Do you want to be a viscount?Adam is shocked when his employer unexpectedly becomes a viscount, but he is more shocked when his employer is murdered. When the killer spots Adam, there’s only one thing Adam can do: flee. Fortunately, he has his employer’s papers with him, including a boarding ticket to England. Less fortunately, everyone is eager to introduce him as a new viscount. If Adam is … viscount. If Adam is going to avoid imprisonment for impersonating a nobleman, he needs to convince people that he actually is one. The only problem… He doesn’t know anything about being an aristocrat.
She’ll make a viscount out of you.
Pretty, intelligent Lady Isla McIntyre knows everything about being an aristocrat. She was supposed to become a duchess, until her fiancé brazenly eloped with another woman. Now she has plenty of time on her hands and is eager to distract herself from her new status as an ostracized spinster.
Training Adam was supposed to be a diversion, but it was never supposed to involve her heart.

This is the 4th book in a series. It is great to read at any time but it is better to read it in the series order. Each book is romantic, funny, unrealistic and interesting to read. The two main characters are Isla, the daughter of a villain and the jilted fiance of a Duke (Callum), and Adam, a man on the run from Africa. The book is fun to read and has an ending that does not disappoint
How to Train a Viscount by Bianca Blythe is book 4 in the Wedding Trouble Series. This is the story of
Adam and Isla. I haven’t yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Isla was to marry a Duke but was jilted so now she is pretty much shun by the town but she has went forward to take her life in a different direction. Adam was helping his employer get ready to travel to claim a Viscount title in England that they both were surprised about. But then his employer was murdered and now they are after him. Adam ends up taking his employers information and heads to England for safety. Once there he asked Isla to help him learn the way of the town and their mannerisms. Of course they are both attracted to each other which leads to feelings start to build between the two.
Enjoyed their story.
A short book and very different from anything I’ve read in quite a while.
Adam witnesses the murder of his employer, who just inheirted his title. He assumes his employer’s Identity and sails to England. Once in England, he hires a young lady to teach him how to make his way in society. Eventhough he reveals his true identity to her, it doesn’t make any difference. Soon their lives are in danger from a murderer.
Adam is shocked when his employer George Randall unexpectedly becomes a viscount, so Adam is sent to book a passage from the Cape Colony to England but on his return he is shocked to find Randall has been murdered. Things go from bad to worse when the killer spots Adam, there’s only one thing Adam can do: flee. Fortunately, he has his employer’s papers with him, including the ticket to England, he grabs his baby monkey Thabisa & runs. On arriving in England things conspire & Adam finds himself continuing the charade but If he’s going to avoid imprisonment for impersonating a nobleman, he needs to convince people that he actually is one.
Lady Isla McIntyre knows everything about being an aristocrat. She was engaged to a duke but he broke their arranged engagement. Now she has plenty of time on her hands and is eager to distract herself from her new status as an ostracized spinster.
A well written well paced story. The characters had depth & generally likeable. Isla had appeared in earlier books in the series & I was so pleased that she had her HEA. Adam & Isla were drawn to each other at their first meeting, their attraction grew as she instructed him on how to behave like a nobleman. I did have a slight problem with some of Isla’s previous behaviour. I’ve enjoyed the whole series. A page turning romance with the added spice of a murder & wondering if Adam would be revealed as an impostor
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
I found this book to be a very enjoyable read with the good storyline and characters that were so well detailed that I was totally captivated until the turn of the very last page!
Luck and the Single Lady
Lady Isla was very publicly dumped by her betrothed Duke for a blue stocking of inferior social status. They’d been engaged for years, so long that any chance for her to make a match evaporated when it ended.
But Lady Luck has something other than spinsterhood in store for Isla. Adam is Lord Randall’s manservant, sent to procure passage to England when Randall discovers he’s inherited the title of Viscount of Tremont. When Adam returns to the estate, he discovers Randall has been murdered by the local Magistrate. Fearing for his life, he uses the ticket and papers and sails for England. He planned on simply disappearing, but the ship’s well-meaning captain gets him housed at a Duke’s home, until Adam secures lodgings elsewhere. This leads to an invitation to a gathering where he meets Lady Isla which leads to him hiring her to teach him aristocratic etiquette.
