My name is Tala Phoenix. I’m a dragon shifter. And I’m on the run.Quick catchup. I can fly. I’m dating a freaking Greek God. Oh, and apparently busting a gang of magic kids out of a creepy school means I’m in charge. Like I need that kind of pressure in my life. I can barely walk and breathe fire at the same time…As if that’s not enough, Hera’s evicting us from Olympus. We’ve got one week, and … Olympus. We’ve got one week, and we’ve nowhere else to go. Except, maybe, the Phoenix clan’s stronghold. My family home. The problem?
1. They might all be dead.
2. It’s not like they know who I am anyway.
3. Oh, and it’s in the Dragon Badlands. Where even the gods fear to tread.
It’s not exactly a trip to Hawaii. But we don’t have a choice. The DSA are hot on my tail, and we need somewhere safe. To hole up, train, and figure out how to survive.
Because right now we’re down. But we’re definitely not out.

I’m going to step out on a limb and say the sequel is better than the original. There is more action and the reader gets more insight into the characters. I look forward to reading more.
Better than the first one!!! … Can’t believe how good this story is getting, Tala is growing so much, she is becoming an amazing young woman who, despite her fears and doubts, keeps pushing forward, overcoming every obstacule the DSA, the witches and some Olympians throw in her way!!!… I love that she doesn’t give up, even when everything seems lost, even when they fail, she will continue figthing because is the right thing to do… Now that the DSA as publicly accused Tala, Demi and Kian, will they find a way to clean their names and reveal whom the real bad guy is?, will they find a real safe place to live?, will Axel be by her side or walk away?… OMG, the next book is going to be awesome, can’t wait!!!
Tala Phoenix and the Dragon’s Lair is book 2 in this series and I hope will not be the last. Gabby’s exceptional imagination and gift of words has created an amazing series. In this addition we see Tala take charge and try to find a new home for her band because Hera gave her two weeks to get her rag tag band of misfits and orphans out of Olympus. This is a ride you will not want to miss. Am anxiously awaiting/hoping Gabby has another book/adventure in this awesome series waiting for us. This is a ride you will not want to miss. Highly recommend this awesome book and series. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
ONE BUZZING EXPERIENCE!!!

Talk about one mind blowing, jaw dropping wild rollercoaster ride of unpredictable activities and surprising events that have all of your swirling emotions bustling to life vivaciously. This bad boy will keep you in a tail spin, on a razors edge throughout the entirety of this juicy little number. Struggling through all the trials and tribulations along with so many twists and turns really thrusts this bad boy together wonderfully. Toss in all the drama, uncertainty and suspense you have the making for one intense experience. The characters are authentic, believable and realistic with such depth and individuality its easy to relate. The scenes are written with such realism theres no trouble interpreting each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Amazing job Gabby, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Wow! What a fantastic ride! Tala Phoenix and the Dragon’s Lair was a wonderful trip into the unknown with my favorite superheroes! Tala and her friends go on an adventure to find a new home for themselves and the rescued orphans. Along the way, they encounter many dangers, deal with multiple dramas and fight many battles to save themselves and others, all while being relentlessly dogged by the DSA. The storyline is fast-paced, filled with twists and turns, magic and mayhem, danger, drama, personal growth and a little romance. The characters are well-developed and emotionally engaging. I can’t wait to read more to see where this story goes!
