Dylan Reeves is married to his best friend and raising their three kids, but they plan to divorce when their youngest goes off to college because he finally admitted to her that he was gay. But everything changed when he met millionaire Tristan Wilder!
The attraction between Dylan and Tristan is immediate and hot but Dylan isn’t sure that Tristan will wait for him, but everything goes out the window when his plans change.
Kindle Alexander has written a book that has so much more emotion for Dylan that what I originally expected but there are reasons for everything!

Secret is a stand alone, M/M romance by Kindle Alexander. This has been out for a few years now and it’s been on my to read list for some time. One of the characters is going to get a book of his own soon and is introduced in this book so I decided it was finally time to read it and wow! Just wow! It was absolutely amazing.
First I want to introduce you to Dylan Reeves. He is thirty seven years old, married to his best friend and has three kids, one already in college and the other two almost ready to go. Dylan has built a social network app that allows people to chat and then the chat completely disappears, leaving no trail. He’s gone as far as he can with it and is ready to sell so the company can be taken to higher levels. Dylan’s company, his app, is called Secret. Which is appropriate because Dylan has so many secrets. Secrets he’s been living with almost all of his adult life. You also need to know that Dylan is the best kind of man, honorable, trustworthy. His family is his world. A world he’s sacrificed everything for.
Tristan Wilder is thirty six years old. He’s built a huge computer software company, Wilder, Inc. He wants to purchase Secret. It’s exactly what he needs, an area he hasn’t been able to excel in within his own company. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to win this bid, including wining and dining the owner and his employees while they present their offer. But, as soon as the owner, Dylan Reeves, walked in, every thought, every plan he had walked right out the door. All he saw was the man, a man he wanted.
“Being in Dylan’s arms felt like home.”
Tristan had never been in a real relationship. His work was pretty much his life. Dylan had no experience, having lived his life in the closet. The sparks between these two could light up several city blocks. But, Dylan’s walls were firmly in place around him. And let’s not forget the fact that Tristan is buying Dylan’s company. Could these two have any more road blocks in their way? I loved watching the transformation of these two, especially Tristan. He was pretty much flummoxed by his feelings for Dylan. He just wasn’t a relationship guy, up to that point anyway. He found himself willing to do anything to win Dylan over, to give him a chance. Even pretending to be a jogger on a long run and almost killing himself in the process.
What a wonderful, well written book this was! I both respected Dylan for how he lived his life and he also frustrated me. I wanted him to fall so hard that he couldn’t deny Tristan a single thing. And he did fall hard and fast but still tried to make the right choices. I do want to add in here that his three kids are absolutely amazing! He and his wife Terri, clearly did a fantastic job raising them.
This was such a fantastic, sexy, witty, sweet and wonderful book. I’ve read several of Kindle Alexander’s books now and always enjoy them. I am so looking forward to the next one.
“Thank you for loving me.”

I thought this book was pretty awful. While the characters, Dylan and Tristan, we’re initially interesting, after the first fifty or so pages, they became rather boring as they slogged through a worn out and thin plot morass.
In many ways the book was quite disturbing when you realize what Teri and Dylan have done to their children. It was difficult to see them as anything other than self -absorbed and self-centered.
Finally, we are asked to believe that except for maybe his hand, Dylan has been celibate and uninvolved with the gay scene, yet the first night he meets Tristan, he asks him if he is a bottom.

Secret by Kindle Alexander is so another great story from this wonderful writing Team. I was hooked on this story by the 3rd chapter with Dylan’s life. When you meet Tristan, the bold/Alpha & not in an unpleasant way, this story becomes a can not put down read. The unexpected twist in several character’s stories, the laugh out loud events and the struggles for Dylan & Tristan all found in this story are what keep you turning the pages as quickly as possible. The “cheating” is one of the major points you get on board with quickly and understand (partly it is a Southern thang) because it is all about Family.
Dylan’s struggles with what he thinks his life should be and now seeing what it could be. Tristan just trying to keep up with Dylan’s struggle swings and understand what Dylan’s closet life has & can cost Them.
You will love this story and understand and love lots of People that are important to this story–this is a well but together story and leaves you with a Great Book Hangover–Just a FUN in store warning for All I was given this book.
My Favorite quote: “Tristan missed these shy moments with Dylan. They were the first things he noticed about the guy and the most impactful on his Heart.” That so explains the overall feel of the whole story.
You need to read Secrets!