From the beginning, Adam has thought Isla the most beautiful woman he’s met, but hell’s heart is won by her character, personality and spirit. From the beginning, she knows he’s a fraud, and it’s this honesty and Adam’s vulnerability and humility that win her heart. Of course, there’s some drama before the happily ever after, and characters from previous books in the series make appearances. (I like that kind of continuity.)
All in all, an enjoyable foray into Regency England, even if there is an “appalling lack of propriety” between the leads.
Adam and Isla are people with secrets. Adam witnessed the murder of his employer, a newly named viscount. Unfortunately for him, he came upon the body and the murderer. Fortunately for him, he had already arranged passage to England for his now dead employer and also had all his papers in hand. His escape, assume the viscount’s identity at least as far as England and safety, after all he knows nothing about being a nobleman. However, once he is assumed to be the new viscount, he finds no way back to his normal life. He meets Lady Isla at his first public soiree and recognizes her as a kindred soul even though she is definitely noble. He hired her to teach him how to be a viscount. Just what kind of a discount does he make? What is Isla’s secret, she only tells Adam? I love Bianca Blythe’s books. She has such a great imagination, so she is able to place her characters in very unique situations. This tale is no different from her other offerings, quick paced, full of intrigue, danger, and rich, very likeable characters. I have not yet read a book of here that I did not greatly enjoy.
A lighthearted romance, one initially built on deception and secrets, as Adam approaches Lady Isla McIntyre to train him in the ways of a Viscount. Add a monkey to the plot and one has an interesting and different slant to the lives of the aristocracy. The story is fun and fairly witty and comes to a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This is the fourth book in the Wedding Trouble series but can be read as a standalone. It was full of drama, misery, mystery, murder and romance. The characters from the previous books show up in this book and add an interesting twist to the story line. I really liked the characters in the book and felt sad for Isla. Her brother and their friends deserted her when she needed them. Adam was such a great hero and so sensitive to Isla’s loneliness. The book well written and kept the readers attention. I couldn’t put the book down once I started to read it because I wanted to find out how it would end.
How to Train A Viscount is book 4 in The Wedding Trouble series by Bianca Blythe. I really enjoyed this book. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments and some steamy romance scenes. Lady Isla is in book 2 of this series “Dukes Prefer Bluestockings”. She is the debutante left at the altar. She is also incredibly rude; but this story reveals a deeper side to Isla. She is touchable, vulnerable, relatable. I understand her earlier actions. This story shows her redemption. I thought the hero Adam was a likable character and as he learns to be a peer, he happens to be quite funny. “In truth, there shouldn’t have been anything remarkable about brown hair and brown eyes. They were the most common color of hair and eyes. Yet, somehow his eyes seemed warm, imparting a strength like coffee, a strength that made her giddy and made her remember the taste long after. Strands of his hair were light, as if he’d spent time in the sun and was unaware of the existence of hats. He met her gaze and she jerked her head away conscious of warmth inundating her cheeks.”
I especially liked the pet monkey Thabisa. I thought her addition was clever. Bravo Ms. Blythe for another well written romance.
They will overcome heartache, tragedy, and seemingly insurmountable odds to find a love that lasts a lifetime.
My free opinion. Thanks.
I follow this series since its first release, I do love the witty banters and humour Mrs Bianca Blythe adds to her stories.
The premises were intriguing and I do loved the hero, Adam is a kind man, he is no peer and worked all his life doing what he has to survive like being the employee of a very despicable man, man who is murdered and forces him to flee the culprit impersonating his new titled late employer.
But to appear as a Viscount he must learn how to be a Viscount, why he requires Isla’s services.
Even a wealthy man, he stayed true to himself and tried to improve the life of those under his care, a hero from my heart.
