Super flirty & hot and the Lies, angst, and drama bring this story all together perfectly.
Get ready to take a ride on the wild side with these two men that you will leave you fully satisfied.
Must Read!
5 popped!
6 Hearts
Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy are one of my favorite writing duos! Their characters are some of my all-time favorites and their m/m characters are at the top of the list! I don’t know what it is about these women, but the men they write just get me in all the feels. Top Secret might be my favorite of theirs! I absolutely love these men! There was just something about them that made me fall in love with them instantly. So much so that I’m giving it 6 Hearts! It’s an enemies to lovers romance with humor, sexiness, angst, fun, and foreplay. Luke and Keaton are complete opposites and what starts out as a fun, sexy exchange turns into so much more. More fighting, more arguing, more foreplay. The line between hate and love is very fine and Luke and Keaton walk it like pros. They can’t fight their physical attraction, but Luke tries to fight the emotional. He doesn’t want to like Keaton. He wants to continue to think of him as a rich, dumb jock, but he’s nothing like that. He’s funny and geeky and smart. Keaton isn’t used to being with people who didn’t have an easy life filled with love and money. He’s also never been with a man. There’s just something so sexy and hot about Luke that Keaton can’t stay away. They jump into the physical and eventually the tenderness and emotions follow. But Luke has things in his life he doesn’t want to share. Especially with Keaton. What happens when their secret comes out? Will they be able to make it back to each other? I loved this book. SO. MUCH! It’s one of those that I wanted to immediately start over as soon as I read the last word. I loved that it was sexy and hot, but didn’t rush to the good stuff. They had to fight for their happiness and learn and grow separately and together. Keaton is sexy, funny, sweet, loving and smart! I loved all his animal stories! Luke is a little broken, sexy as sin (the stripping, dear God, the stripping), cynical and so smart! I loved that they both knew what they wanted out of life and they were going to fight to achieve their goals. The texts between LobsterShorts and SinnerThree were perfection! I love Sarina and Elle and I have faith that they are going to give us more of Luke and Keaton. I need to know what happens next! I have to see more of them! Please!
Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy have another hit with Top Secret!
The writing is flawless, the storyline is engaging and the characters are flawed yet perfect! Love is love and finding that perfect person that you want to be with and share your secrets with is what life is about. Is it always easy? No! Is it worth it? Yes!
Luke and Keaton each have their own demons and challenges that have held them back but they are also intelligent and determined to make their own way despite the obstacles thrown at them.
I love the strength and passion of these two men and how surprised they are to find support from many of their friends and family, yet others they needed to cut lose! Keaton has had his life turned a bit upside down as he has had to come to terms that he is attracted to men, but really only one man in particular and Luke has to learn how to trust and to let love in. Something he never had in his life before he got to know Keaton.
Two of my favourite authors together writing this amazing book <3<3
Once I begun this book I was totally hooked and in love with this MM read. This is definitely one of my favourite MM books to date.
Keaton is a hot AF wealthy, popular, college Jock. He tries so hard to please everyone around him, especially his father and his girlfriend. When his girlfriend of 6 years asks you to take part in a threesome with another guy for her birthday he does what he can to make it happen. He has never been confused about his sexuality until he embarks on this endeavour.
Luke is the complete opposite of Keaton. He is attending Darby college on a scholarship. He is struggling to manage work and school. He decides to compete with Keaton for the position of Alpha Delt President. If he wins he get s a free room. Unlike Keaton he is open in his sexuality in liking both men and women.
Luke and Keaton are matched through a dating app Kinky for their threesome. I was totally amused watching these two interacting with each other through the app but having no clue they together in the frat house.
when I was reading this I will be honest I was not bothered with the gf. They were more friends with benefits then anything else. I know it could be seen as cheating with the banter and conversations between Keaton and Luke but as this was instigated by her it was a can of worms she opened.
Elle and Sabrina delivered a brilliant book filled with angst, drama and lots of red hot chemistry.
