny, innocent, and charming. Perhaps Ms. Blake has cast a spell between the pages!
This is going to be one of those clean series that I’m going to look forward to arriving and bounce around in anticipation waiting between installments.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

I loved this little book. Such a great take on the spelling bee. I wish in some ways it was longer because I just wanted to keep on reading. Overall a great witty little story. Great job Adrienne
This is a novella that introduces characters for a new paranormal witch series. The characters are interesting and well developed. The storyline is short but offers a peek into the work of Pike and her Mother, Tamara. A single mom whose daughter attend the coveted Margaret Beauchamps School of Magic for Boys and Girls. The setting is very well described as is the witchy clothes wear. The magic is apparent and made for interesting visuals. This is a great preview of things to come.

Kids mixing love potions, a sexy new headmaster, fun and laughs, this short story has it all!!! I hope to read some more books in this world because this one was gone in half and hour, lol
Spelling Bee – Oh, sweet mother of frogs–– What a cute, funny little coffee break read. This is my first read by this author and I loved it!
Cute, funny, even with the kids. The storyline is good with plenty of humor. The characters have likeable personalities, even the 13-year-old. Good dialog.
I find this a good introduction to the Misty Cedars series. The pace is fast and too soon the story is finished.
There is an overview, which I appreciate knowing about a book before I read it. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
A Postcard From Hell – I did not realize this is part of a series. There are references to past events. Other than that, this was a quickly read story without any confusion. Fast paced, filled with humor but too much of the vulgar language. There is an overview, which I like since I do not always remember what a book is about or know. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