No alpha rogue but a kind man full of empathy.
I confess I disliked her in the previous books, she was rather cold, haughty and arrogant.
Here she appears as a changed woman, aware of her faults and flaws.
Warning, spoiler ahead:
Then it is funny how a tiny detail can kill the mood.
I have no problem with my heroines not being virgin, if was required by men laws during these times, but here, having a young lady becoming a Mata Hari or a kind of demirep to spy on her country behalf, it was quite disturbing for me, as if it was added to the storyline just like that. Plus during her period of service she was betrothed, not a love match but he was her childhood friend, so it was like cheating for me.
Rather inconceivable how a earl’s daughter and sister could have acted this way while her friend, brother and fiancé were fighting the French army. Spying in some way, it is already difficult to comprehend as she was a debutante but playing a courtesan in full, it is hard to digest.
Plus it added nothing to the story, just a kind of explanation about why she felt free to seduce Adam. She has decided to remain unwed, a spinster, so she had no need to justify why she wanted him.
End of spoiler
The story was still very entertaining and enjoyable, but the shift in character of Isla was a bit abrupt, and rather odd for the cold and calculating lady she was previously. She redeemed herself but she is still far from my favorite character in this series.
Hopefully the quips and repartee helped smooth the storyline.
My copy was provided by Netgalley and its publisher Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op but I purchased my own copy.
This is romantic, amusing, dramatic and suspenseful. Adam is a simple assistant until his employer gets murdered, and Adam sees the man who did it. He knew if he stayed he would be killed too, so he took the papers he had on him, and the ticket to England he’d just bought for his employer, and got on the ship under the name George Randall, the new Viscount Tremont. Not anticipating taking the title permanently, he’s shocked when he ends up at the Duke of Belmonte’s home being introduced as Viscount Tremont. And to make matters worse, he’s forced to go to a ball to introduce himself as the new Viscount Tremont. While there he meets a woman who seems to be a kindred spirit when she helps him escape when she notices that he’s trying to escape out a window. Lady Isla had just realized that society women looked at her as a threat instead of a resigned spinster. So talking to a man she hadn’t been introduced to really didn’t bother her. And it still didn’t bother her the next day when he unexpectedly showed up at her door the next day asking for her to tutor him, on how to be a Viscount. She knows he’s not who he says he is, but she agrees to do it as a lark. They find that they get along well, they like each other and they lean on each other for support. And they begin to fall in love. But when they are at his estate attending the ball he threw to introduce himself, his past catches up to him and puts both of them in danger. I love how her “family” reacts to the situation. The storyline is captivating and the characters are interesting.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
A wonderful book, funny with some twists.
Isla, a young woman, with some free time as she is a spinter (at only 25 years old!)…
Adam, a young man, that is impersoning a lord… so Isla is teaching him the correct behaviour…
A murder and some villains…
Will love and true win?
A book for all!
Lady Isla McIntyre and Adam’s story has twists, turns, drama, suspense, murder, a couple of villains, a monkey, and romance. Adam witnesses a murder and flees but he only has papers on him that pertain to the new Viscount so he becomes Lord George Randall, Viscount of Tremont. As he does not fit in with the Ton he finally hires Isla to teach him how to be a Viscount. I enjoyed reading this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Love Rules!
Adam becomes a Viscount under the most extraordinary set of circumstances and Lady Isla agrees to train him to be one.
This is just the beginning of a most remarkable love story, one which kept me guessing to the very end.
How would what was happening affect them and their decisions?
Would they or wouldn’t they be able to set aside their differences of opinion or not?
How would what was happening affect them and their decisions?
Would they in fact be able to remain together?
These are just some of the questions that kept going through my mind and I loved being challenged like that. It made the reading all the more interesting!
Bianca Blythe has grown as an author and the more I read of her works, the more I am enjoying them and so it gives me much pleasure to recommend this splendid story to you.
I read an Advance Reader Copy of the ebook and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.
