The former Tin Gypsy motorcycle club has everyone in Clifton Forge, Montana convinced they’ve locked their clubhouse doors and ripped off their patches. Everyone but Bryce Ryan. There’s more happening at the club’s garage than muscle car restorations and Harley rebuilds. Dash & Bryce do not disappoint! I have been waiting for Dash since The Clover Chapel! There is a lot of family dynamics in this book that really bring the past to the present. The relationship between him and his dad was hard to read after Dash looked up to his dad in a different way before this book. Bryce is a spitfire and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between her and Dash. I laughed out loud more times than I could count! Wonderful start to a new series and I can’t wait tl the next book!
Let’s talk about this cover, it’s absolutely amazing the skull reminds me of Día de Muertos, the day of the dead. So the release being so close to Halloween, All Saints Day, and All Souls is not a coincidence.
The story starts in Clifton Forge, Montana about a retired motorcycle club, Tin Gypsy.
Bryce Ryan, co-owner of the small town’s newspaper, is hungry for more than birth announcements and obituaries. When a woman is brutally killed and all signs point to the Tin Gypsies, Bryce is determined to expose the club and their leader, Kingston “Dash” Slater, as murderers. In typical Devney Perry style, there is more going on then just this story, there are so many sub-stories that are interwoven within this one that it leaves you with more questions than answers. Just hope we get the rest of the series quickly.
Wow what a whirlwind!
From start to finish i was gripped by this book. It kept my attention in all the right points it was amazing.
Keeps you on your toes and at the edge of your seating wondering what was going to happen next.
Bryce was fierce and strong and knew exactly what she wanted. She wanted to find the truth and nothing was going to stop her, admittedly at first i was on the fence with her with her approach on somethings but the more i read the more i understood her way of thinking and got to know her better.
Dash was yummy.
He was so broody and flirty but also very loyal. He had his reasons for doing alot of things not all of them the right reasons but at the time it seemed right.
It was an amazing start to this new series! I can’t wait for more!
Holy freaking amazeballs, is there anything this woman can’t do? Everything she turns her writing to, is gold, and this book continues her winning streak.
Gypsy King is Book one in Devney’s new Tin Gypsy Series, revolving around a decommissioned motorcycle club in a small town in Montana. The club was always causing trouble for the area and its residents, so for it to suddenly close up and its members become well behaved citizens, something doesn’t sit right with new to town reporter, Bryce. She’s used to big stories in the city she’s come from, and the apparent closure of the Tin Gypsies motorcycle club has her journalist senses tingling. On her quest for the story, she is thrown into the path of the former president of the club, Kingston ‘Dash’ Slater, and Dash likes what he sees when Bryce is in front of him, but she’s not interested in the club’s Prince, only what he can tell her for her story.
Bryce has a one track mind when it comes to her story, but agrees to a deal with Dash to work together to uncover the truth, sparks fly between the two, but in the end their connection is bigger than what’s really going on in their small town.
Bryce is a kick butt heroine, she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, she has sass and strength and doesn’t fall for the lines of playboy Dash, she knows how to play the game and guarantees to win.
Dash is a cocky, hot headed biker, with smooth talk for days, a killer smile and beneath it all, is a caring, protective, loveable man. He fits the biker profile, but breaks the mold when it comes to having morals, doing the right thing is key, and keeping his loved ones out of harms way is priority.
When these two work together, it’s explosive and the heat between them is off the charts. When secrets are revealed, Dash and Bryce stick together, but with someone after revenge, danger is all around them.
This story gave me all the feels, and I’m happy to say, I didn’t shed one tear, though knowing who’s book is coming next, I’m sure Devney is saving it all up to kill me with Isaiah’s book. This is an action packed rollercoaster ride, which keeps you in suspense the whole way through. I can’t recommend it enough, an outstanding start to what is sure to be another phenomenal series. Now I’m off to beg for book 2 to be released earlier, because I just can’t wait for it after the set up in Gypsy King.