I can't wait to see what this brilliant duo brings us next
I love everything about this book! Finally a new book from this writer duo. I almost gave up hope 😉 but here it is and Keaton and Luke is EVERYTHING! This book made me laugh and cry and the chemistry is off the charts. If I could give this book 10 stars I definitely would. A romance about self discovery on so many levels, about discovering yourself and others in ways you never thought possible. Strong feelings, combustible attraction, complicated personalities and lives. It’s all here. I could not put this book down. Highly recommended.
“What was I ever thinking? I need this man. And even if being half a couple doesn’t come easily to me, I have to try. Nobody has ever gotten under my skin the way he does. Nobody has ever needed me the way he does.
. . .
Top Secret by Sarina Bowen has been on my radar for a while now, and I couldn’t wait to get my grabby hands on it. I will say this right here and now, THIS BOOK DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
Top Secret is an enemies to lovers M/M novel that had such electrifying chemistry my panties were in more than a twist. Keaton and Luke were made for one another, plain and simple.
Angst lovers can rejoice because this book made me teary eyed. There was no dull moment in this epic love story. Keaton & Luke’s journey is not an easy one, they have major battles to conquer. But they will do it. . . together.
TOP SECRET, another amazing book by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. Keaton Hayworth’s girlfriend, Annika Schiffer, wants a threesome for her birthday. Being a good boyfriend for the last six years he plans to make it happen. This contemporary romance is suitable for new adult readers.
Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy did a noteworthy job with their character development. Keaton is a good guy. He comes from a wealthy family. His father likes to control his life. He’s a good boyfriend. He and Annika have been best friends and inseparable since high school. I like Luke Bailey. Unlike most of the kids who attend Darby College, he is a townie, and he does not come from money. He is hard working. He has a horrible family. The plot was clever. I like the use of the hook-up app and messaging. The story had amazing twists and unexpected outcomes.
TOP SECRET is a fantastic story of self-discovery. It is about evaluating the reasons you do the things you do and being true to yourself. It also, demonstrates misjudging people and being open-minded. I suggest reading this book when you have a good chunk of time carved out because it is hard to put down. Fans of Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy will not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
3 stars. This book was pretty good, but not my favorite joint effort by these authors. Top Secret is their second MM couple undertaking and is Keaton and Luke’s story. Keaton has been dating his girlfriend, Annika, for several years. She expresses interest in a threesome for a birthday present from Keaton, who is curious as well, even though he has never been interested in men before. So he goes on a kink hookup app and finds bisexual Luke. He begins communicating with Luke to see if he would be a good match for them and he finds himself interested and turned on by him. But he doesn’t know that Luke is actually a guy from his fraternity that he doesn’t get along with. Still, the two of them can’t fight their attraction, especially once they find out who each other are and when Keaton finds himself unexpectedly single. They have a lot to deal with, fighting their relationship at times, and both of them have family struggles, but they manage to begin a relationship and come through it all together in the end.
I had read an enjoyed Him and Us by these authors. I really enjoyed that series and felt the two MM characters in those books were true soulmates. While I don’t read a ton of MM books, that series is my favorite I have read in the genre. So I had high hopes this book would be more of the same and I must admit I was slightly disappointed.
I liked Keaton and Luke in general. Keaton was very sweet and pretty much a puppy dog. Luke was more edgy and tough. I didn’t love the way he treated Keaton for much of the book, but I liked him by the end. I did like the overall story of the book, but I found Top Secret to be a little too slow moving. I don’t love enemies to lovers stories and this book was that way for too long. I found there to be too much pushing away by Luke. The most difficult thing for me, as a reader, is that I felt little real chemistry or love between the couple. I didn’t even get a friendship vibe between them until the end. There is a long separation and no real relationship until the end. Still, I did like the story line. It was interesting and different. The college and fraternity setting was fun. And I ended up liking Keaton and Luke together.
Overall, I wanted to love this book, but it never quite got there to me. It’s quite possible it is a case of it’s my personal taste and not the book. Still, I did enjoy it in general. I am still a big fan of these authors and will read anything the write in the future.
