Cheers to the best group of friends a woman could ask for.Cheers to small apartments and even smaller…paychecks.Cheers to a broken heart and healing it one Gin & Tonic at a time.Cheers to Happy Hour! Harper Collins is the definition of an independent woman. Working her at up the corporate ladder one rung at a time, she thought she had it all. Well, almost all… there was that one problem – … was that one problem – dating. Harper was awkward, silly and uncomfortable when it came to relationships – never seeing a guy more than a few times. Was it her or was she just fishing from all the wrong ponds?
Was Mr. Right out there or was she just Miss Wrong?

I love the friendship that Harper, Annabelle, Caroline, and Sawyer have! They are very protective of each other. Knowing you have friends like them who have your back are priceless. I absolutely loved Harper and Rhett’s story they are perfect for each other! Harper is a divorce lawyer who felt she’d never find love because of her job and was about to give up on dating after many bad first dates. Swoon worthy Rhett helps run a bed and breakfast with his sister and brother in law meets Harper at a school bake sale she was helping Caroline with. The way they connected was sweet and those dates Rhett set up had me wish he was mine!! I love the Happy Hour Club series so far and can’t wait to see who’s next in the club to find their man.
Hands down this is one of the most adorable books Kristen Hope Mazzola has ever written. It is completely impossible to not smile, giggle and swoon your way through this one. I dare you to try it. You’ll fail. Kristen has such an amazing talent in bringing out the best with her writing and it shows in how masterfully she can grab you so quickly with everything from a gritty MC to a hilarious and sweet rom com. Her talent is perfectly showcased in this one fitting such a full story into a fast read. I don’t call her the Queen for nothing.
I was so into Harper and all her friends I almost forgot the romantic part of romantic comedy until Rhett showed up and reminded me why I always obsess over the heroes in Kristen’s books lol! These ladies are chock full of sass and have a friendship that is overflowing with love. I so want to be part of their squad. Then Rhett showed up and I had a whole new reason to love this book endlessly. Sweet, thoughtful, and the epitome of a good man he was a dream come true.
Once again I have to give all the stars to this one. Kristen has outdone herself!
In Gin & Tonic, Kristen Hope Mazzola injects some humor and maybe a bit of perspective into what can be a truly stressful thing – dating and finding that special someone who fits just right. The book is a quick, fun read, and I love that what it lacks in pages, it makes up for in story. The characters are interesting, the conversations are entertaining, and the romance is engaging. It’s just an all-around fun romcom with plenty of laughs as Harper works her way through some of the worst first dates ever in her search for Mr. Right.
A cute, sassy, sexy, and wonderful story! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Harper is a sassy divorce lawyer who has had lots of horrible first dates! Rhett is the guy that keeps showing up in Harper’s path. Will these two decide that instead of crossing each other paths and take a leap of faith and date each other? This is a cute, sassy, sexy, and wonderful story! Can’t wait to read the next of the friend’s story!
Kristen Hope Mazzola delivers a quick fun read that is sure to have you falling head-over-heals in love. Harper and Rhett are absolutely swoon worthy and I loved them from the start.
I couldn’t get enough of the amazing group of friends and I can’t wait to see what comes next with this series!
I highly recommend you pick this one up!
I liked this fun read. Cute, funny and sweet, Rhett and Harper’s romance is sure to make you, laugh, smile and sigh. A short read that is quite swoony!
This is the second book in the standalone Happy Hour Series. You don’t have to read the books in order, but they are so good that you’ll want to. Harper is a divorce lawyer on her way up the ladder, happy with her life overall, but she can’t find a man of her own. It shouldn’t be hard for a young, successful, amazing person like Harper to get a guy, but for some reason there’s a lot of rotten fish in the sea. Using a dating app, she’s been on some disastrous dates, but she knows that there’s a guy out there for her. Rhett’s in the same position as Harper when it comes to dating, but he’s decided that he needs a hiatus. That is until he runs into Harper repeatedly.
This story is cute and charming, Ms. Mazzola really excels when it comes to the romantic comedy genre. With witty characters, great writing, and a storyline that will have you flipping pages, engrossed until the end, you’ll want to sidle up to the bar and enjoy the Happy Hour series yourself.
Harper is a confident woman. When it comes to her professional life, she takes no prisoners. Personally, she lacks the confidence to take risks with her heart. Mazzola finds humor in what could be realistically heartbreaking. Gin & Tonic is smartly written, irresistibly witty look into one woman’s road to finding her voice. Harper is at her most relatable when she’s struggling with insecurities. We’ve all been there and found our footing in the end. Sweetly charming.
5 perfect weekend read stars!!
This is book one of the “Happy Hour” stand-alone series. This book is Harper and Rhett’s story.
