“Ms. Jennifer Faye always delivers the most poignant romantic stories. Romance is in the air and the ending is truly heartwarming for everyone. Claiming the Drakos Heir is Ms. Faye’s best book, yet!”

“Jennifer Faye writes wonderful books, and this story was phenomenal. Carrying the Greek Tycoon’s Baby was a fast paced, exciting page turner, and I didn’t want it to end. I highly recommend this book. If you haven’t read books by Jennifer Faye, you definitely should!”

Loved this book! If you are looking for a holiday story that is more about the spirit of the season, rather than gifts and such, Her Christmas Pregnancy Surprise is for you. OMG, it was amazing!!! It had the requisite person you REALLY don’t like (and I didn’t; just saying), an adorable puppy (I can just picture Daisy!), and two wonderfully (tiny flawed) characters, Pepper Kane and Simon Ross.
Pepper and Simon have issues to work through, of course, but they are problems that every day folks would experience. Very easy to identify with either Pepper or Simon – well, minus the billionaire part (for Simon). I read it straight thru in one night as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. I don’t want to give any spoilers but you will laugh, you will cheer them on, and you will sniffle – guaranteed.
Truly loved this book and highly recommend.
I’m so sorry that I’m late with the review. I’ve been out of work with my back (worker’s comp) and physical therapy is not for the weak. What can I say about Ms. Faye? I love her writing and characters. So much in fact that I have now subscribed to get this line in the mail every month. Thank you, Ms. Faye! In fact, I’ve already read this month’s books. But, I really need to write this review.
As most know, I’ve read the last 3 or 4 books by Ms. Faye and I will have to say this is my favorite so far. Most reviewers will say that about every book that they read but this time I mean it. There was something that really dug into my heart with Pepper and Simon and I’m still thinking about them. They were both wounded in some way but not where they couldn’t overcome it in the end. Pepper with the loss of her grandmother/bakery/home and Simon with his brother and the guilt that followed him. I just really understood them in a way that I haven’t gotten with some of the other books that I’ve read lately.
It was almost like I was reading a very intimate character study with a romance that was slow-burning on the side. These two had a lot to overcome within themselves and then each other. Simon and Pepper were very honest with each other from the beginning when it came to relationships. And they had their own reasons for it and I respect that in a romance and real life. Both of them were highly successful in their careers and it was heartwarming to learn why they had the careers and what led up to it. Simon’s was a bit heartbreaking though. And his mom in the end. *sniff*
There is a dog in the story, Daisy and normally I love dogs in a book but for some reason, it didn’t work for me. That said, when Pepper and Simon found out about the shelter worker and how just awful she was and how you wished Karma was real. Trust me, it’s real in this book. Unfortunately, people like her exist and it sucks.
The overall romance in the book is a slow burn. These two need to get to know each other before the romance starts. Sure, they put the cart before the horse but watching them grow within themselves and then as a couple is a treat. Ms. Faye takes her time with them and I really appreciate that in a romance. Simon and Pepper have a lot to deal with before they can be together. Being pregnant is just the beginning of that journey.
Peeps, I keep saying it but you really need to read Ms. Faye and the other Harlequin Romance authors. Ms. Faye delivers a heartwarming, swoon-worthy, Christmas themed romance that would make a great Hallmark movie. And I don’t watch Hallmark movies.
I thought this book would be a fun, lighthearted read, which it is in but it also broke my heart just a little. I certainly knew the storyline would be detailed and the reader would gain insight into the characters lives but I was surprised by how fragile Pepper Kane and Simon Ross are.
Pepper is thriving in her bakery business, Simon is a successful CEO. and yet they have both had to overcome some difficult situations and losses in their pasts to get where they are now.
If I had to have someone in my corner to help me get through trying times, it would be someone like Simon and not because he’s super wealthy but because he has a good heart and genuinely cares for his friends. Pepper is instantly likeable, she’s a hard worker plus she volunteers at an animal shelter where we meet the adorable, Daisy. Simon’s neat, orderly life is about to be drastically changed when he opens his home to Pepper but when Daisy joins them the tidy penthouse things are a bit more comical.
Overall, I found this heartwarming story a fast and end entertaining read. I normally find novels about billionaires a little unbelievable but that wasn’t the case in this book.
My thanks to Prism Book Tours and the author for a complimentary copy. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
Her Christmas Pregnancy Surprise By Jennifer Faye is another sweet holiday book from the one and only Ms. Faye.
Will Pepper and Simon find a happily-ever-after together?
Pepper Kane
Pepper Kane is the main female character of this book, and she is an eccentric, but that works for her. She owns a bakery called The Polka Dotted Bakery, and it’s this incredible place ever in a book. Pepper has been dealt with a lot of bad deals in her life. Is this the latest one, losing her bakery in a fire going to be the last one? Will that be what stops her from being this fantastic and upbeat person?
What I like about Pepper is that yes, she is this different type of person, but after everything that has happened to her, she just keeps on plugging away. I also like that she speaks her mind and sees the good in people. Plus, she likes dogs, and she bakes.
Simon Ross
Simon Ross is the main male character of this book, and he is different from Pepper. Then again, as most people have said, he is more into his work than creating personal connections to anyone. Just like with Pepper, Simon’s life has been one bad thing after another. He makes toys for a living and has decided to make things for animals now.
What I like about Simon is that even though he has a tough time letting people in, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t care about anyone either. He had a rough childhood, even worse than Pepper did. I loved how he was nervous about things going on in her life, and he still told her so that she could see why having a baby isn’t going to heal anything.
Five Stars
Her Christmas Pregnancy Surprise by Jennifer Faye is another laugh-out-loud book. I loved this book; it feels like, with every story, her books get better. Simon and Pepper are the definitive definitions of opposite’s do attract. There are a lot of things to love about this book, but you should read it for yourself. This book deserves the five stars I’m giving it and recommending it to everyone that loves a romance.

