She’s the girl I never forgot… walks back into my life. Now my family is caught in a dangerous dance, and it’s time to focus, support my kin and protect those I love … including her.
Mischievous. Fiery. Seductive. A single instant gazing into her deep jade eyes is enough to trap me like a fire breathing beast in a snare. I want her, but there is a secret I am forbidden to tell her. Love cannot be built on lies.
But Vivian has a secret mission. One that doubles as a ticking time bomb, at least for my family. I should tell her the truth. I should walk away. Instead I find myself caught in a web of lust and lies that have me making one disastrous choice after another.
But life is short, and even the deadliest bombs can be diffused. Right?
Tick tock.
This is a super steamy paranormal dragon shifter fantasy romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers. Fans of Terry Bolryder, Zoe Chant, Harmony Raines and Ruby Dixon may like this dragon shapeshifter series.

I liked the way that Vivian and Adam ran into each other again at the wedding and then again at the air port. Vivian found what she wanted to do and was working hard to do that. Adam went with her to help keep her safe. I am glad that in the end the things Adam wasn’t able to tell Vivian came out and Vivian understood. I also enjoyed that they were both going to do what they needed. They fought for their HEA from when they were children and deserved it.
I received an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
Another fiery story
Vivian and Adam have loved each other since children and will fight for their love. Their story is filled with danger and fiery love.
This is a really fantastic series!
Adam and Vivian fell in love when they were kids. But were separated by their parents and the council. A human and a shifter is forbidden. Years later they meet at a family wedding. Sparks fly between them. After a chance encounter at the airport Adam and Vivian go on a dangerous mission. Love, lies, secrets. Will Adam and Vivian finally be together at last?
“I voluntarily received this arc book for an honest review”
This is the second book in a series that I voluntarily received for an honest review. This book picks up several years after the first book. I was disappointed that more of those years were not included in the story since book one stops in the middle of a scene. This book is about Adam he is the biological brother of Daniel from book 1. While at the airport he happens upon Vivian –who happens to be Daniel’s sister that he grew up with- (FYI read book 1 you will then understand). These two were close as children but for some unknown reason the families stopped seeing each other. Vivian has a job she has told no one about and now Adam is putting himself right in the middle of her very dangerous mission. This book had lots of excitement and tension. More questions are answered, we get to meet up with Daniel & Natasha again.
This was a great read but it really helps to read book one. I am disappointed that to be a shifter book there is very little shifting. The Shifter world this author has created will take some time to get use too
It’s so sweet that Adam is so protective of Vivian. And a little jealous too. Some times we make decisions with out all the information to help us make the right one. So there will or could be something that should have stopped us but at the time we did not have the information. That is what happened with Vivian. So now she is in danger and brought Adam along with her. The story is exciting and you just know something will happen at any time. It’s like walking through a Fun House and you are just waiting for the next turn to see what will happen next. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
What would you do if fate intervened twice in your life and showed you your fated mate ? Adam finally finds his mate and the Dragon Council has put her off limits, she’s not a dragon, she’s human. Will Adam follow the council decree or his heart ? This book was very hard to put down as they fight family and evil to stand together. Lots of twists and turns in this one. Very good characters as this book follows Adam and his life. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Cassidy got a scholarship a the local college for broadcasting and broke it off with Ben her fiancé, he became deranged. Jamie was one of her professors and they fell for each other. People were trying to kill Jamie and problems with her ex. She go lost for a little bit but then everything turned out ok. Great book!
This is the second book in the four book series and it’s Adams turn.
Reading the first book (Dragon’s First Shift) we meet Adam. He’s the second son, nothing much was ever expected of him, that was all his brother’s job (Daniel has his story in the first book) so when a holiday appears, Adam is all over that idea, he just needs to get away just for a little while.
Now Adam knew Daniel was his brother, but Daniel didn’t (confused? then I advise you to read the first book)
You really do need to read the first book in this series, the family dynamics at first are a little confusing….
Quick catch up….. Daniel was unaware that his family wasn’t actually his family, and his friends are his real family! And he’s a dragon shifter!
Vivian is taking photos for her brothers wedding. (Her real brother, and now she’s got her head around that confusing piece of information) She’s loving the day, well that is until a blast from her past rears it’s ugly head……
Adam is attending Daniel’s wedding to Natasha. Not really paying much attention to his surroundings, until Daniel spots the photographer taking family photos, there is something that tickles his mind…… Vivian and Adam were childhood friends, but like most kids, they grew up and grew apart. Vivian might have been close Adam once, but she never realised the family were dragons!
Adam is going to chase Vivian, she might be Daniel’s blood sister now, but there are no familial ties between Adam and her. But bringing her into the family at the moment could be dangerous. But love doesn’t always run to a timetable.
The more time they spend together, the harder it is to keep what he is away from Vivian. And he knows she’s suspicious, she’s not silly, maybe she would understand?
We also have the council that are more of a hinderance than a help! They don’t think humans and shifters should be together!
And don’t forget Lucas Davenport he’s still trying to his bring evil plans to fruition!
This was better than the first book. More content. But I do think you’ll need to read the first book.
