When a single dad and a newly outed veterinarian meet by chance, it takes red-cheeked conversations, a tentative friendship, and the willingness to put their hearts on the line to show these men they’re made for each other. Single dad Davis Jackson is busy balancing his coffee shop and being the best dad he can be. That doesn’t mean he’s not lonely. After a fumbling encounter with a man who … encounter with a man who looks as gorgeous as he does unhappy, Davis is left wondering who the mystery man is.
All Davis knows is that he has never felt such an instant attraction to anyone before, but when he discovers the brown-eyed man’s identity, it’s clear the recently out-of-the-closet veterinarian is lost and quite possibly broken.
A low-angst stand-alone contemporary M/M romance featuring characters from LET ME SHOW YOU.

I was not ready for this story.
I wasn’t.
I finished reading Let Me Show You and hated Scott. Hated him. I didn’t like him as a character.
Reading I’ve Got You, I slowly fell in love with him as a character. I felt empathy for him–for his story. Becca Seymour does a brilliant job of drawing depth out of Scott, slowly revealing layers of what years of pain, abuse, and suppressing himself have done to him.
It’s a beautifully hilarious and poignant story.
The side characters are brilliant. Once again, I found myself adoring Carter’s mom. She’s a card. The scene with her talking to Scott had me laughing so hard I dropped my Kindle.
Becca had me rooting for a character I’d genuinely disliked at the beginning.
I wanted to see Scott succeed in life and love.
I’ve Got You is a brilliant romance filled with laughter, family, and searing kisses. My heart is happy and full.
This is a follow up to Seymour’s Let Me Show You and while it can stand on its own you really have a better understanding of the characters if you’ve read the first story. This one is more of a redemption story for Scott … and a reward for everyone who wanted Davis to find his own HEA.
I think my favorite part is that Scott’s behavior from the first story isn’t swept under the rug. Even though Carter has decided to forgive and forget, Scott (and those that know what he did) still has to come to terms with what he did and what it means for his future. It’s not easy for Scott, but with help he manages to make himself into someone he can face in the mirror again.
Davis is very supportive and understanding. I love his truth first attitude and how he sometimes is a little too blunt, especially for poor confused & repressed Scott. But he’s willing to be there for him, give him the time he needs to figure things out, and take slow steps together to make a solid friendship (and later something more).
For a new author, Seymour is certainly good at her craft. Her books go from lighthearted and humorous to overflowing with emotion and back again with ease. And her characters are just so darn appealing (even when they are recovering a**holes)! She says there are no plans for any more stories in this series, but with skills like her’s I’m sure that whatever direction she goes will be fabulous. She’s definitely going on my must read list 🙂

