It’s been months since Maeve Brennan has been on a date and she’s coming dangerously close to giving up on men altogether—until she crosses paths with River Hill’s handsome new barista, Ben Worthington. But Ben’s made it clear he only wants to be friends, so Maeve will definitely stop fantasizing about his forearms. Probably. Maybe. Former big city lawyer Ben Worthington never thought he’d be … thought he’d be living above his best friend’s garage and slinging coffee, but there’s a lot about his life that doesn’t make sense—like his attraction to the town’s beloved do-gooder, Maeve Brennan. But since Maeve’s made it clear that she doesn’t have time for romance, Ben will stop dreaming about her naked. Soon. Eventually.
But when the youth center where Maeve volunteers is threatened by a developer with deep pockets, Ben calls on his legal past to fight fire with fire. He just hopes she can live with his take-no-prisoners attitude to winning, because he’s pretty sure he can’t live without her.

The Barista’s Beloved has it all – friends to lovers romance, small town, & wine. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with this combination, and the authors swept me into this sexy & heartwarming story. I love stories where I feel like I’m a lucky visitor, and this is definitely one of those. Don’t miss it!
An enjoyable friend’s to lovers romance story. This heartwarming story is a standalone within a series so you get to catch up with other characters in the series. The storyline is a good story with some angst, unexpected twists, ups and downs and heartwarming moments with a small town setting. The characters are interesting and have amazing hot steamy chemistry that can no longer be denied creating an enjoyable journey while they finally get over themselves and give in. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.
Bad coffee leads to a great love
Maeve and Ben meet over bad coffee and an embarrassing interaction with friends. Maeve has a successful career but is lonely. Especially with almost all her friends painting off. Ben is a burnt out lawyer whose career imploded so now he’s working as a barista, a bad one lol, while he contemplates his next move. A friendship blossoms even though they both secretly want more. Through their friendship they spend time together and their feelings only increase until they can’t fight it anymore. Ben has the opportunity to help Maeve but will a career opportunity take him away from her and turn him back into the person he doesn’t want to be anymore. Great story. It had me smiling and then furrowing my brow with what was going to happen next. Wonderful love story. Makes me want to buy a fur rug 😉
As Maeve has watched all her friends find their “one” she wants the same thing for herself, but she hasn’t been able to find a man interesting enough to date let alone considering a future with. The first man to inspire any feelings in her for a long time is Ben, the new barista, but he has made it clear that friends is what they are destined to be.
Ben’s life has taken a drastic turn from a successful corporate lawyer to barista at the local coffee shop and living at his friend’s house. The only light in his day is his interactions with Maeve but he knows he is in no position to be considering a relationship so to protect both of them they will remain strictly friends.
Maeve has a big heart so when the youth center where she volunteers is threatened, she and Ben work together to try and protect it. Spending time together the chemistry ignites, and they must decide if they are willing to take a risk on what they could have together or if friends is all they are destined to be?
Not only did we get to know Maeve and Ben, but we got to catch up with the other characters in this series as well. This is a heartwarming story about love and friendship between two people who just needed to get out of their own way.
Maeve is single and trying to volunteer for anything and everything just to keep busy and her mind off all her friends finding their love of their lives. When she gets her regular cup of coffee and meets the new Barista – Ben, she is intrigued as he is gorgeous but makes a terrible cup of coffee. Ben isn’t really a barista but he has to do something now that he isn’t a lawyer anymore. But when one of Maeve’s volunteer places needs help since someone is buying them out, Ben in interested in helping. Not to mention being able to see more of Maeve. These two circled around each other a bit too much. I could have shaken both of them to just take a chance and say something. With Ben being such a shark in the courtroom, he wasn’t very strong in going after Maeve. But the story was interesting and their interchange was good (even though they both wanted the same thing).

This is the first book I read in this series and now I want to go read the rest. This was very entertaining and you still get to meet the other characters even if you haven’t read their stories. There’s laughter, teasing, friendship, love, and sexy times!

