Rules are meant to be broken…… no matter the cost…when it comes to love.I’m Dreamweaver Alissandra and it’s not my fault my heart drew me closer to my sexy human dream charge than my family’s rules permit. How could I possibly resist when we share a soul-deep connection they couldn’t fathom. Shhhh, no one need know. But I discover my father, the god of dreams (aka Morpheus or the Sand Man), … dreams (aka Morpheus or the Sand Man), is scheming to exploit humans. No way am I going to let that happen without a fight.
Knowing Father, it will cost me dearly.
It doesn’t matter. I won’t let my prince, or any human, suffer.

An Interesting Idea That Is Panning Out Well!! A 4.25 Star Read
I really loved the concept of this book from the get go. I know it’s had a couple revisions & you can tell by its pace & flow that they’ve obviously been successful!!
The main character, Alissandra, is a Sandmaiden. She weaves the dreams for countless humans throughout her immortal life in the Realm of Dream, where she’s a Princess with 21 siblings. Her current charge is Prince Kovis, he’s an identical twin & also has a sister 2 years older. Ali has always cared deeply for her charges but this one has been different, even from when he was in his Mother’s womb!
As her Father, the King, becomes obsessed with reclaiming his power he gave away. Ali’s sunshine & rainbows outlook on her life, her parents & especially her Dad start to crumble! Can she protect Kovis & the Wake Realm (), will she fully realise the deep trouble she’s in & can she escape & be saved from the Evil rising against her??
I really enjoyed this story. The characters are nice, on the whole, and the naivety & hopeful happiness that Ali projects is just who she is, it’s endearing! I can’t wait to get to know the people we’ve only met through dreams so far!! Poor Rasa Can I just say – I loved the crone sister’s
Roll on Book #2
(I was given a copy of this book with no expectation of a review)

Awesome!!
This is not your typical fairy tale, and Ali is not your typical Fantasy Princess. No, she’s a Sand Maiden.
I absolutely LOVE the world-building of this book. And Kovis is absolutely my favorite character.
The cover art alone on this book sells it– and that it’s a unique twist on the Sand Man! I’m a sucker for a retelling, especially a rare one like the Sand Man. It just begs to be read and devoured.
I loved the concept of a story that takes place in a dream world. L.R.W. Lee has created a unique story with likeable characters that will keep you wanting to know more.
Check out this cool new YA paranormal romance. You’ve heard of the sand man? Well, she’s the sand maiden. How cool of a concept is that? Unique, fatastical and page-turning.
This is definitely my kinda book. I’ve only started reading it, but I’m already finding myself intrigued by it and the whole idea of a Sand Maiden. I’m looking forward to the ride I’m sure this book will take me on. Full review to come soon.
Brilliant and inventive!
If you are a fan of Strange the Dreamer and Elise Kova’s Air Awakens series, you’ve found your next fix!
I loved the uniqueness of this story. Ali is a dream weaver and ushers thoughts, intentions, and goodwill to her assigned human dreamer. When she becomes the “sand maiden” for Prince Kovis she finds herself feeling more than she should.
War has surrounded her hundreds of years of life, both in her world of Dream and her dream charges world of Wake. Though always the most positive of people, Ali begins to see her father for who he is truly and the warmonger hungering inside.
This book is so much about love of family, the bonds it creates, the protective nature for the innocent, and the light you can find in everyone. I fully recommend this book as it was full of depth, rich storytelling, excellent fantasy, and love. I cannot wait to read the next book!
What can I say about this book except that it was awesome! I love the whole Dream and Wake world idea and how they mirror each other. I loved the whole concept from the dream people helping humans go to sleep to the most delicious sounding fantasy dishes. There is nothing bad to say about this book. I can’t wait to start reading the second book, Lullaby.
Such a unique idea! I love it!
My Thoughts – 4 out of 5 Unicorns – I really liked it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I do own this book and book 1 in the series!
The cover is beautiful!
This is a prequel in the Sand Maiden series! I do think that you should read book 1 first in my opinion which is the order written. Prequels are hard to decide if you should read first or in the order written, but I think you should decide for yourself. This is for adults as it does hit on sensitive topics like rape.
I loved reading about Ali’s life in Dream realm, and it helps you understand more about her and what was happening before she went to Wake realm. The only thing that is a little confusing is when the book is jumping time periods, but the dates in the parentheses do help you sort it out better.
I love Ali’s passion for her family and her dream charges. There was a lot going on in her past when she was immortal. I think I initially forgot about that because in Wake she is just a young lady. The author does a great job taking you on an emotional journey with Ali. I enjoyed reading and learning more about the Dream realm and Ali’s family which is big
I recommend this book to all the Lullaby fans because you will want to learn more about Ali’s past and to all the fans who want a fantasy about the Sand Man and his family! I can’t wait to get back to what is currently happening in Wake realm!!
