Now a New York Times Best Seller“I devoured Finding Jake. The tension is almost unbearable in this thriller-cum-character study as layer after layer of a father’s soul are revealed as reflected in the character of his missing son. A good story. I did find the father annoying. He was insecure and always worried about displeasing his wife.
Disturbing..
Could not put this down!
Well enough written to keep the plot moving, and short enough chapters to make it hard to put down. Very sad subject of school shooting. I wasn’t prepared for the level of intensity I felt. I shouldn’t have tried a book with this subject matter.
This book is very timely because it deals with school shooters and troubled teenagers. It is told from the point of view of a stay-at-home father. I was eager to see how the book ended and determine where Jake was. This is the best book I have read in a long time.
Good story. Very in line with what’s happening in the world today.
Heart wrenching. Perspective on all characters. Thought provoking
Poorly written
Not terrible, but there are better books in this genre.
How quick we are to judge.
It was almost a cover of We Need
To
Too real to life. As a parent my heart aches right along with them while trying to find Jake. The not knowing keeps you undone.
Good read – holds your interest with some effective twists.
This is one of the most powerful books I’ve read recently. Not only does it bring insights into school shootings, but highlights the impact of media coverage of these tragic incidents. The protagonist is a stay-at-home-dad, whose doubts are exacerbated by the possibility that his son might be one of the shooters. Brutally honest and deeply moving, …
Excellent
Hard to put down. Not quite the ending I envisioned. Great book
