Building a successful author career depends on three things…You need to attract the right readers to your work. You need to convert “curious visitors” into fans. And you need to turn “fans” into “buyers”. You can do all this with Reader Magnets.Reader Magnets are what bring readers to YOU.They’re an irresistible force that draw readers in – the promise of getting great value content and … that draw readers in – the promise of getting great value content and building a valuable connection.
That’s what it’s all about, after all – making meaningful connections with your audience and creating a direct line to your readers, building trust, and selling without being “salesey”.
When I first started using Reader Magnets, I didn’t even have a term for it. But within a few months, over 15,000 readers signed up to my email list – and “raised their hands” to hear more from me.
My readers trust me with their contact details for good reason. I give them good content. In return, they buy my books. These guys are my fans. I appreciate every last one of them – and they’re the reason I get to create for a living.
Two examples:
the last time I launched a fiction title, it hit #84 overall in the Kindle US Store, selling thousands of copies in the first few days, without spending a penny on advertising.
For non-fiction, my books bring in new leads every single day and are the foundation of the other side of my business – training, coaching, and software (accounting for over seven figures of income per year).
How does this work?
It’s all about getting readers to commit. Get their email addresses. Follow up. Build value. Build your brand. And automate the process as much as possible.
This is what I’ll show you how to do in this book – with clear instructions and zero fluff. If you need more help, I’ve included access to hours of free video training and learning articles. You’ll find everything you need inside.
Download Reader Magnets Today – And Start Seeing Results
It should take a few days to set up, and you’ll start seeing results right away. It all starts with downloading your copy – and taking action.
I’ll see you on the inside!

Some very important reading for any author looking to build their online platform. I’m slowly but surely implementing these steps, and hoping it leads to results as described. If it does, I may have to return to this review and change to 5 stars!

Best book on the market about reader magnets! Learn how to build your email list with Nick’s ideas.
I spotted this book for free when looking for new non-fiction books to read and grabbed it as it sounded promising. It was slightly underwhelming though. It’s quite the short read. It has some good advice, but the whole book is basically one piece of advice and a bit about how to implement with setting up a newsletter, landing page etc. And it didn’t contain much information I didn’t already know.
I think it’s mostly because it all is advice I already knew, although this author does implement things a bit differently than I usually see or would recommend. This strategy would work just as well with either a prequel or a free novella in my opinion. The author does talk things through clearly and his advice is easy to follow and he explains all the steps surrounding it to set it up.
I also struggled a bit with the writing style. It just didn’t quite work for me. It had almost a bit of a sale-y tone. Not quite sure what it was, but it wasn’t really my preferred style to read. It is clear the author knows what he is talking about and he seems to have enough experience with selling books.
To summarize: if you want to know this authors advice on reader magnets and how to implement this, it’s a decent read. The advice is clear and the steps explained well. It was a bit on the short side and didn’t contain much advice I didn’t already know. But it’s free, and short, so why it doesn’t cost much to check it out and see what the book had to offer. For me this was slightly underwhelming, a bit on the short side and the writing style didn’t quite work for me.
Short and sweet. It tells you exactly what to do to get more readers.
1. Build an email list.
2. Supercharge your email list by giving something away for free (a free book, short story, whatever as incentive for people to sign up to your list).
3. Create a funnel book: a book that is permanently free on all the online stores. Make sure your free book that serves as a magnet for your email list is advertised in this book.
Honestly, even with the free book, I haven’t had the “thousand new followers in a week” that the author goes on about. Perhaps I should do the funnel book – but that will only be possible with time. (One can only write and publish at a certain pace.)
I knew all of this already, following Joanna Penn’s blog and newsletter, so nothing new in this book for me.
It’s still a good resource when you’re just starting out with your email list – lots of tips on how to do it right. So I’ll recommend this to all indie authors trying to build their list.
