This is a great romantic suspense story. It has an intriguing plot with drama, action, mystery, suspense, romance, and plenty of spark. The characters are captivating and well developed. There are twist that will keep your interest to the very end.
Excellent, very well written romantic suspense. It has the perfect balance of intensity, action-adventure, mystery and steamy romance. This plot is so gripping, that I couldn’t put this down. Great characters, I really like the development of some trust in one another to build on their instant attraction. Both are independent and intellectual in their individual fields so he needs her just as much as she needs him. Really enjoyed their interactions and their very interesting story. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
Not what I expected from the title. Regrets and truths.earning and loss of trust.steamy. True family. Lisa has put all in.

This is the first book that I have read by this author but, it definitely won’t be the last. This was a great, fast paced romantic suspense. It had a great plot but, the storyline was character driven. Hamish and Jill were endearing and realistic characters. I also loved many of the quirky and endearing secondary characters. I would love to read Jake’s story.I would love to read the next book in this intriguing series and I would definitely recommend it.

Our heroine owns a business which makes people in need of protection disappear. Our hero is tracking his brother’s killer. They collide when the killer might be one of her clients.
This is book three in the series and it works fine on its own. There is a continuing thread from the previous books, but nothing that got in the way of this story.
This is a romantic suspense story, through and through. The intrigue and action, to my mind, drive the story, with the romance coming in second, which works just fine for me. The plot also has several twists and turns which keep things interesting. Our characters are well developed and, in general, I like them a lot. I did feel that our tough and resourceful heroine gave into the hero a little too easily and our hero is a bit too obsessive, but otherwise felt they were a good pairing. Overall, the story was very enjoyable and kept me interested all the way to the end.
Recommended.

For me worth 3.5 stars
It took me a while to get into the story. The run-up to the investigation into the disappeared Brianne took its time when it was already clear that the two main characters were attracted to each other. Once in the story the tension rises quickly, the story held me. Sometimes you saw developments coming, but I thought the effect was nicely structured.
I loved Jill’s character. A woman who stands up for herself and is not guided by other emotions than sometimes her own insecurities that she tries to hide. A woman who is loyal to the people around her.

ALIAS helps people disappear. Trouble comes when n Officer comes to ask Jillian where they have “re-located” a client. That information is classified. As they work Jillian realizes that this job wasn’t what it seemed. Really enjoyed the story line and look forward to more in this series (I’ve read them all).
A great story
The characters were so great and the chemistry between the two main characters was scorching hot.
This book was filled with action, suspense, intrigue and twists and turns with a great ending.
I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it. Then again I like all Lisa Hughey Books!!

I really enjoyed this well written, stand-alone story. The characters are great. The enemies to lovers angle was nicely developed. I, along with the female character, Jillian, did not initially like the main male character, Officer Ballard, though, the reader and Jillian eventually warm up to Officer Ballard and find he can actually be quite helpful. The suspense keeps you turning the pages. HEA. Recommend! Definitely reading more by this author.

This is a romance wrapped in a mystery. Deception, and murder are on the table. So where is the bad guy? This story starts in Scotland, but the romance is all in the USA. Really who could turn down a “hot scott”!?
This story has it all. Humour, action, and sparks and steam. I really enjoyed this story from start to finish.
