I won’t let any man get between me and my dreams. Not even a drool-worthy one like Clay.Kinsley:When I meet Clay Dale, he just makes me so mad. Telling me what to do. Making me stay at his place just because he accidentally hit me with his truck. Who does that? His dominance does strange things to my body, and when he brings out the rope… all I want him to do is take me, hard. But I can’t … hard. But I can’t betray my dreams of making it in Hollywood. I’m so torn, I’m almost at breaking point, and not just because I got pounded by his enormous… truck.
Take Me Hard is the third book in the bestselling Arizona Heat series, which features stacked cowboys, steam, a little discipline and a whole lot of action. If you like mild drama and detailed naughty scenes, this novella is for you.

This was a great series! I loved how we got to see each guy on the Lemon Tree Ranch find their perfect match! I also enjoyed the BDSM aspect of these books! I felt that each scene was organic with the storyline.
The men of the Lemon Tree Ranch are experts at rescuing strays. This is Clay’s moment, and it is rather poignant. Kinsley is just that, and her backstory is, while not tragic, not a happy one. Nevertheless, they do find their attraction and…well, you have to read the book.
Wow, this is a really great read, it has just the right amount of steam and the characters are likeable and had a good rapport.
I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
I loved Clay! The characters in this book are well written and the storyline fantastic. The chemistry is off the charts. Katie Douglas definitely delivers with this book.
Take Me Hard is the third book in the Arizona Heat series, but would read well as a stand alone. Kinsley has grand plans of becoming an actress in LA, but when Clay finds her hitchhiking, he takes her back to his ranch, trying to help her. Her impulsiveness and lying quickly lands her over his knee and soon they’re facing all the passion connection them. But when Kinsley is faced with her dreams, will she stay with the man she’s falling for, or will becoming an actress tear them apart?
This book was really good, with lots of steam, a bit of sweet, and a really strong connection between Kinsley and Clay. Kinsley was a unique combination of being sweet and innocent with strong and fierce. She knew exactly what her dreams were and fought for them, even if that meant making some not smart decisions along the way. Clay is the type to not put up with any crap, like lying, but he’s really considerate of others and has a deep heart. I absolutely adored how quickly he started to take care of Kinsley, both her body and soul. While their relationship happened fast, heavy, and steamy, they were both realistic about their differences and Kinsley wanting to chase after her dreams. I think one of my favorite parts of this book was just how Clay showed her time and again how she’s not alone anymore and he was willing to do anything and everything to keep her safe, loved, and hopefully with him. I really enjoyed this romance, have loved this series so far, and look forward to the next book!

Kinsley dreams of a better life and she leaves home to find her dreams.
Clay is a dominant down to earth man and when they meet with a bang there is chemistry and hotness galore.
Discipline and desire war with dreams and when Kinsley moves forward with her future Clay is determined to give her space and help to find herself, will the gamble payoff for a future together or will he loose her forever.
Thank you for your review.
A must read from this author. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest review.
What a great book. I love the dynamic between the characters. I also love that he did not make the choices for her. He let her find out the hard way, but at least she can learn from her experiences. Now, I need to go and read the first two books so that I can see the whole dynamic of the lemon tree ranch. If you like your books with doms/subs, then you will like this book. I received this book as a review copy and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
This was a great story. It was well written and fast paced. The chemistry between the characters was sizzling hot. This book has everything you need to keep you turning pages hot sexy men, steamy scenes and some conflict thrown in. I cannot wait for what this author writes next.
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
This was a fantastic story! I love reading about everyone at the Lemon Tree Ranch. I was excited to read Clay’s story. I highly recommend this book and this series!
Kinsley has had a rough childhood and she is on her way to Hollywood to become an actress. She thinks that is her way to get a better life. While hitchhiking, she runs into Clay or rather Clay runs into her. Clay takes her back to his ranch to recover. They are attracted to each other and decide to play before she leaves. When her family needs help, Clay steps up to help her during the trying time. Will they be able to make something work?
Another great domestic discipline romance. Clay and Kinsley were so entertaining to read about, i caught my husband reading a few chapters. Yay! I have truly fallen for all the cowboys at the Lemon Tree Ranch. The only one left is Jake. So lets do this! I’m ready!
Happy reading!

