Oliver has a sexy secret, but how can he share it with someone when he’s anticipating disaster?Oliver likes writing, reading, and the feel of satin and lace against his body. He also talks way too much when he’s nervous, knows more trivia facts than any man should, and is about as good at dating as he is at skiing—which is to say, completely and totally inept. David’s never been with a man … been with a man before, despite recognizing that some men make his pulse race and his body heat. But no one has ever made him as hot as his newest ski student—adorable, athletically-challenged Oliver.
David’s never been into casual hookups, though, and Oliver’s only in Wyoming for a week – barely long enough to teach the man to ski, let alone convince a risk-averse guy like Oliver to give their relationship a shot.
Changing their entire lives based on one amazing week might be a recipe for disaster, but the greatest disaster of all might be playing it safe.

This is my review of the audiobook:
This was the first book in a new series from an author who always provides great stories. Oliver and David were terrific characters who had me rooting for them from the moment David helped Oliver open his hotel room door. The anxious and introverted Oliver needed someone with the extreme patience David exhibited, and I enjoyed watching Oliver grow more confident, even in the short amount of time the book encompassed. I hope to see more of this very sweet and adorable couple as the series continues, and I really look forward to seeing more of the characters of David’s town of Anticipation find their own perfect match.
The narration was terrific, as I knew it would be from a performer I listen to often.

A sweet read with an endearing introvert and someone who sees the real him!
I loved Anticipation! This whole book is full of sweetness, humor, & heart. It has a wonderful collection of characters, meddling family and a unique, sweet and secretly sexy introvert who longs for someone to see him. I loved Oliver. He’s the perfect mix of smart, quirky and strong and I loved his meet-cute with David and I could feel their connection straight away.
I loved the small town of Anticipation and loved many of the secondary characters and look forward to their stories. I felt this was an easy and enjoyable bit of escapism and loved the growth these two characters made and how Oliver came to terms with his new self, life, and future! Very sweet and enjoyable!! I look forward to visiting Anticipation again!!!!

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are fairly well developed and the storyline flows smoothly. This is definitely an Insta-attraction/Insta-love romance, because the main story happens in less than a week.
Okay, our “lead” MC, Oliver, is an introverted nerd with no social skills who literally HATES the cold…but, he’s a bit of a kinky little devil, too. He lives in a cottage on his Nana’s property and works from home, only going out when needed and doing his Nana’s bidding. However, when it comes to this year’s family reunion, he tries everything to get Nana to let him stay home. They’re going to a SKI RESORT!
David seems to try to enjoy life and what he does with it. IMHO, David is just a little too Mr. Perfect for me, but to each their own. David now owns his own touring business, but before that, he worked as an instructor at the ski lodge. So, when things go astray, David is there to help Oliver out.
The MCs get to know each other quickly, and have some hot sexy times. Passions build, confidence and insecurities wage war, and then it’s time for the reunion to end.
Of course, we can’t be left out in the cold like that. Some time passes, a few too many coincidences align, and a compromise is reached at one side of the country…and then it’s presented after a long flight and a terrifying drive to the other side of the country. We definitely get a HFN ending, but in the author’s notes, it says there will be more from Anticipation. So, I’m looking forward to seeing how things work out for Oliver and his David.
My one complaint: what happened to the sampler box of baked goodies from Noah?
Happy reading!

Wow just wow. Silvia has done it again! I loved getting to know David and Oliver. Some members of Oliver’s family made me want to smack them for their rudeness and unkindness. However the chemistry, and all the emotional feels of this book were amazing.
Oliver’s treated badly by everyone in his family with the exception of his grandma and his cousin. So when his grandma tells him he’s coming to the family reunion, he knows he has to attend, if only for her. Although he normally hates these type of things, this time he meets a hot guy who offers to teach him how to ski, so grandma just may have had the perfect idea when she made him come to reunion.
Except there’s a little problem – David’s never admitted to anyone he’s bi, and he’s really, really attracted to Oliver with his geeky vibe and his um lingerie wearing habits. Whew!
I thought this cute MM story was a sweet, lightly steamy bit of insta-love goodness. I will definitely be reading more from this author now.
Anticipating Disaster is the perfect title for this book!
Oliver: He has spent his life being different from the members of his family. With so many of them (not all grandma and a few cousins rock!!) constantly telling him he is “less” than them it would be hard for anyone to have faith in themselves. He spends so much of his time in his home because the thought of opening himself up to ridicule and failure is nothing short of “anticipating disaster”!
David: He loves the life he has the business that he enjoys and is proud of. After a chance meeting with Oliver he is completely charmed and he realizes maybe his life has been missing something or more specifically someone to share it with.
David sees all the amazing things about Oliver and he just needs to help Oliver see them too. This book is about so much more than a romance. It is about having someone that can truly allow you to be yourself and see how great you are! Will Oliver and David overcome the ultimate difficulty which seems like the distance in their lives but really believe in themselves.
5 stars for this adorable story! I just loved David and Oliver. They were perfect for each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to more stories in Anticipation!
