Never fall in love with your roommate… ideas.
First, I find out what Albie does at the weekends, and I lose one quarter of my heart.
Then, I discover what happened to the dogs he loved, and the quarter becomes a half.
Next, I watch him be a hero when the storm hits the Ark, and the half turns into three quarters.
And finally, I see how much he loves his family when disaster strikes.
I’m only in New Zealand for another three weeks. After that I’m going home to France. There’s no point in starting anything. But now he’s captured the whole of my heart, and he doesn’t seem keen on giving it back.
So I kiss him. Then he kisses me.
You can guess what happens next.
Mon Dieu. I’m really in trouble.

The Billionaire Kings is set in Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary and features the sons of the heroes from the USA Today bestselling Three Wise Men series of contemporary holiday romances. The books are all standalones, and you don’t have to have read the Three Wise Men to enjoy The Billionaire Kings, but if you have read them you will hopefully have fun meeting up with Brock, Charlie, and Matt occasionally in these stories! This new series takes place approximately thirty years after the Three Wise Men, but it’s not set ‘in the future’. I just thought it would be fun to write a new series that had a connection to one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

I really liked Remy and Albie’s story. I’ve gotten really invested in the characters of this series, so I was happy that these two got their HEA.
There were a lot of emotional feels in this book and Ms. Woods made me laugh and cry.
This is book 3 in the Billionaire Kings series although it like the others can be read as a stand alone. This book is Remi’s and Albie’s story if you have read the other two books in this series. If you haven’t read the other two yet, you get to meet these two wonderful characters.
Albie is somewhere on the Spectrum meaning he is on the autism spectrum but at the very high end. He is identified in the story as having Asperger’s Syndrome which has nothing to do with his very high intelligence but it makes it hard to read social clues and facial clues. And because they miss these clues, they tend to be very blunt, straightforward, and often labeled as misfits by normal society. (But everyone I know on the Spectrum happen to be funny and fantastic people to know.)
Remi is French and in En Zed for a working holiday and to get over a bad relationship. She is not wanting to get into a relationship while she is in En Zed but there is something about Albie that pulls her in. Plus he is her boss and landlord so things are a little delicate. But she can’t ignore the pull.
Like all books written by Ms. Woods, the scenery of En Zed is a huge character of the books. Plus her characters and plot lines are wonderful. You want to be a part of this group of friends.
I did receive a copy of this book in advance in exchange for a fair unbiased review.
A dreamy, sexy guy to make you melt!
I absolutely love this book! Albie is such a wonderful, sweet, sexy guy who put it all out there for his lovely lady. Albie has a touch of Asperger’s (he can’t read social cues), which I think makes him a fascinating guy. He is one of Serenity Woods’ best heroes, and she has written a lot of great ones. I also totally love Remy, the feisty French woman who is trying to find her father’s roots in New Zealand. I fell for Albie as quickly as Remy did, with all of the sweet things that Albie did and said.
The supporting characters are wonderful as well. I can’t wait until the rest of them get their own books.
The bedroom scenes were on fire and had exquisite intimacy. I highly recommend this to everyone who loves steamy contemporary romance.
I received a free advanced reading copy from the author, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
I think what I love about this author the most is the way she writes her stories around very real illnesses and life’s challenges. Albie, Summer and Poppy are three characters who are front and center in this book, and although the story got bogged down in a few places, I loved the overall message of hope and acceptance it told throughout. Remy is perfect for Albie, she brings the best out In him, and accepts his challenges without question. Summer’s illness was nothing short of heartbreaking, but the message is clear, live every day as if it’s going to be your last. Pretty special message.