Keaton AKA LobsterShorts is chatting online with a guy whom he believes can share a night of fun. He wants to give his girlfriend a great birthday and it intrigues him once they get to talking. Maybe there is more to this…….
Luke AKA SinnerThree loves chatting with his new buddy. He looks forward to it, in fact. When he finds out it is the neighbor who basically hates him he is not sure how to take it.
These characters have a lot of charm and just want to have some fun. I truly love the banter and heat that builds. Excited to see if it will become a series, as these guys were just a great read.

Maybe it’s just been a while since I indulged myself in the magic of this author duo, but Top Secret is arguably the hottest book I have read by either of these authors. Like, fan your face, hide your blush, and bite your bottom lip hot. The sexual chemistry is 100% on point and it sizzled and burned over the course of this entire book. If you’re looking for something dead sexy? Look no further.
That said, I didn’t always feel the emotional connection as much as I wanted to. I actually sometimes felt like I had trouble connecting to either of the main characters. I can’t put my finger on what the issue is – other than the fact that the connection between them was so overtly physical and the emotional piece of it took so long to build. I felt it, but that connection didn’t come until very late in the book and so while I definitely enjoyed the story, I didn’t feel like I was part of it. Even as my heart rooted for Keaton & Luke’s happily-ever-after, it didn’t ache and burn and flutter for them the way I wanted it to.
I mean, don’t get me wrong. I still managed to find myself glued to my kindle, gobbling up every word as fast as I could. There’s a lot to love here, including the depth and layers that the authors gave this story. While I didn’t really get bromance vibes from the fraternity brothers, there were a couple of standout secondary characters I enjoyed and the group provided more than one laugh-out-loud moment. I also adored Keaton’s family and the easy way they loved their child (even as their relationships were decidedly complicated).
In all, this was a solidly satisfying story and it was definitely a treat to get a new release from this much loved author duo. Written with the sharp wit that I’ve come to expect these authors, Top Secret delivers on chemistry, heat, and a perfect happy ending. Definitely recommend!
I was so excited to hear of this secret M/M release from Sarina and Elle! This is a story of opposites, surprises, and an unexpected connection. These two do not even like each other…in fact they are rivals.
Keaton is the typical rich guy that appears to have everything money can buy. But that does not mean he does not have issues. He has a controlling father who wants to mold him in his image, but Keaton has his own dreams. He’s smart, funny, charismatic and a bit nerdy. His life has been status quo for a long time, but all of a sudden big changes are happening. And now he is trying to figure out what he needs to do to be happy and how to go navigate that against what is expected of him.
When Keaton’s long time girlfriend asks for an unconventional birthday gift, he tries to get it for her. There’s an app for everything and being anonymous makes it even easier…easier to get caught up in something he never expected like enjoying messaging with another man.
Luke is kind of a broken boy. His family life is a mess. He’s a scholarship kid hustling to make ends meet to keep afloat. He’s tired, stubborn, prideful, and used to being used. He is a loner, has major trust issues, and a jaded outlook on life.
Things do not always end up like they are planned and secrets are hard to keep. There is a lot of external stuff going on in their lives while they are also learning things about themselves and each other.
It was a funny, sweet, and sexy opposites-attract, coming-of-age story. I could not help comparing them to my favorites, Wes and Jamie (Him and Us), so it is hard to live up to those expectations. I liked how the authors made the story line work. I just wish there was a bit more emotional and romantic time with them together on page to show the relationship growth and feelings. I also would have loved to have more at the end. I appreciated that they were both struggling with things and undergoing changes, but a lot of that felt separate and not them working on it together. I enjoyed their witty written banter in the beginning, but would have liked to see more of that later as well. I thought the plot and story line were fun and unique, but just felt there was maybe something a bit off with the pacing. But when it was all said and done, I did really like Keaton and Luke and I felt that they were well developed and lovable characters, and I enjoyed it overall.
I will continue to read these two authors and get excited when they co-write books because I know they will always bring characters that touch me in some way.
I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
