Jaclyn Love is a magnet for trouble – it seems to follow her wherever she goes.Unfortunately for Kadan Davenport, she also seems to be a magnet for him – even after a disastrous first impression that leaves him – literally – black and blue.Jaclyn is busy trying to find some sort of balance, and Kadan is just trying not to get swept up in the chaos. In a small city like Blakewood, it’s hard to … Blakewood, it’s hard to avoid each other… especially when each additional encounter makes them wonder if they really want to.
“I Think I Might Love You” is a first-in-series novella.

This book is the definition of my perfect romcom. Seriously. A nonstop hilarious book that has you smiling/grinning/cackling throughout, with whacky shenanigans yet thoroughly believable characters, a cosy romantic arc, and a happy ever after that made me literally swoon. Not to mention how red-hot this was, but that is to be expected of Christina C. Jones.
Jaclyn Love is that wild best friend you despair of but will adore and protect to the end of your days. Sexy, altruistic vet (both meanings of the word) Kadan has a type: Jaclyn. But he’s determined to break the cycle of falling for hot chaos demons. Of course, Jaclyn is a SPECIAL hot chaos demon made of marshmallows and love, so his plans crumble and he falls for her hook, line and sinker.
There’s a yummy fake relationship subplot, and this book also features one of my favourite kind of scenes – MC1 standing up for MC2 against mean family members in a public place. I know that’s weirdly specific, but it hits all my loyalty & protectiveness buttons. I also loved the little tie-ins with the Wright brothers! Basically, you should read this, and then read the rest of the series, which is exactly what I’m rushing off to do.
BTW – on Goodreads I categorised this as both enemies to lovers and f2l because at the beginning, they definitely have enemy vibes, but they become snarky friends very easily, so I guess it’s really frenemies to lovers (which is one of my favourite tropes) but I don’t have a shelf for that and it’s too late to reorganise my books now!!! Anyway, here are my favourite quotes:
“Dick-on-Demand. NetDicks. Dickazon Prime.”
“Don’t be making sense in my face, Jaclyn!”
“What’s so confusing about me wanting something different for my life?”
“Limiting your colours. That’s the part I don’t get. That kaleidoscope is what makes you Jaclyn. It’s what I was supposed to be keeping my ass away from.” SWOON
Hilarious One of the best romcoms I’ve read in a while! Top notch with a sexy lead veteran/veterinarian! And a cute cat that rides for her owner!
Jaclyn and Kaden first meet on one of her worst days and the meet cute includes her giving him a black eye and a knee to his special place!
This is the first novella in the Love Sisters trilogy, a spinoff from the Wright Brothers, and what a start! Full of snark and banter that creates so much sexual tension the pages practically catch fire!
My favorite part, aside from the cat’s name, Miss Thing, was that Kaden knew he was a goner for Jaclyn and was willing to not only accept who she is but build her up and encourage her *sigh*
I can’t wait for more of these amazing women!
All the love for Jac, Kadan, and Miss Thing. A wonderful story with a lot of heart and laugh out loud moments. I wasn’t even made about the fast time line for instalove, unusual for me.
Jones does a fantastic job of making sure Jac is well-rounded and Kadan’s philanthropy feels natural. They work as a couple as opposites attract.
Writing style and atmosphere was great. A lot of fun and joy. Appreciated how different the characters were from one another. High marks. All around. I rarely give 5 stars. This book earned it.
I absolutely loved this story. It’s not a voice or vernacular that I have read before and it hit its mark. I found it hysterical and hot. I could picture what was happening because Christina does a great job describing/ setting the scenes which really sold the story for me. The bickering had me in stitches and I really liked that it was just that, bickering. Jaclyn and Kadan threw little jabs at each other but they were never really being mean spirited. It kept the story light and enjoyable. Then when Kadan would get serious or do something sweet or stick up for his girl… full on swoon! I also really liked that Jaclyn was this funny intelligent confident woman but also carried her own insecurities. For me the story did a nice job of touching on a couple different topics while my focus remained on the budding love and undeniable chemistry between Jaclyn and Kadan.
Jaclyn is trying her best at life but life keeps throwing her wrenches. Once of those wrenches puts her in the path of Kadan and despite all their protests neither one of them wants to or can stay away from the other.
This book was so much freaking fun. I was laughing my butt off, my heart swooned when they connected, I was angry when they were. It was a super fun and funny read until I hit 93% of the book. Then I was bummed. I know it is a novella but I am a huge, huge, huge proponent of the ending makes the book and this one didn’t work for me. Their conflict came at 92% and then there was a conversation and then they said I love you and it was done. Sorry spoilers but that was it and I am not a fan. That kind of ruined it for me.
Not only was this novella a whole truck load of fun, but it actually had plot, character development and steam for days. What more could you ask for, I’m so glad I was turned on to another author I can binge.
I generally don’t like novellas. I usually feel like I’ve been deprived of important elements. Sooo not the case with this one. Omg these characters. This writing. The banter. Flawless.
I cracked up from beginning to end. This is a couple that shows that being a drama queen is not always so toxic, it can be understandable and relatable.
I loved everything about this book from page one. I could not stop laughing out loud!! Definitely a must-buy.