‘My Roommate, the Billionaire,’ by the incomparable Serenity Woods, is a wonder! I read it in two sittings and loved every minute of it. This big clan of geniuses and misfits and old friends and cousins are so lovable. And this tale has so much heart. I was brought to near tears a couple of times. It is also, hot as! and fun!
I’m not sure with what personal experience or authority Ms. Woods writes about Asbergers (“or just Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), … a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.” -taken from a good site for further info. https://www.autismspeaks.org/what-autism) but she certainly writes with compassion and sensitivity. Hopefully it will prompt others, like myself, to look into it further.
Frenchwoman Remy came to New Zealand to find her father; with three weeks until her Visa runs out, she has not been successful. For the past couple of months she has been working at The Ark and lodging in Albie King’s house. Ever since he met her, Albie has fancied Remy but she turned him down the one time he asked her out because of his reputation as a ladies man and her past experience of rich men. However, at a party to honour Albie’s father, she get an insight into his behaviour and her feelings are softened towards him. What follows is a beautiful romance, trouble at The Ark and health problems for Albie’s sister Summer. Whilst part of a series can be read as a standalone. Recommended read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
5 Star Review of My Roommate, The Billionaire (The Billionaire Kings #3) by Serenity Woods
Serenity Woods has jumped 30 years into the future for this series which is based on the children of the original Three Wise Men series. This is the third book in the series and is all about Albie King and Remy De La Vieuville.
Albie is one of her roommates (and her landlord) and despite knowing they shouldn’t, both Remy and Albie are developing feelings for one another. The chemistry between them sizzles in the air, even though neither of them have acted on it.
I was riveted from the first to the last chapter and read this one in almost one go. Serenity Woods writes with such a depth of description that I find myself transported to New Zealand whilst reading.
There are plenty of complications as they battle a cyclone and I was on the edge of my seat as Remy also searches for her biological father.
This was an extremely well written, emotional story with a great deal of angst as well as some happy and joyous moments too. As always it was great to catch up with other members of the King family and their friends.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I adore this book. I loved it. There were several moments that I got choked up, and several that made me smile. I love Albie, he is so much like his dad Charlie from the Three Wise Men books, and Remy is a good match for him. She understands that he doesn’t always understand social cues, and subtlety is lost on him. Albie is a great character that shows that not all heroes in books have to be alphas.
There are sexy scenes, of course. One in particular. And if you can listen to the song that is mentioned during the scene, it becomes even sexier and hotter.
I was so engrossed in the story that I kept saying “One more chapter, just one more chapter” and before I knew it, I got to the point that I may as well finish it. And when I finally did, it was after 1 a.m.
This book has strong family ties, tears, laughter, excitement, romance, and steamy sex . All told in a wonderful story.
This latest book by Serenity Woods is a fantastic addition to her Billionaire Kings series. Albie has a beautiful home and lots of money but he has a hard time forming relationships due to the fact that he has a mild form of Asperger’s syndrome. Remy is on a year long visa to New Zealand from France, looking for the father she never knew. Even though Remy has shared Albie’s House for a while, they finally act on their attraction to each other. With only two weeks left on her visa, can they forge a lasting relationship?
This is a wonderful, heartfelt, sexy love story. As always, Serenity’s writing pulled me in from the very beginning, until the very end, and kept me wanting more. All of the other characters, some of who have already had their own HEA, are warm and wonderful friends, and the interaction between them is fun to read. I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series!
I have been given an ARC of this book, bit my opinions are solely my own.
My Roommate the Billionaire by Serenity Woods
The Billionaire Kings #3
Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is where Remy De La Vieuville ends up working as an animal groomer for the last few months of her year in New Zealand. Albert “Albie” King is her landlord and he is a co-director of the sanctuary. The book begins at the 60th birthday party of Charlie King, Albie’s father where we meet many of the characters from the series and it is also where Remy begins to realize that her preconceptions about Albie are perhaps unfounded. As they begin to spend time together she learns more about him and his family and also learns more about her biological father while Albie learns what has made Remy leery of getting closer when he has offered to do so. The question is what the two will do if they fall in love when she has to leave in a few weeks when her visa expires.
This was a sweet and yet steamy story of two people destined to be together and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon with the couple as they worked their way toward their HEA. I loved Albie’s forthrightness and Remy’s eventual openness that allows their relationship to grow and become all that it can be. I love the rest of the Noah’s Ark community and though I know who the male lead for the next book in the series is I also hope that there will be books about Poppy, Fritz, Stefan, Jules and some of the others. If this series ends with book four perhaps there will be a spin-off for the rest of the cast and crew at the sanctuary, at least I hope there will!
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
5 Stars
This series takes us into the future and it’s based on the children of her original Three Wise Men series and for me every book that involves this family is very special because everyone of these men are kind, caring and sometimes a tad alpha when it comes to their soulmates.
Albie and Remy’s story captivated me, it’s full of feels and it was a story I didn’t want to end. This couple know a relationship should not be on the cards after all Remy only has a few more weeks in NZ and Albie has never lasted more than a few dates but sometimes fate puts people together for a reason and this couple soon see they have so much in common as they battle a cyclone which looks like it’s going to destroy The Ark .
This book was so much more than a love story it was more like a journey and I was so glad I came along for the ride. I love this tight nite clan of family and friends, I love their kindness, their loyalty but most of all I love their belief of giving something back to this world. This beautifully written story had the perfect mix of passion, angst and humour and once again I was happy to spend time with the King family and their friends.
“I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.”
I can count on half a hand the number of books that brought me to tears. Book #3 of The Billionaire Kings did exactly that.
Albie and Remy’s story is full of feels. How can you not emphasize with what Albie has to deal with every day? Serenity Woods was very detailed in both action and feelings on, not only Albie’s life, but also Charlie and Poppy’s lives and the things they would go through. In addition, she provided a different perspective based on how people not on the spectrum, react to someone on the spectrum.
I loved the way Remy made the effort to tune into Albie, and how they interacted as a couple. They were so supportive of each other, including, during Remy’s surprise and Summer’s situation.
Their intimate moments, although sexual, were more sensual and romantic than anything else. That is not to say there was no intensity involved. There were definitely steamy moments.
This book is full of love, support, friendship, family, and loyalty. As with this author’s other books, you are left with a deep dive into your emotions, a smile on your face, and a HEA.
