A visit to the Annex was meant to be a night of fun. Something to relax me. Maybe I’d find a girl, maybe I wouldn’t. I had very little expectations.Until Angelica walked into the room looking like she stepped out of a 1952’s Home and Garden Magazine. It wasn’t just the sexy domestic style that caught my eye, it was more. I was drawn to her. One night. A little fun. A little roleplay. But it … roleplay. But it wasn’t enough. I don’t think I could ever get enough of her.
But my pretty girl lied. She hides something from me, and I won’t accept that. She’ll learn. And when it’s all over. When I’ve saved her from the demons chasing her, I’ll truly make her mine.
And she’ll live obediently ever after.

Far too short but perfectly packed with familiar characters, hot sex and Ms. Stone’s usual drama, twists and spankings. I could definitely read a longer version of this as I read it in about forty minutes and was left craving more! Loving this series so hard at the moment, can’t wait to see what comes next!
A hot, fun and spicy little read
Obediently Ever After was originally a story exclusive to Ms Stones email list. So if you think you’ve read some of this before, that will be where you found it. However it’s not available in one complete novella and, as such, is now much easier to read.
Angelica and Damien are an interesting couple who meet on ‘Angels’ first evening working at the Annex. A series of half-truths, evasions and out-right lies leads to Angelica getting a punishment spanking. When we find out who she truly is and why she is at the Annex the plot moves at a rapid pace.
There is a good balance of scene setting, relationship building, kinky times and character interaction. I have to be honest and say that this was just far too insta-love for my tastes. Many readers love that trope, and this will be a perfect read for them, but I need to see my characters fall in love a little more slowly.
With a pretty busy plot packed into a fairly short read, I did feel the main characters lacked a little depth. This was particularly true for Damien, for me he was just a little flat. However that’s par for the course in shorter reads, you can’t have lots of story AND lots of character depth. It’s also why I avoid the majority of shorter books, however I love Ms Stones work as well as the Annex series.
If you want a ‘sweet’ (as in low angst) but steamy read, with a dash of domestic-discipline, well written and with a good story line then I very much recommend this.
As with all of Ms. Stone’s books, I really enjoyed this one. Angelica and Damien were perfect for each other, even though he has to keep her out of trouble. It wasn’t as dark as some of her other stories are and I don’t really want to say much more so I don’t spoil it. The story had me from the first page and kept my interest all the way to the end! A short and quick read that I loved!!
This is a short, sweet jaunt into the outskirts of the Annex world.
Plucked from the Annex-Menu on her very first party night, Angel turns from one young woman in need of protection, into a serious family- and business problem when her contract partner finds out who she is and why she really is there.
But leave it to the men around the Titon family to take care of their women in their own inimitable way!
Oh my goodness! I just loved this novella! A one-sitting read with plenty of heat. I found the plot and the characters to be as refreshing as Damien found Angelica! Damien was determined to find out Angel’s secrets and so was I! Just great in typical Stone fashion!
An Annex standalone, domestic discipline novella about Damien and Angelica. Angelica’s got herself in a bit of trouble, and her efforts to solve her problems only compound them. This is a hot DD story with a privileged female lead who wants a regular life. Damien & Angelica were a perfect fit and I loved reading about their beginning. Evenly paced with lovely flow. Great little read!
I received a copy of this book. My honest review is voluntarily provided.
Damien and Angel’s story was amazing. From where they meet to hire they met. The Annex has a funny way of bringing people together. I was hooked right from the get go.
I really liked how this story went, it had a lot of feeling and super sexy at the same time. Angelica and Damien were made for each other he had such a big heart you could just melt and meeting a girl that’s trouble with no choices in life and getting to show her the way his way made all the difference. They had great chemistry and I loved the character development from start to finish, the story just flowed perfectly and keeps your full attention.
What a truly beautiful story! Now some could say, how can a book about a D/s relationship be beautiful, but it truly was. Damien went to the Annex and met Angel and instantly became enamored with her. He wanted to spend time with her, but he knew there was more to her story. Angel is a woman who has the air of the 1950’s era about her, and that is what attracted Damien to her. But can she tell him the truth of why she was at the Annex? I loved the chemistry between them, not just because it was sizzling, but there is respect between them. Can these two make a go of a relationship? You will have read this enjoyable story to find out!
What a fantastic, wonderful and sexy book. Before you read this excellent book you need to read Beast, Tower and Red. Doing this you will understand what The Annex is. One thing you will learn from this book is not to lie to anyone because of all the trouble it will cause. Enjoy this wonderful book by a great author Measha Stone
Finally, Damien’s story. A romance of d/s and hot impact play. Let me just say the sexiness and nostalgia of a 1950s pin-up girl always brings a classy yet raw sex appeal of an era long forgotten. When tradional domestic values meet modern societal ones it’s a win win. This quick well written read hits all my hottness buttons!
IMO this is one of this author’s gentler stories & initially takes place at The Annex.
There is of course, D/s punishment, spanking & s*x (all completely consensual via written contract between H/h), suspense & tension, but most all of the non-D/s action takes place ‘offstage’ or is rapidly resolved.
BUT, and this is a huge BUT, the author as always, pulls the eager reader into the lusts & concerns, the worries & fears as well as the motivations & goals of her H/h. Damien (H) is at The Annex almost in boredom with zero expectation of finding anyone he wants to enter into a contract with, & then a vision, seemingly from the 1950’s enters the room. And Damien is instantly enthralled, engaged & determined she’ll be his.
Angelica (h) has A LOT on her mind, she’s nervous, unsure, a newbie & has seriously fudged her Annex resume in order to obtain contracts in order to earn money for a huge issue she is hiding from family & friends. And when Damien focuses in on her, she’s excited & terrified in equal measure but accepts his contract offer.
I loved how instead of being a sexy siren vixen in a scarlet sheath dress, Angelica has always been drawn to the dresses & styles of the 1950’s, & in her 1950’s style dress & hairdo, to Damien she seems as though a breath of fresh air. She is sexy & beautiful but in an old fashioned sweet way.
And Damien is a intent predator laser focused on his sweet prey. And he knows she’s hiding something. And he is determined to find her secret out one way or another, even if it involves multiple trips over his lap . . . .
This one is a quick, sweet read that has some steam, some tension & some angst (Angelica) & I enjoyed it very much.
i love the Annex books and this was no exception. Angel has a secret and lies to Damien when they meet. Damien hates lies and so begins the passionate journey of Angel and Damien. It is hot and sexy and a quick read that leaves you needing an ice bucket but it is very satisfying.