Another super cute story featuring a redeemable Scott and lovable single dad, Davis. These two men had some obstacles to deal with, mainly Scott coming to terms with being gay, but eventually they were able to overcome everything and find their happily ever after.
New to me author. This is a mm contemporary story, with Scott and Davis as the main characters. This is book 2 in the series but can be read and understand as a stand-alone. I’ll read more from this author.
So I would encourage you to read Let Me Show You before this one. It would show you how Scott acted and why Tanner was so hostile towards him. My heart went out to Scott in this book. He’s struggling with coming out, telling his family, deciding what to do with the vet clinic and living his life. He wasn’t counting on Davis coming into his life and bonding with Libby as much as he did. Davis was super supportive and patience with Scott, especially he broke a huge amount of dishes but it also made for some steamy moments in the kitchen. It was great to see Scott mature throughout this book. He stood up to his dad, found his passion and his love. Both are the characters are great and it was great seeing so much of Carter and Tanner in this book. This was a great book with characters you will fall in love with!
I was surprised that Scott is the love interest Davis. We got to know Scott in the previous book and he didn’t leave a great impression, but I did see glimpses of the man underneath. I’m glad we got this book because it shows us the true Scott and how much fear and pain he has experienced in his life. Davis is so perfect for Scott. he has the patience and love to help Scott explore who he truly is. Davis and his little are so adorable. they just melt your heart. That’s a reason why I wanted to read this one Davis is a single dad. Then the story hooked me right in. It’s one that warmed my heart. I also liked seeing Carter and Tanner enjoying their HEA. This book has plenty of feels, but it also delivers on the heat. If you’re a fan of M/M romance like me then I highly recommend this one.
How I adored this book , after I read Let me show you with Carter and Tanner I straight away carried the story on with Davis and Scott..
Another winner for me as all these guys are written is such a way that it is an instant smooth solid read.
Davis is a beautiful man he has so much love to give as well as to his gorgeous daughter.
Scott had found life hard but meeting Davis changed everything … A beautiful read with love and laughter …
While I liked Let Me Show You well enough, I really loved I’ve Got You.
In the previous book Scott acted like a real a**hole but now I got to know the reasons behind his behavior. He’s got a deep set internalized homophobia and he’s doing his best to overcome the psychological conditioning done by his parents. It broke my heart to see his inner conflict between what his mind says and what his heart and body crave. So hungry for touch and affection ,so fascinated with Davis and his appreciation.
And Davis is amazing: caring, patient, an all around great man,and of course a good father. I loved watching their relationship develop, each tentative step at a time. Curiosity becomes warm feelings, then turn into hot need and eventually deep, strong love.
I’ve Got You is an absorbing, soul-stirring romance . It was touching to witness Scott grow happy in his own skin and find home, love and family with Davis and Libby.

“I’ve Got You” by Becca Seymour features Dr. Scott Anderson who is still reeling from coming out of the closet and adjusting to accepting and being accepted in his new truth. Meeting Davis Jackson and his daughter Libby make him dream of a life he could never have…or could he?
This adult contemporary gay romance picks up where the previous story (“Let Me Show You”) ended. I wasn’t a big fan of the conflicted veterinarian in the previous tale, but the revelation of his background and his actions throughout this story definitely redeemed him. Of course, little Libby stole the show, and there is a scene involving a TMI moment that is hilarious although poignant as it shows Scott what a relationship with loving parents is like. Watching the heat build and the relationship between Davis and Scott bloom is enjoyable but I think the story is a wonderful testament to the role of family. The elements of humor enhance the story and it was great to have the couple from the previous book (and their dog Rex) pop in a few times. This is a delicious combination of heat and sweet and I look forward to reading more stories by this author.

Sweet, endearing, passionate and forgiving. I loved it!!
Becca has a way with words and characters and I felt her ability to turn my heart over for Dr. Dickwad aka Scott was just wonderful. After reading Let Me Show You, I really wanted Davis’s story and wanted to know more about the beautiful single dad and his adorable daughter Libby. Becca does not disappoint. This story is witty, healing, sexy and sweet!!
I loved that there was so much more to both Davis and Scott but I felt for Scott and his story and loved his progress and journey to become comfortable with himself and his sexuality. I loved how I was able to go from hating him in book one and his treatment of Carter to understanding, forgiveness, and love in this story. The journey for redemption and to forgive one’s self is never easy and Becca wormed these characters into my heart. I love that we got more of Carter and Tanner, along with all the wit and shenanigans that go on with each of these somewhat unfiltered personalities.
Scott and Davis are perfect together and I love the family they have created. While can be read as a standalone I loved Tanner and Carter and would recommend reading all about them too. Great wit, charismatic characters, and a heartwarming “made family”, makes for a great story, I loved it!!