Take Me Hard is a great, quick and easy read that has amazing characters. If you like BDSM, this is the book for you. This is well written and has a great plot. How much trouble can one actress and cowboy really get up to? I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
A great short story, the best out of the three in my opinion.
Kinsley just wanted to be an actress. Leaving home she was hitch hiking to L.A. Clay is on his way on from looking at a horse they wanted to buy for the ranch when Kinsley steps out in front of his truck. He takes her home with him and she gets a spanked backside, but Kinsley loves the pain and pleasure Clay gives her, she loves how he makes her feel safe, the only thing is she has to try at her acting Career. She must leave before she decides to stay and not go at all.
This is the third book of the Arizona Heat books. Each on has been different and really good. Kinsley is hitchhiking across county to LA. Kinsley wants to be an actress. She left home and didn’t look back. Clay happens to be driving back from a horse buy but didn’t buy the horse. Kinsley is hot and sticky and when she sees a truck coming down the highway she jumps in front of it so that it stops and she can get a ride. Clay hits her but didn’t really hurt her and ends up talking her to the ranch. After spanking her for lying to him he decides to ask her about BDSM and they decide to try it. It has lots of adventure and action and some twists and turns. Rally a great book. I enjoyed it very much.
Kinsley wants to be in actress and leaves to hitchhike her way to LA. Clay is driving down the highways when Kinsley jumps in front of him to stop him. Upset by what almost happened Clay forces her to come back to his ranch with him. Sparks fly between them and even though going to his ranch wasn’t where she wanted to go originally Kinsley went with him. The longer they are together the more suspicious Clay becomes of Kinsley until he learns the truth. He can tells that she’s a submissive and talks to her about BDSM and the lifestyle. Pretty soon they are explore things together but will it be enough to have Kinsley put dreams of acting behind her?
This is an great story that will draw you in from the first page. The chemistry between them is off the carts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Naughty takes a few unpredictable turns when emotions come out to play. Douglas spices up romance in the most sinful way. Take Me Hard keeps the senses on high alert, while putting the moves on the heart. No one does love like Katie Douglas. Sprinkled with sugar, heated with flames and full of wicked delight.
Our heroine has plans, dreams of being an actress. But can it measure up to the reality in front of her?
This is book three in the series, but it functions just fine as a standalone. No prior reading is necessary to enjoy this book.
And in my opinion, enjoy it you will. This is my favorite book in the series so far. That might be because it is the most recent that I have read, but this one was over the top fun. I love our characters and the chemistry between them. They just fit together so nicely. Add in a well written story with a solid, easy to follow plot and you have a real winner. Oh, and I should mention that you also get some very nice and steamy scenes as well as some well done BDSM. Highly enjoyable and well worth your time.
Highly recommended.
I received an ARC for review purposes.
“Take Me Hard” is the third book in the “Arizona Heat” series by Katie Douglas and it’s just as HOT as books one and two. Her stories take place on the Lemon Tree Ranch in Snake Eye, Arizona. While Clay was coming back from looking at buying a horse he sees a woman hitchhiking along the road. As he approaches closer, she jumps out in front of him to get him to stop. Now Clay was towing a horse trailer so it couldn’t stop on a dime and wound up hitting her, not hard enough to break anything, but definitely enough to bruise her up and leave her sore. He can’t leave her there and immediately his DOM personality takes over and tells her he’s going to take her to the ranch and give her a spanking for her shenanigans when they get home. You know where this is going, right? This is definitely a front row seat to an instant chemistry but there are life lessons to be learned along the way and Katie Douglas makes sure we see them. I can’t wait for the next one.
“If you like mild drama and detailed naughty scenes, this novella is for you.” Said the blurb. Well, I read this first two in the Arizona Heat series, and I was not passing this one up! Ms. Douglas sure knows how to steam up your e-reader screen! Another great, sexy, quick escape! No ho-hum here! Loved it!
