Healing Old Wounds.
Lewis and Jasmine Tate are called back to White Horse Creek after their father has a heart attack. Neither have been home for years, not only estranged from their father but from each other too. Whilst Old Man Tate is recovering they learn to be a family again. Lewis is powerfully drawn towards the ranch manager Tanner Bryant but she fights those feelings, they have nothing in common and her life is in LA. Enjoyable quick read.
This is a very emotional story with strong characters and an interesting story line. The author does a great job building the story, filling it with drama and deals with strained relationships and the effects they can have on one’s life. She shows how being judgemental can be hurtful and wrong. It’s a heartfelt story I would recommend reading.

Forgiveness
Lewis & Jasmine came when Tanner called and let them know their dad collapsed and was inn the hospital. When Lewis showed up first it was liked Tanner had been kicked in the heart, but he thought the worst of them. But once he saw them with their dad it changed. He was falling in love but he had to convince her. Besides she needed to work things out with her dad & sister.
Lewis and Tanner have a lot to work out before they achieve their HEA. Loved the family dynamics and how Milan Watson resolved them. The ending was a little abrupt. Lewis changed her tune too quickly. Despite this, I still loved the story.
I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A short well written heartwarming romance. The characters are entertaining and interesting. This amazing storyline has secrets, family turmoil, drama, twists and turns, an emotional rollercoaster, and sexual tension. An engaging addicting read. I honestly and voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
A screenwriter finds the perfect setting for her own story; too bad it comes with some tears

I enjoyed this quick, mild heat and not explicit romance between a dyed in the wool country guy and a former country girl who’s kicked the ranch dust off her boots and settled in the city. The catalyst for their meeting was a sad one, but it ultimately leads to mended fences in heroine Lewis’s family and the opportunity for her to examine what she really wants out of life. Yes, hero Tanner is every bit the macho man, but he’s kind, devoted to Lewis’s father and a strong self-made individual who knows where he belongs, what he wants and what makes him content. I liked him despite his extreme confidence when it came to dealing with Lewis. The Colorado country setting was lovely, too.
Just one jarring note: there is an about-face near the story’s end that was too abrupt. It felt like, having reached a page quota, the story had to end lickety split. IMO it would have been much more effective if it had taken more time. Believe me, I rarely say a scene should be longer. I am much more inclined to comment on scenes, especially romantic clinches, that drag on for too long. But, in this case, shorter was not better.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
