My name is Aella, and Fate wants me dead.According to entertainment news, I’m the Angel of the Las Vegas Strip, the most sold-out singer at the Pandemonium Casino. According to the higher races—who I didn’t even know existed up till now—I’m part of the bloodline, which means I’m part-human, part-something else.It also means I’m a threat to Fate’s precious balance. To protect me from Fate’s wrath, … balance.
To protect me from Fate’s wrath, three demigods have taken it upon themselves to act as my guardians—and lovers. But with the hounds of Fate nipping at my heels, can the Winds tear themselves away from their sibling rivalry over my affections long enough to keep me safe?
And why do I have to choose?
Warning: This book is a standalone novel set during Ophelia Bell’s epically sexy “Fate’s Fools” series. The events occur parallel to the events of Fate’s Fools Books 1 through 4, concluding prior to Book 5. It is a fast-burn HOT and steamy RH odyssey, not meant for the faint of heart (or libido)… #whychoose!

Can she weather the storm
What an awesome book! I love how we really get to know this group with each turn of the page and how we get to see Deva and her men plus some of our other favorites from that series. (You really should read it if you haven’t already, this book will have so much more depth). I love how these three are able to overcome obstacles for the woman they love and find their HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book from this author.
Normally I get drawn into this authors world and if not right away pretty quickly connect with the characters. For me this one seemed to be more informational than character driven. Aella just discovered she’s not a human and is getting the inside on all of the other species that are hiding in plain sight.
As for the 3 winds Boreas, Notos and Eurus they basically only blow in to be intimate with Aella and as such we don’t really get to know them. Because of their curse they don’t have physical bodies and have to make deals to inhabit a body for a short period of time. They also have a very combative relationship and have been fighting for centuries with each other.
I did enjoy her 6 body guards those guys cracked me up, intrigued me and I hoped we would get more about them in the future.
It was also great to have interactions from characters from some of the previous stories. If you just looked at only Aella and the 3 winds part in this book it would actually be pretty small. There is of course insta-love and almost immediate sex but for me no really connection to them or at least the guys.
For me it was an ok story not of the caliber that initially drew me to this author.

Breaking Fate’s curse
—>>> Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars – Three of the Four Wind brothers are drawn to the voice of one very popular singer, Aella, who as it turns out, is no ordinary human. One by one, she encounters them, implored by each to mate in order to break them free of a longstanding curse, one which was placed upon them by Fate, their mother. This standalone includes an interesting and eclectic mix of age-old dragon Guardians and a bevy of other characters who aid Aella in her trials with the emotional storms these brothers bring during her concert tour, because she simply cannot choose just one of them.
This book a sexy ride. With a girl whose not all human. She’s a principle on the balance of Fate. Three demi gods decide they’ll protect her but will their rilevry help her or hurt her? Great read.

The four winds were the sons of Fate. Eons ago, after having fathered a race called the turul, Fate cursed them to live without permanent physical forms trying to maintain control over their lives. The turul race was cursed as well, just not as severely. Once the turul curse was broken, then the four winds curse would be broken. But Fate wanted the bloodline, humans who had the blood of the higher races, wiped out rather than helping them find mates. You see, without a mate, they become an easy target for her hounds.
Of course I knew of Ophelia Bell and her stories about Dragons. I’ve read many of them. But this? No, never. Nor had I ever heard of a story concerning Fate and her children. This was so wildly fantastic it kept me turning pages to find out who everyone was and how they fit into the scheme of things. Knowing this was a reverse harem I was prepared for the sexual chemistry to be a slow burn and slowly build to the point of scorching fire and Ms. Bell has perfected that while keeping the plot running through at the same pace which only intensified my heart rate. I’m thrilled with this book and can’t wait for the next one.
A part of the (A Fate’s Fools Novel): Breath of Air Collection series this is Baird/Boreas, Ezra/Eurus and Syd/Notos three demigods bothers who control the Winds and the woman they come to love Aella. This story kept me turning pages, I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Aella and the 3 brothers story is fantastic. I love how it fits right in and fills in some blanks in the Fate’s Fools series. I hope other secondary characters stories are in the works.
What do you get when 3 of the 4 Demi-God Winds pine for the same amazing, mortal woman? It becomes one hell of a story!
Aella is bloodline and that means trouble when Fate rather not deal with the bloodline!
This book from start to finish is a whirlwind of some extra potent sexy times and one hell of a read! Once again Ophelia Bell proves that she can the best for us, no matter what higher race it is!!!
