Finishing our first year at Witchling Academy brings a wave of new experiences. Now with Semester Three approaching it’s time for me to decide what path I want to walk as I enter young adulthood. I, Brianne Marie Harlow, am now dating the Notorious Four. It’s still quite a shock in my mind, but to be surrounded by my supportive family and friends, it’s become something life changing for me and … life changing for me and my four amazing boyfriends – Jax, Connor, Finnick, and Kaito.
With summer break, brings moments of adventure and exploration, as I begin to figure out what I want in this group relationship and deal with my own insecurities. Adding my new familiar to the mix and having two amazing best friends to help me figure out the goods and bads about dating, summer goes by like a breeze.
Semester Three is where things start getting messy.
When the professors warned us about the change in dynamic with year one to year two, we never would have thought it would escalate to magic battles, car chases, and end us in the middle of a magic crime case.
Adding the continuous bullying, old memories, girl jealousy, and issues developing within my own team, we’re going to have to stick tightly together or we’ll be pulled apart forever.
Thankfully, I won’t let that happen. If I’d have to be the middle ground to keep my Notorious Four from tearing apart, I’d do it right here and now.
All in the name of protecting the people I love.
Now let’s all pray this goes as well as it does in my head.

Bri is really coming into her own now!! We pick up during the summer break after semester 2 with them all relaxing, recovering, and spending time together before school starts again. When it does oh buddy does the drama start as Elijiah and Elisha just cannot stop. Add in some bad guys and an epic final exam to get one explosive story that you won’t be able to put down. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
This is such an amazing series and I am completely addicted to it. She is still innocent but learning so much more and I love that the guys are all still there for her and her them. There are some problems and my heart hurt and went out to them but I am seriously loving them. Really can not wait to read to next one to see how they are going to get through some things.
This third book is by far the best one yet!
Bri and the guys go through so much in this book. Seems tragedy is a clingy little thing. There breaks and relaxing states don’t last very long before tragedy strikes and more problems arise.
I loved this book the most! There was more action and more LOL moments in this book than the other two. The ‘what just happened’ moments make you want to start the next book right away. There were some incidents that sort of got swept under the rug, but I am hoping they will be brought up in the next book. This book made me even more excited for the rest of the series!
I would say this is the most emotional book in the series so far. Bri is finally learning about life, becoming much less naïve, but, as other reviews have said, this is a painfully slow burn. So if you are the type of RH reader who likes it hot and heavy from the beginning, this series is definitely not for you!
And while I don’t necessarily like slow burns, I put up with it because I love this author so much. I love the Academy setting and getting to know all her men.
I loved Semester Three! Bri is growing physically and in mental maturity. I’m loving her confidence levels and the growth of her relationships as well. I bawled like a new born baby during some very heart tugging moments and the level of patience the guys always seem to have for Bri’s inexperience is sweet and brings a level of anticipation I didn’t expect to have. I really can’t wait to read Semester Four, especially after all that happened at the end of this book! The display of so many powers, the battle, the action and then that cliffhanger, oh man I’m excited!
Very Stilted Writing But A Good Story!
I’ve really enjoyed this series so far & this Author’s writing in general. In the first 2/3 of this book, however, it’s flow was very stilted, almost disjointed as though it was it was being translated from another language & not quite getting it right!! I don’t know what happened as I haven’t had this issue with any other of the Author’s books?! It did smooth out eventually, thankfully, but it definitely affected my enjoyment of the book.
The majority of the story focused on Brianne & her guys getting emotionally closer & with Jax especially, physically. This is a snail’s pace slow burn RH as Brianne is portrayed as extremely naive for her age of seventeen. I’m totally on board with going at everyone’s individual pace, especially as she has zero experience. I do get frustrated by her complete lack of knowledge on any topic that isn’t academic or about Sailor Moon though. Even her own physical responses are a mystery to her – Thank goodness for Miya & Mia!!
My heart broke for Fennick throughout this book I hope they can all step up & help him! I loved the pace once they returned to school & look forward to the next book!

This series just gets better and better. This one added a little romance and depth to the characters. The last third of the book was action packed and it ended on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next one!
I absolutely adore Bri. Her innocence and awareness of said innocence is so refreshing. Because of both her innocence and her honesty she befriends the Notorious Four after an unusual first meeting. She chooses to see beyond the “cover” and it opens her world up. Well. Shes still insanely innocent but shes also learning to have more connection. She has more than one friend now and shes navigating her way through negative emotions she has to deal with because of her newfound friendship causing jealousy and drama.
I love the world of Witchling Academy and the many various characters that we meet. You learn bits about each of them as the story grows so I have yet to pick a favorite because they all appeal to me in different aspects. I cant wait to see how the characters and plot grow in the second book!
