Wickedly Fantastic!
Once again these two amazing authors have written a fantastically wicked story, filled with so much darkness, suspense and intrigue. The world building and character development is utterly fantastic and amazing.
Book 2 continues Quinn’s story and development. She is a force to be reckoned with. The strength and cleverness that she displays is unreal. She is truly an amazing character and we have only just begun to delve into her psyche. There is still a lot to learn about Quinn and I have a feeling that book 3 is going to crack her open slowly for us. Quinn is becoming one of my most favourite characters of all time. And Lazarus is a stormy brew of intense dark sexual appeal! Quinn and Lazarus are playing a dangerous game with each other and the end result is going to be explosive!
Such a fantastic series so far. I can’t wait to read the next book. Highly recommend.
Book two of this series was just as wonderful as book one. Quinn and Lazarus are still playing their dark dance and I enjoy their question and answers sessions, it allows more of a peek into each character’s past.
The pirate queen was interesting and I hope we see more of her in future book. I love the addition of Axe. I think she is going to give Quinn a run for her money.
I am very Ingrigued about Quinn’s origin story and events that happened in her homeland. I’m eager to read book three!
If you haven’t started this series, I highly recommend that you do. The characters are well developed and you will easily love the complexities of Quinn and Lazarus. Their slow burn, almost romance, is starting to heat up. I can’t wait!

Wow! The first book was amazing, but this one just blew it out of the water! It was full of action and suspense right from the start all the way to the end. The tension between Quinn and Lazarus is absolutely insane! Each character is so unique and has some kind of a dark past that you cant help but relate to them in some way. I’m so in love with this series. I wish I could give it more stars because I would give it all the stars in the sky. Absolutely beautifully done.

Lucy Smoke and Kel Carpenter are back with Blessed be the Wicked, the second book in their Dark Maji series, and that means that the mighty duo that is Quinn Darkova and Lazarus Fierté have retuned for another wild ride. I loved the first book these two starred in, Fortune Favors the Cruel (separately reviewed) and I’ve been looking forward to book 2. Well, now I’m well satisfied as this book is as superbly written as it’s predecessor, with a plot that’s outstandingly exciting and populated by a great cast of characters. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
This book continues the story from book 1. Quinn’s strengths are shown various ways throughout the story. You learn she’s not just hot headed but great in negotiations. She learns more about her magic and how she can use it to her advantage. The struggle with Lazarus continues as they push each other’s buttons. I couldn’t put this book down!

Quinn is at it again and I can’t believe how fast she is to read on. Between her and Lazarus I am in awe. This was a great sequel and another great work from Kel and Lucy. Keep it up ladies, you’re on fire!

You did it again ladies!
I feel blessed to have read Blessed be the Wicked. Holy crap ladies! You did it again and I want more! The character development, the plot, the wit and the adventure! WOW. The writing is spectacular. Once I think I’ve got it in my head…Syke.
I don’t know who wrote what…who thought of what but I am in love!
This book was even better than the first.
Quinn is amazing. Badass! I wish she were my bestie so we could think up ways to be awesome together. Lazarus is…well Lazarus.
I don’t have words and I always have words!
I love this series.
It’s like eating a piece of bread with gravy, then the gravy runs out and you still have bread left.
Thank you for taking me to another world and making me want more!
My insides are churning. I will not spoil anything for anyone in this review.
I will start from the beginning and reread again because it was that good.
The concept of the Dark Maji continues to enthrall me in Book 2 of this series. This plunge into the dark-heroine/hero realm is skillfully written with rich detail and continuously developing characters. Quinn’s balancing of her humanity with the fearsome scope of her magic is the foundation of this story. Add in court intrigue, a Pirate Queen and her unpredictable daughter, and sparks igniting whenever Lazarus is near and you’ve got another book that’s hard to put down!

They’ve done it again! I can’t wait for the next one. There are so many ideas forming in my head on where this is going! I loved the character development in this one and the forbidden internal battles they fight. I loved that they pulled the first book and second book together flawlessly. Answering questions while also forcing us to make more. I enjoy the new character brought into the story and desperately hate the ones that have left the story. My only remorse towards those leaving the story is the final scene… Frankly I quite liked that character. The story line was great and ran smoothly no plot errors that I noticed. Overall amazing as always. Now it is time for me to impatiently buy patiently await the next one while hopefully not pestering the authors too much. Ha! Bring it on Twisted is the crown!
