I have never seen so much love and goodness as I read about in this story. It was very touching and warmed my heart. And a lot of coffee drinking…like…a.lot. Lol!
This is a quick read and I love a happy ending!

Sarah and Amanda are held up by the most inept mugger ever. However, Sarah sees something in Manford that is worth saving. A murder needs to be solved and danger approaches, but their family of friends is determined to stick together. Wendy Meadows has written another engaging novel with a solid storyline and characters who make me want to reach out to others as they do. I heartily recommend Snow Mercy.

In this one, Sarah and Amanda are held up by a dwarf. He’s bedraggled and scruffy looking and Sarah takes pity on him. She and Amanda adopt him and help out. There is a murder in town and for a time Conrad believes that Manford is the culprit and puts him in jail. Sarah convinces Conrad that is not the case and they all work together to solve the murder as well as capture the evil man who is coming to town after Manford.

Sarah is a retired LAPD detective. She is an author and works part time for the local PD with her husband Conrad. Strangely, she and her friend Amanda are also joint owners in a coffee shop that seems to be mostly closed when it is snowing – a not uncommon thing in rural Alaska, in Snow Falls, where they live.
An exceptional number of crazy killers seem to turn up in their little town – Conrad comments on it as well. No suggestion why they come.
Sarah sees the killing and death allegorically- as an evil snowman.
A hit man and a bitter abusive swindler appear this time. Both set on killing and gathering whatever I’ll gotten monies and revenge they can.
Sarah also adds a new member to her family: former circus performer aka ford, who has suffered some significant abuse in his past – and he tries, but does not always succeed, to walk on the right side of the law.
A tangled KU thriller, with murder and mayhem in the woods.

Wendy Meadows keeps me on the edge of my seat—or bed, with this dark and entertaining mystery. I really enjoyed how I could have fun with this book even while I was reading something quite sad and horrifying. The characters, Sarah, Amanda, Manford, Conrad, and Amy all had unique personalities (especially Amanda), and I really enjoyed reading them. The plot was a bit fast the whole way through, would have liked the book to be longer so we could drag out the mystery, but a good structure in general. I really like the setting of this town and the overall tone of the book. There were some really good moments, and I loved to read on and find what else would happen to these characters.
Snow Mercy by Wendy Meadows is a mystery that is a definite page turner—you may not be able to put it down!

Sarah and Amanda meet an a ‘mugger’ but see the good in him. ‘mugger’ has issues, part of that issue is coming after him. Meanwhile, there is a murder, who did it and why. Does it have anything to do with the ‘mugger’?
It is nice that Sarah, Amanda, and the other main characters in this story do not judge people by their looks by but their deeds. There are many plot twists in this book but it all gets wrapped up nicely at the end.
My second is this series. Quick fun easy read. Can be done is a day (I start mine late at night and finish the next day if wondering about my dates.) Book can be read all by itself, although there is a reference to previous book – something to do with a Snowman, thinking first book.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
My issues, but I thought the book had just a bit too much ‘spirituality’ overtone for me. Do not let this deter you from reading this book.
This is my first Alaska Cozy Mystery by Wendy Meadows, but that didn’t seem to be a problem. It was easy to jump right into the story and get to know these well developed characters. The twisted mind of the killer, the intrigue, and suspense made this a good page-turning mystery.
Sarah and her bestie, Amanda, are out for a day of shopping and fun when they are confronted with someone with a knife wanting their money. Next thing you know they are buying the perp lunch. Now the real intrigue starts with a murder — and their mugger/lunch guest is the only stranger in town.
Sarah and Amanda have a haunted past that is alluded to, but doesn’t interrupt the flow of this story.
Get ready to enjoy this 5-star fun and intriguing mystery.

This is another fun mystery involving Sarah and Amanda. Even while trying to help someone the girls ended up in the middle if another dangerous situation. Trouble keeps finding these two but they have a great way of handling it.

The 11th instalment of the Alaska Cozy Mystery is another great read by Wendy Meadows.
