The astonishing, masterful conclusion to the Inheritance Cycle, perfect for fans of Lord of the Rings! The New York Times bestselling series has sold over 35 million copies and is an international fantasy sensation. Not so very long ago, Eragon—Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider—was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire … the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.
Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must defeat Galbatorix. There will be no second chances. The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaësia? And if so, at what cost?
Features interlocking art that reveals an image across the spines of all four books! And don’t miss the most recent book set in Eragon’s world, The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm: Tales from Alagaësia!

Loved the whole series of books by him and this one clears up some mysteries!!
wow
Not the best book in the series, but still very good and worth the read.
Inheritance is an excellent conclusion to this series. I was immersed in the story from the opening chapter. It’s well written and nicely paced.
Recommend to those who enjoy fantasy.
I borrowed a copy from my local library. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
DNF. The final book in the series starts slow enough, but when Roran starts kicking a horse until it bleeds I just stopped reading. He’d been a barbarian from the first and I wasn’t about to spend more time with him. Now if the horse had turned around and swallowed him whole or trampled him to death, I probably would’ve read on…
From what I hear …
The recap is brilliant. The entire true names thing was kind of neat, until we learn that they are not always just a word, but rather they could be a paragraph long.
I didn’t think it was really necessary to give detailed accounts of ever fight. Especially when after having reached the finale, the remainder of the book moves at quite a pace.
I …
An excellent read.. I enjoyed his first book and read each afterwards… I read it when I saw how young the author was when he wrote his first novel. I looked forward to each and read each through the day it came out!
Not as bad as Brisingr, but still a weak conclusion to a story that had a decade to form and grow. The author never grew out of the problems that plagued this entire franchise. I trudged through this book for closure to this story, but I should have just read the recap on wikipedia and saved myself several days.
Great series
One of my favorite series that I hope they make into a movie. The 1 movie that was made had excellent graphics but lacked in portraying the elves and dwarves correctly. Highly recommend this series.
The series started off so captivating. To have this as an ending was such a disappointment.
I really like this series. Dragons are wonderful and so glad I was able to read these books.
The inheritance series is absolutely the very first story about a boy named Eragon, his blue Dragon named Sepheria. This 4 book series was written by a teen named Christopher Paolini. If you do not read this series….shame on you!!!
The end of a GREAT and epic adventure, that left me anxious to read more from this author!
His was a great conclusion to the series. Toward the end it feels like it’s dragging a little, then BAM. Also provides a nice little wrap up at the end.
A worthy effort, well fleshed-out. I thoroughly enjoyed all 4 books in this series. It was a great pleasure to have a new world of dragons, elves, magic, & good vs. evil to explore. A believable coming-of-age story that will leave the reader a better person, if you let it.
