The past few months have been full of highs and heart-wrenching lows. Even when everyone told her it was time to hang up the spurs, she and Rusty fought it. Their comeback has been record-breaking and awe-inspiring. The coveted All-Around Cowgirl title they’ve been fighting for all year is now only a few points away. Will they be able to maintain their winning streak and hang onto their focus … focus long enough to finish the season, or will there be too many distractions? Will life get in the way now that Tory has stepped out of that little sister shadow and is ready to fully embrace the woman she is going to be? What was once a simple plan for her future, is now complex; and what Tory once thought she’d never want in her life, she now finds herself considering, almost dreaming of.
What Tory once loved about herself—who she once thought she was—she now questions. Jake ignited a fire deep inside Tory, one she knows she’ll never be able to extinguish. He brought her to a new high, which she now yearns for as much as she craves the feeling she gets when she races Rusty barefoot through their pastures. As her identity shifts, will her priorities and goals in life change as well? What happens when that choice is made for her?
One thing is for sure, this third edition to Tory’s saga will put everything to the test, love, strength, and even loyalty.

Tory and Rusty are back. I can’t get enough of these characters. Lili has given us a wonderful coming of age story. The gang is all here. BP3 picks up right where BP2 left off.
Tory is on top of her game. She’s graduated, enjoying her summer, getting ready to start college with her boys and their friends. She is doing her best to keep her All Around Cowgirl title. Life is good until it isn’t.
Life throws Tory a few devastating blows that have her questioning everything.
We see a softer more vulnerable side to Tory as she is trying to figure out her new normal. She is second guessing everything she thought she wanted as she grows in to the woman she is meant to be. There is so much I want to say but I won’t because I don’t want to ruin this story for the reader. Just know that the characters are amazing and I love seeing them grow and mature. I say bring on BP 4 I’m ready and I’m sure you will be too. Thank you Lili Mahoney for giving us Tory , Rusty and all of these wonderful characters.
This book focused on Tori growing up and becoming who she is suppose to be. Lili Mahoney weaves a story of a young girl and her passion through three books and I don’t feel as though I have gotten enough of this story. I look forward to the next book and to continue my glimpse into this world.
My emotions are all over the place. I’m mad at Jake, I’m not mad at Jake. I’m mad at Tori, I’m not made at Tori. Gah! I think I’m more mad at Tori. Jake is trying so hard to break that wall down that Tori holds up. He makes some head way, then it all blows up! Tori just can’t figure out how to manage her emotions. She lights up with Jake’s kisses and touches. But when he says something she doesn’t like, she shuts down. Jake just can’t seem to get it right with her. When he thinks he’s doing a kind gesture, Tori just freezes him out. Then things just spiral down hill from there. Tori’s life falls apart. She doesn’t even know how to function. No one can help her! Her brothers finally run an intervention that starts to help her. And gradually she starts coming out of her shell. I do struggle though, because I feel like Jake is just gone. He was such a huge part of book two and for the first part of this book. But in the second half I feel he is just disappearing. I’m hoping there is a book four and that he makes more of an appearance again. I just love Jake and I need more of him. I think Tori also needs him too. She just doesn’t quite realize it yet. This is definitely a must read. But there are just to many unanswered questions that I need answers to. So Lili, please write book four and quickly.
I didn’t know how much I missed this series until I started chapter one .
Tory’s journey continues with a lot of bumps in the road she has to work on. She’s fighting coming out of her protective shell and slowly becoming a woman and for her that’s awkward and scary at times .It’s a really emotional time in her life . Make sure you have some Tissues close by because you’re going to need them.
I love Lili Mahoney’s writing. She has a way of making you feel at home in her stories and welcomed by her characters .
You feel like part of Tory’s family. Like you are in Texas running Barefoot with Tory and Rusty in her Pastures. I don’t know about you , but when an author has the ability to make you feel every emotion that her characters are going though. Triumph ,heartache, love and loss so much so you cry with them ,that is a cherished gift .
I can’t wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens next.