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is sort of the second book in the set, Let Me Show You is the first, and you really should read that one, I think, to give you the full picture of what Scott did to Carter in that book, and why he feels so bad about himself in this one. Not totally NECESSARY, but I think it would help a great deal.
Scott was awful to Carter, and then came out to him, which made what Scott did all the worse. When Scott kisses Davis, Tanner’s best friend, at Carter and Tanner’s party, Scott runs. It takes a great deal of Carter to bring Scott out of himself. Davis is profoundly affected by that kiss, and he knows what Scott did to Carter was bad, but when Davis sees Scott, really SEES deep into his eyes, Davis knows Scott is desperately unhappy with his lot. But can the newly outed vet be happy with the single dad? Can he be happy, at ALL?
Like I said, I think it would help a great deal to read Carter and Tanner’s book before this one. If only to give you the full picture of what Scott did to Carter, and why Tanner is reluctant to forgive Scott, even if Carter does, and just why Scott hates himself so much. You need that bigger picture, I think. Just my personal opinion, is all.
Scott is hurting. He knows what he did was wrong, and the fact that Carter has taken it upon himself to become Scott’s best friend shocks him but gives him hope. He doesn’t know if he will ever be truly happy with himself for that, but he has to try. Meeting Davis at Carter and Tanner’s party was a bit of a revelation. He doesn’t know why he kissed Davis, but he liked it, a lot. Getting to know Davis seems like a good idea, but a deeply scary one for Scott, especially since Davis has a baby daughter.
Davis is lovely! I loved his patience with Scott, he knows Scott is hurting, and he knows Scott is newly out, so he understands explaining stuff is hard work, but very quickly, very early on, Davis knows Scott is the man for him. He just has to bide his time while Scott gets himself sorted. When Scott comes to work in Davis’ coffee shop, it gives Davis the ideal opportunity to get close to Scott. And when Scott meets Libby?? Davis is smitten, deeply!
There is, for Scott, a great deal of soul-searching in this book. Davis is an open book here and Scott is not. It takes time for Scott to come out of himself, and for the relationship between Davis and Scott to develop and I loved that. In Carter and Tanner’s review, I said I loved being made to wait for the main event but here? I wasn’t even sure we would GET the main event! It’s a close thing, I tell ya. But it’s right and proper that these two take their time, and get to know each other properly, I think.
It has some sexy time, some deeply emotional time, some funny moments and some shocking ones. Both Davis and Scott have their say, in the first person. Both voices are very different, and each change is clearly headed at the beginning of a chapter.
It also has some very homophobic comments from a shocking source, where you don’t expect them, but once you know, you understand why Scott was in a bad place before.
We leave this little town, with Scott and Davis, and Carter and Tanner happily settling down to their new lives together. We also get to meet Scott’s sister. I’d like her to be happy too. She had it tough for a long time, and reconnecting with Scott gives her the courage to do something about her life. She deserves the kind of happiness her brother has found, too, please Ms Seymour!
Not quite as warm and fuzzies and too stinking cute as Let Me Some You, but it’s a very close thing! Still. . .

I’ve Got You by Becca Seymour is a sweet, low angst mm romance that made me smile. Davis and Scott are great characters who are perfect together. Their story is sweet, funny and fun, and kept my interest. Well worth the read.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
So, from what I’m understanding this was supposed to be a stand alone with characters from a previous book. It did not read like a standalone, there was a lot mentioned about happenings from the previous book, and we had to fill in the blanks with the hints we were given. That said, this was an ok story. Davis is a single father that is super lucky to have friends like Tanner and Carter to help out. One night Davis has a run in with a brown eyed man, after an amazing kiss that Davis can not forget, the mystery man runs away. When it becomes clear who that mystery man is, will Davis and mystery man be able to make some kind of relationship work between them?
The author left the blurb a bit ambiguous so I didn’t want to reveal the second H. This had a load of drama and just some ok naughty bits. There was a lot of build up between the two, and then when they finally came together it was a bit of a let down. I give this 3.5 stars.
Wow! So many emotions and thoughts when reading the book 🙂
I loved how, while there was no sugar coating past mistakes, there was plenty of self recrimination and forgiveness thrown in. Positive, but not overly sweet 🙂 The author packed a lot of emotions into the MCs and we get to almost feel them all when reading. Great job!
And kudos for the secondary characters 🙂
I received an ARC copy of the book but the review is honest and 100% mine.