Gypsy King: Tin Gypsy Series- Book 1 by Devney Perry is an absolute masterpiece! Hands down. Bar none!
Perry has taken her game and up it times a thousand. Something I never even thought was possible, because I absolutely love her writing.
But Gypsy King is a suspenseful masterpiece that stands high on its own.
I literally would have shut the whole world out if I could have, just so I could read this book without stopping. I was so completely enamored by this storyline.
Bryce and Dash are two characters that you’d never expect to come together. They have so many odds against them. Especially with everything that is taking place in the small town of Cliffton Forge.
But there is no preventing their paths from crossing, as they both seek answers, and wind up completely immersed in the suspense that’s surrounding them.
“Regret was the driving force behind this Tin Gypsy story. Remorse was the reason it was so, so important.”
There is so much going on, and so many characters that intertwine.
The former Tin Gypsy MC has ghost that are coming back to haunt them, and innocent lives are at stake.
In the midst of all the what if’s and who done it’s, you’ll find yourself wanting redemption, seeking justice, and begging for answers.
Perry leaves us with just enough answers that we move forward with the characters. But believe me, I think I won’t be the only one biting my nails in anticipation of Riven Knight.
5 Stars
Oh Devney, you slay me! The incredible chemistry that Bryce and Dash had in this book was off the charts HOT! Bryce is a sassy journalist that just moved to a small town, looking for the story of her life and she knows the exact story she wants to write about. Dash is a closed off, bad boy, former MC president that just wants to scare and intimidate Bryce to throw off the story trail; much to his dismay, it doesn’t work. Instead, their banter and ubersexy relationship moves the bedroom where it becomes explosive!
In the midst of their story, Devney throws in the mystery! Holy hell, I don’t know which way is up or down! Every time I feel like I have it figured out, Devney shows me I’m an idiot and have no clue what’s going to happen next! I CAN’T GET ENOUGH! Needless to say, I did not get the answers I needed from this book and I simply can’t wait for the next book to come out! The supporting characters were incredible, I can’t wait to see how they all tie into this story. There is so much going on in this series already, I’m dying of anticipation!

This book was all that I was expecting but even more than I was expecting.
Gypsy King was probably my most anticipated read for this year. Ever since Devney announced it I have been dying to get my hands on it. I am so glad to say I was NOT disappointed at all!!! This book was FANTASTIC!!!
This book was so different from her other books, but still everything I have come to expect in a book by Devney Perry.
Usually I am hesitant to read a MC book because they touch on subjects I usually don’t like reading about (abuse, assault, severe violence, etc…) but Gypsy King was so different from a normal MC story. It still have the MC feel to the story but the storyline was different than we normally see, which made this refreshing to read.
Gypsy King is the first in Devney’s newest series. This series is going to focus around a disband MC Club the Tin Gypsy. This is also a spin off series from one of the books in her Jamison Valley Series. We are first introduced to the Tin Gypsies in The Clover Chapel (Book 2). The Tin Gypsies President and member are Nick’s (Hero from Clover Chapel) dad and brother. You DON’T have to read the Clover Chapel to enjoy this new book. Devney fills in all the blanks that you might miss from not reading the other book. This book is told in Dual POV. I loved the flow and pace of the story. This book is a romantic suspense and it totally kept me guessing. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the read. I loved how this book the couple gets their ending, but I loved that the storyline kind of continues on into the next book. We do get an ending with this story, but Devney left some questions unanswered that will get carried over into the next book. I can’t wait!!!!
In this book we follow Bryce and Dash’s story. Dash is the ex-president of the Tin Gypsies and is now the owner of the local garage in Clifton Forge, MT. He is definitely rough around the edges, but I couldn’t help but fall in love with him. Bryce has just recently moved back to Clifton Forge to help run and co-own the local newspaper with her dad. Bryce is all about the story. So when something tragic happens in this small town, Dash believes they have the wrong person in custody, but Bryce thinks he is wrong. So these two, through a lot of ups and downs join together to find out the truth. No matter what that might uncover. I don’t want to say anymore, because I don’t want to spoil the story. Just read this book!!!