Jennifer Faye wrote a fun, romantic, heartfelt, Christmas story with wonderful characters that will touch your heart and a cute beagle named Daisy. I liked how these two characters, Pepper and Simon met. They both had sad pasts that brightened once they were together to bring out the best in each other. This book touched my heart with everything Simon and Pepper had been through. Pepper expecting a baby was just the icing on the cake and she should know because she owns The Polka Dotted Bakery. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Pepper and Simon are a great couple and definitely belonged together. I love the cover of this book. I always like the name Daisy for a dog that is the name of my Mom’s dog. I love the fact that they both have struggles and that they eventually work them out. This is sweet story that should difinitly should be read. I like the fact that they are both stubborn and bring out the best and even the worst in each other. I thanks it’s great that it all started in her bakery and cherry turnovers. the at fact the work it out and get married and will be a family, including Daisy is wonderful. I love tht way Jennifer Faye tells a story especially when you can put yourself in the characters shoes.
A truly heartwarming holiday story of two different yet compatible people who come together over coffee and turnovers. Pepper Kane’s bakery is her life’s dream, while businessman Simon Ross is ready to open new, trendy pet stores. When he needs baked goods for an event, Pepper is the easy answer and personal sparks fly! It’s a very rich story, particularly with Pepper’s setbacks and her will to reopen the bakery, The story includes a great storyline about rescue dogs and a cute puppy to boot.
Her Christmas Pregnancy Surprise
This is such a cute story. Simon and Pepper get together and then don’t see each for a couple of months. Exciting things happen after meeting again.
I loved the business Simon had, He has a chain of pet stores but doesn’t own a pet. But his life is about to change. Pepper bakery catches on fire, then she comes to live with him. Things are definitely changing for Simon.
I loved the dog in the story named Daisy. Pepper falls in love with Daisy, I enjoy books with pets in it.
I love the authors books. I think this one of my favorite. It was such a enjoyable story with the dog.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from Prism book tours. This book review is my own opinion.
My Thoughts on Her Christmas Pregnancy Surprise
Love the abandoned puppy in the story. The author has a distinctive flair to her writing that makes it a pleasure to read.
This is not the genre I normally read and I do have to say that I skipped over parts of the story that I truly believe could have been left out without hurting the story.
I love how the characters learned things about themselves they didn’t know or had shoved aside. Priorities change and love finds a resting place. But really Daisy is probably my favorite. I’m a sucker for a cute puppy!