Fun, sweet, slow burn and super sexy with some frustrating moments. Ben and Maeve are friends. This is their story and thoughts about being more. I haven’t read any of the other books in this series, but I loved this one and know I will be looking to read them next. I was turning page after page to read how Ben and Maeve navigated to their HEA.
A sweet, funny, cute and somewhat frustrating. Ben and Maeve’s journey to their HEA was a bumpy one because of their own setbacks. It was great to see them overcome their issues and growth.

This may be my new favorite book in this series. Loved Ben and Maeve and seeing the rest of the gang.
Maeve and Ben became friends after there friends embarrassed them one night, then everything went wrong will they manage to move forward or is this the end for them. I really enjoyed reading this book and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series as it is well written and by a great author.
I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy Of This Book.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a sweet, cute, funny though somewhat frustrating friends to lovers romance that kept me turning the pages to see just how Ben and Maeve would overcome their own issues and get their HEA. I really liked Ben and Maeve but they constantly got into the way of themselves which was frustrating. Ben is a good guy, and Maeve was sharp and sassy but with a generous heart.
This isn’t the first book I’ve read from Rebecca Norinne but it is the first book of this duo, and I really enjoyed it! I think I am definitely going to have to pick up the other books from this writing duo because I really enjoyed it.
***4 Stars***
This was a sweet, cute, funny though somewhat frustrating friends to lovers romance that kept me turning the pages to see just how Ben and Maeve would overcome their own issues and get their HEA.
I really liked Ben and Maeve, I did, but boy did these two get in their own ways constantly. Ben is a good guy, but one who is lost in the man he once was and can’t seem to grasp that he can change and be more than he once was. Maeve is sharp, sassy and has a kind and generous heart. She doesn’t necessarily have a bleeding heart complex, but does tend to lose herself in those good deeds when she doesn’t want to face something head on.
Ben and Maeve mad their journey to their HEA really rough on themselves. First by drawing lines to save themselves (and each other) and then by tripping over their own feet when anything that they deemed ‘more than being friends’ came up. It was funny and frustrating all the same time, but once they stepped over the line with each other things got better and they established this flow that just worked for me. Then came the sinkhole. It wasn’t a surprise and while I got why it was such an issue, I have to say that I was totally #TeamBen and though I would have liked a little more in the way of grovelling, I liked the way things ended up for them.
While this isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author, this is the first of this series, definitely not my norm, but life happens and I’m hoping that I’ll find pockets of time to read the previous books in the series because I really liked all of the characters who are apart of Ben and Maeve’s lives and how they helped them both along the way. But overall, this was a quick and fun, if not a little frustrating, friends to lovers read that was low on angst but filled with great characters all around.

3-3.5 stars.
Here we have Maeve and Ben, she loves what she does and is constantly helping others; and he’s adrift in his life after quitting practicing law, and now hopes to find some direction in this new town.
They start as friends and are hesitant to start a relationship, since Ben doesn’t know where his life is going, and Maeve is a girl who wants an HEA of her own.
I liked both these guys; Maeve was delightful and omg I soo wanted her to find love. Ben kinda grew on me, at first I didn’t know what to think of him, but then he showed a lovely side of him, and willing to help this new community.
They were frustrating at times. Ben was very hesitant to start something with Maeve, and I could understand why, but didn’t completely agreed with his view. And Maeve really needed to listen instead to making rush decisions.
Still, all in all, it was a lovely read with lots of swoony moments, little drama, and small town life.
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
Maeve is a sweet, red-headed Irish gal, and I love it! I really like a hero who is struggling with who he is, and what he wants, and that’s what we got in Ben. I got a kick out of each of their internal dialogues, as they tried to be just friends, when neither really wanted that. And when they finally got together, it was so awesome and so sweet!! The book kept me interested and wondering what would happen next.