When we last saw Scott, in book one, he had resigned and apologized for his behavior. He came out to Carter, and was deeply ashamed of himself. This is where we find Scott in this book. While his Godfather isn’t accepting his resignation, he is not working. He is at a party, thrown by Carter, and meets Davis, but runs off after surprisingly kissing Davis.
Davis is aware of the history with Scott and Carter. Carter has wholeheartedly forgiven Scott, and is trying to help him. Tanner? Not so much. His hatred has lessened to dislike, but still has colorful nicknames for him. It’s a tough situation. However, Davis is his own man, and there’s something about Scott that calls to him. He at least can be friends with the guy, because he sees that he’s struggling. Davis is so thoughtful and understanding of Scott. He is just the type of man Scott needs. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow, and eventually, it takes steps out of the friend zone. Scott is so good with Davis’ daughter, it warms my heart. I love the scenes with Scott, Libby, and Davis. It was also great seeing the personal growth Scott goes through. He went from utterly hateful and vile, to humble and apologetic. His storyline took the readers along for the journey from hating him, to rooting for him and caring about him.
This was a well-written story, and a great follow up to book one. It was great getting to see all of the characters we became attached to in the previous book. While I would encourage you to enjoy the series in order, it’s not necessary. You learn enough about Scott’s behavior (in book one) in this book, that you can read this as a stand-alone. Davis and Libby were introduced in book 1, as well. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for these men next!
***Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie for my reading pleasure. A review wasn’t a requirement. ***
I am loving all the characters in this series! Seeing the growth of Scott’s character has been my favorite part. At the end of this one I was first pumping for him! I’m already starting book 3, I can’t get enough of these characters, and this author has quickly become a favorite for me! I love her style of writing and the humor within. Carters parents – I need more with them!! They had me laughing to the brink of tears! Reminded me of my own parents. I highly recommend this romantic sexy read!
I didn’t read Let Me Show You prior to this so I wasn’t privy to all that Scott was ashamed of. I will say, though, that I’m pretty glad. Going into this with no notions of who these men were gave me a chance to view them through a clear lens. In doing so I found humility, humor, passion, fear, vulnerability, understanding, growth, and love. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Scott was the victim of both internalized and external homophobia. Because of the abuse suffered from all angles, he lashed out in jealousy and fear toward someone he knew didn’t deserve it. (Those events were in Let Me Show You.) Luckily, that man was forgiving and held out a greater hope for Scott than he had for himself. It was Scott’s insecurities and the intimations of their cause that interested me at first, but it was his genuineness that kept me invested in his evolution. He knew when he was saying or doing something in reaction to fear and was trying hard to overcome it. I respected that. What I loved most was that even through his fear, once he made the decision to make something work, he didn’t run. By turning to those who had his back despite seeing him at his very worst, he began to accept the makeshift family that was waiting to love him back.
And then there’s Davis. His lighthearted way of living life was a little too pretty, a little too perfect to fully accept. I’m becoming a single mom myself and despite not having the kind of community he does to help with child rearing, I can’t believe that it’s that easy. I’m not the type to stress out or worry or become anxious so I can relate to him in a way, but the complete lack of struggle in so many things was a bit off-putting. Thankfully he was a cool guy who loved fully and rolled with the punches. His stability and calm gave Scott the perfect foil to his struggles. He was also pretty funny and gave a lighter feel to the story that could have taken a much more angsty turn.
When the confrontations came, it was through love, hard-won inner strength, and the support of those who had his back that gave Scott the determination to stand against that which had crushed him in the past and threatened to ruin all that he was building. I really, really liked where the story ended up and was left feeling light, happy, and content. I wish there were more, actually. I want an extended epilogue to see how their family grows and settles. The steam is high but more behind closed doors with reminiscences rather than a hot in-the-moment play-by-play. Overall, this was a wonderful story where the title was truly apt. 3.5 stars rounded up.