No heavy content, no great mysteries or suspense. This is strictly a light-hearted romance that you will enjoy reading curled up in a blanket with a cup of hot tea on a snowy day. Or a rainy day works too if you’re not in the snow areas.
In my reviews, I like to give books a rating for teen girls because I have a few of them. I would not let my teen daughter read this book but that is personal preference.

Her Christmas Pregnancy Surprise is yet another fun and entertaining read by Jennifer Faye. It such a sweet and clean romance. I loved getting to know Pepper and Simon. It was delightful reading the scenes with them together. I had no problem having the whole book read in one sitting. Such a great story!
I am giving Her Christmas Pregnancy Surprise five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy a light romance. It is definitely worth a read.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Pepper and Simon come from two different worlds, yet their connection is magnificent. I love Jennifer Faye’s stories, and this one is definitely a must read! These two characters help balance each other out, and they learn from one another. I love Daisy the dog, and how Simon learns to love her as much as Pepper does. I couldn’t put this book down, and am looking forward to reading the next book by Jennifer Faye.
This delightful book has it all: a workaholic, billionaire; a beautiful baker; a pregnancy; a puppy; and, Christmas. Love will bring Simon and Pepper together to form an unexpected family.
I read an advanced copy of this book
As with all Jennifer Faye’s books this one did not disappoint. I love books that grab your attention from the very first page. Pepper and Simon’s early lives have not been easy but they have worked and overcome the odds and have their lives on track. Then a fire throws them close together and they learn that life is what you make it. Both character’s are very loveable. My only complaint was it made me hungry for bakery treats! I could almost smell the bakery goods in Pepper’s display cases. Highly recommend you read this book for a good Christmas read.
I’ve been reading Jennifer Faye’s books since she debuted. I’ve enjoyed and loved every one, however, her newest “Her Christmas Pregnancy Surprise” has catapulted to the top of my favorite list.
Such a sweet romantic story, an unusual plot weaved joy and romance into my soul.
Jennifer Faye’s creativity, characterization, and writing ability is superb.
Pepper and Simon warmed my heart and truly made me believe in soulmates and true love. Ms. Daisy was such a perfect addition to their little growing family.
This book needs to be made into a Hallmark Movie, it’s that phenomenal!!!
This talented author once again excels in her talent as a storyteller. Grabbing your attention from the first page to the last the story is touching and at times heartbreaking.
This one takes us to NYC , where Pepper Kane, a young woman whose childhood was one of struggles and losses, owns a bakery. She meets Simon Ross when he comes in for a treat and a friendship begins. She is clueless of who he is. Though a billionaire, he too has had a childhood that has made him the man he is today. One of them is not willing to give her heart since those she has loved leave her, and the other one not believing he would be a good father. But a fateful night and a fire changes their lives.
This is a story about losses, hope, overcoming challenges, and giving love a chance.
Another beautiful story that will stay with you for a very long time.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
HER CHRISTMAS PREGNANCY SURPRISE by Jennifer Faye is going to make a great addition to your holiday to-be-read pile! When a bakery owner and a toy store owner strike up a friendship, neither know that it’s going to lead to monumental changes in their lives!
Pepper is a really complex character. She has issues coming at her from all directions, but she still manages to stay upbeat and caring with those around her. The fact that she volunteers at an animal shelter really endeared her to my heart.
Simon was delightful to delve into. He had such baggage in his heart from a hard upbringing and guilt on his mind for what could have been if he wasn’t so closed off, but Pepper has a way about her that lets her bring more out in him than anyone ever has.
I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a surprise pregnancy story filled with turmoil, yet joy. The characters were well developed and the connection between them warmed this reader’s heart.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
This is quite the Christmas story, with a little surprise thrown in to make it a bit of a surprise. I enjoyed Pepper’s character. She was determined to make a living opening a bakery, and she put everything into it, making it a success, then it was all gone in one night. Simon Ross wasn’t as arrogant as I figured he would be, and it was generous that he let Pepper stay with him, as a roommate only, using his kitchen to bake enough bake goods to make her Christmas orders. Ross was really a nice guy, someone who had a rough childhood, with an alcoholic and abusive dad. He and Pepper had a lot in common, as far as their past hurts. This is a nice sweet read, it only took a few hours to read. Why not check it out.
