Enthralling fantasy from a world bestselling writer.Eefa and her twin brother, Magio, are on the run, hunted by a ruthless predator with a pack of terrifying wolf hounds. They have no idea why this is happening to them. Until recently they enjoyed a carefree life in the ramshackle town of Warren on the semi-tropical isle of Moon. Since birth Eefa has been invisible to everybody other than Magio, … than Magio, an invitation, as Magio sees it, to adventure, inspired by the tall tales of their lodger, Quimbre. But now the sudden death of their beloved Gran has turned their world upside down. Out of the blue, terrifying giants attempt to kidnap Eefa, who is rescued by the intervention of an eccentric old woman the locals call “Bird Woman”. And now Bird Woman insists that Eefa and Magio are no longer safe. They must abandon their childhood home and flee to the Valley of the Raptors, high in the snow-capped mountain peaks of Moon.
What fate awaits the twins in the Valley of the Raptors? Will Eefa truly learn the reason for her unwanted lifelong invisibility? Is Bird Woman telling them the truth? Will she and Magio escape from the vicious forces that are closing in about them – or is it all really a malevolent trap?

The Twins of Moon was a little slow to get going but once it did it was a game of cat and mouse right up until the very end. It was full of interesting and larger than life characters. it is another story of good versus evil and how the two main characters, who are siblings, and twins, try to work out who they are and why they are being hunted by a big and in my mind, a very ugly Scog.
Watching two youngsters run for their lives with the help of a strange bird woman and an old pirate, after having to leave the only home they have known, and not know why they were being hunted, kept me interested and wanting to read more. As the story unfolds it is discovered that the lives of the two main characters was never going to be of their own making, forces were influencing them from the very moment of their birth.
This novel would appeal to young teens through to adults who like to read fantasy adventures.
So, over all a very good read, a relatively easy read and I really enjoyed. Frank Ryan has left the story with room for continuing the adventures of these two young heroes. I would read a sequel novel.
The Twins of Moon by Frank P Ryan is a tale of an epic adventure between Magio and Eefa to discover new things about themselves.
Will Eefa ever be visible in her life?
The Twins
The twins, Magio and Eefa, have been through a lot in their young lives. One major thing is that no one believes that there are two of them. They can only see Magio and think that he has an imaginary friend that he calls his twin sister. That is until one day when their lives turned topsy-turvy and have to figure out why this is. Magio is more of the adventurer of the two, while Eefa doesn’t want anything bad to happen to them. Well, even worse than what has already happened to them.
What I like about them is that no matter what, Magio has always been into trying to protect his sister even if no one has believed him. Another thing that I like is that Eefa is still able to keep Magio happy and from thinking too hard about their parents. The one thing that I disliked is the fact that we never truly know the ages of the twins. I’m picturing them between the ages of ten to twelve years old, though.
The Adventure
The twins go on with two people that they think can help them when a race of people that were here first detected Eefa and wanted her. After that, everything started moving fast for them. I got lost quite a few times with this, especially after some parts that I won’t say and spoil it for you. I’m just saying pay close attention when reading this book. The adventure is pretty cool and especially as they discover why Eefa is the way she is.
Three Stars
The Twins of Moon by Frank P Ryan was definitely different than what I thought it was going to be. The twins had a lot of difficult things to overcome on their quest to find out why Eefa is the way she is. I am giving this book three stars rating.
