The Bridal Train is Grace Nelson’s ticket to a new life. After losing her home and everyone she loves, her only recourse is to marry. Now that she’s arrived in Kansas, she is thrilled to learn that her groom has a prestigious job as the deputy sheriff. But the wedding can’t go on as planned—because he’s been dead for two days.Sheriff Brock Bell doesn’t know what else could go wrong this month. … this month. Between the stagecoach and train robberies and being down a deputy, the last thing he needs are more complications. So when a woman arrives in his office in tears, claiming she was his late deputy’s bride-to-be, he’s determined to get rid of her as quick as possible. But as it becomes clear the vulnerable woman’s about to get snatched up by the wrong type of man, what choice does Brock have but to marry her himself?
Grace is thrown right into life as the sheriff’s wife—hobnobbing with society ladies, trying to learn her busy husband’s idiosyncrasies… and fishing bullets out of the big oaf? Brock isn’t quite sure what to do with Grace, but she sure does have the prettiest eyes this side of the Mississippi and a sharp tongue to challenge him at every turn. Only when she voices her opinion about how to stop the notorious bandits in town, Brock considers locking her in the house. Or maybe he should just kiss her until she’s quiet?

A sweet romance between Grace and her Sheriff. She’s pretty much a mail order bride without a groom and he’s her knight in shining armour. This marriage of convenience had a slow simmer as the got to know each other. I really enjoyed it and loved the epilogue.
Poor Grace!! First she loses her parents and then her husband to be. She is stuck in a new town with no money, no husband and no place to go. So she pulls up her skirt and goes and finds answers. She didn’t know that was going to put her in the path of Sheriff Brock Bell.
At first the good sheriff tries to ignore her being a busy man and all. Once he find out who she is and what brings her to town a feeling of duty comes over him for his fallen deputy. It doesn’t go unnoticed that she is also easy on the eyes.
I loved reading about these two trying to figure out life together and also Grace having to be a Sheriff’s wife and all that entails. One thing though, I didn’t really understand why the housekeeper/maid didn’t like her. My only thought was she didn’t seem to like change and when the Sheriff goes to work one day and brings home a bride, that is a huge change.
I hope there is more in this series!
Sweet, western, historical romance…
There was a lot going on in this novella-sized romance and all of it made for a jam-packed read! Grace was now alone and forced onto the bridal train as a means to survive. What she didn’t expect was another change in circumstances that meant her groom was even more unexpected. Brock was the Sheriff and didn’t have time to breathe let alone to entertain a new bride. He couldn’t see any other solution he could live with so marry they did. What followed were gentle sparks but fly they did…
I really admire women in Grace’s position who had nothing – no family, support, skills – yet round the courage to move forward and find their way. Grace was another great example of someone who, despite her precarious situation, understand her own self-worth and intelligence. Grumpy housekeeper and nosy neighbours? A husband who kept himself aloof? She said bring it…
A quick, sweet and fab read!

Charming Bridal Train Romance!
Sheriff Brock Bell is captivated by feisty Grace Nelson and married her on the spur of the moment. Their journey to finding happiness is an engaging love story. Enjoy!
I received an advance copy and am happy to leave my honest review
This is an interesting and romantic story. After Grace’s parents died she had no way to support herself, so she became a mail order bride. When she arrived in the town she was to be married in, she was told that the man she was to marry had died. He was the deputy sheriff and had been shot. Grace wanted answers about how and why her betrothed was killed so she walked to the sheriff’s office to talk to him. Brock left her sitting in the full waiting room for hours before he spoke to her. After talking she asked if there was someplace she could stay and her her room and board, while he was thinking a couple of men in the waiting room offered to take her home. Brock didn’t like that, so he decided to marry her himself. Troubles with replacing a deputy, and a jealous housekeeper keep them busy, too busy to be a couple. Grace is strong, smart and feisty, Brock is caring, protective and determined. The storyline is entertaining and all of the characters are interesting.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
The third book in The Bridal Train series is a well written story that had me smiling at somethings. Sheriff Brock Bell’s deputy was murdered and Grace Nelson came on the Bridal Train to be his wife. When she decides to do something Brock does not like he marries her. They will have a lot to go through before they get their happy ending. Brock should have listened to Grace when she said she had bad feelings about someone. There is suspense, drama, danger, robberies, a villain closer than the sheriff knows, and romance. I enjoyed reading this book and will be looking for more in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Grace is forced to apply to be a mail order bride and the journey out west is filled with hardships and risk as trains and stage coaches are robbed and women are assaulted when they arrive. She is told her deputy intended was killed and goes to talk to his boss Sheriff Brock Bell, who offers to take his place as her husband. She moves in a higher society than she did back home and is expected to spend her days in leisure and entertaining. She doesn’t like the deputy Brock hires to replace the one who died and tells him to Brock’s displeasure. His housekeeper doesn’t like her either at first. She wonders if she can overcome these obstacles to find happiness with Brock. This was a clean mail order bride romance with plenty of suspense.
Grace lives in a small town , and has lost her parents to illness. While visiting her pastors wife she tells Grace she should go on the bride train. Gracie decides to go but once she arrives the man she was suppose to marry was the debuty and was killed the day before while one duty. So she ends up marrying the sherriff. While a robber is on the loose she must agjust to her new status.

“Grace” (The Bridal Train Book 3) by Emberly Hart is a wonderful read. I loved reading Grace and Brock’s story. This is the first book in this series that I’ve read and I am looking forward to reading the others as well. This story hooked me from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down. This is a wonderful historical romance. Highly recommend to all fans of historical romance, and series.
A great addition to series.
This enjoyable read was just what I needed after unpacking boxes all day. I adored Grace and Mrs. Mac. The sheriff was kind of a blockhead at times but he was a pretty decent character too. This is a quick read and is a great addition to The Bridal Train series. Here is hoping the author plans on more stories. If you like this type of book I recommend you pick this one up. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it
Brock and Grace were brought together under trying circumstances. They both were expecting something different but forged together and became one with trust and love.
So heart warming as they open their heart to what can be even when things are not what’s expected.

A sweet, historical mail order bride romance.
I did like Grace. She was smart, determined, and had a backbone. Brock marrying her was a truly generous move on his part.
There was a teensy bit of a mystery, because it was obvious after Grace’s comment that the bad guy could easily be determined.
Brock and Grace got their HEA, and the author include an epilogue, which I love.