I loved all the side characters we are introduced to in this book. I look forward to reading each of their own books.
I can’t recommend this book enough!! Every fan of Devney’s should read this book. And if you aren’t a fan yet, what are you waiting for….Start with Gypsy King!!! You won’t be sorry.
I LOVE all books Devney Perry…but this has stolen my heart as favorite so far! My oh my…what a book!
“She’s my Emmy”.
Dash…a badass former biker who falls for the new chick in town.
Bryce…the new chick in town…driven, tough, independent, sassy and a totally softy to her badass biker dude…the criminal who stole her heart.
Drama. Lots and lots of drama.
Bryce takes up residence in town and joins the ranks as a journalist for her family’s newspaper. She gets wind of the story of the century…sets out to make a name for herself and crashes head on into Dash and his life. The two team up to clear Dash’s family name
LOVED every single word of this story! Every. Single. Word. Can’t wait for the next in the series Riven Knight! This series is going to be epic!!
Devney does it again. I have been an avid Devney Perry reader since The Coppersmith Farmhouse book came out and I have been anxiously awaiting Gypsy King since I learned about it. The book did not disappoint.
I think it’s important to note this is NOT an MC book, but it does have a lot that I love from MC books in it. The love, the loyalty, the brotherhood, the HOT, explosive romance. Devney did it all beautifully.
Dash Slater is hot. Bryce Ryan is hot. And together they are explosive. Their journey to love is one for the record books.
There are so many secondary characters I can’t wait to read about. This book set up the series to be one you just can’t wait to get your hands on the next book!
Oh my goodness. This book was amazing. I could not put it down. It has scorching hot chemistry with a flare of mystery and suspense. I read well past my bedtime and wanted to continue reading well into the night (damn being a responsible adult), but I made myself put it down to get some sleep. Gypsy King really was that good. The story really pulls you into the world of small town Clifton Forge, Montana, the disbanded Tin Gypsies, and the smoking hot chemistry between the two main characters. Devney Perry just has an amazing writing style that sucks you right into the story and you don’t want to leave it. Her characters are just so full of life and the small towns her stories take place in are just amazing.
Dash Slater and Bryce Ryan are fire. The chemistry between these two was off the freaking charts! Their banter was hilarious and hot at the same time. Did I mention their chemistry? Oh, I did, well let’s mention it again. Dash and Bryce’s chemistry was OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS! These two are one of my favorite Devney couples. They are right next to Willa and Jackson from Timid. I’m obsessed with Willa and Jackson and Dash and Bryce are a close second. And I mean so close that I would have a hard time picking a favorite between the two couples.
Dash Slater is prime book boyfriend material and I need more of him. He is sinfully sexy and knows it. I could read about him all damn day. Sigh. I loved that Dash was attracted to Bryce beyond just her looks. He loved her fire, her passion about being a journalist and getting the story, her fierceness, her sass, her big heart, and the fact that she doesn’t back down from a challenge or take crap from anyone! He is fiercely protective of Bryce and I find that all sorts of swoon worthy. Bryce was such a badass in this story. She didn’t let anyone tell her what to do. Bryce is such a strong female lead. She may find Dash sexy as hell, but she did not take any crap from him. She did try to fight her attraction to Dash, but realized it was pointless. The feeling was mutual. Dash couldn’t resist Bryce anymore than Bryce could resist Dash. He was too damn hot for his own good. They complimented one another so well and were amazing together.
Overall, this book is a 5/5 for me! The chemistry between Bryce and Dash was amazing, the town was adorable, and the secondary characters were the best! I honestly can’t wait until Riven Knight. I need more of all of those amazing secondary characters (what the heck is going on with Draven! I need to know!) and Bryce and Dash! The preview Devney left at the end of the Gypsy King was amazing. January cannot come soon enough! I need more of the small town of Clifton Forge and all of its amazing residents! Thank you so much for writing that fantastic story Devney!
