Bridget Wilson is a street savvy gal who knows how to take care of herself. That is, until her roommate tosses her out on the street for not paying the rent. With no other options, she allows a salvage seeking stranger to pick her up inside Lexington’s city limits and take her to his family’s ranch in Hidden Hills. Living in an old RV beside the barn, Bridget isn’t exactly country girl material. … material. But her granny always taught her to keep her eyes fixed on Jesus to find the right path to leading her home.
A former minor league pitcher for the Louisville Bats, Luke Myers traded his career to return home and help on the family farm after his dad died. With his mother in a local nursing home, Luke manages his father’s salvage yard business. While Luke’s father taught him that not all things neglected are worthless, he’s not sure how he can prove to Bridget how priceless she has become to him.
Given the options of returning to the city or staying in Hidden Hills, it will take a little intervention from some caring folks to help salvage these two hearts for a future together.

Bridget is alone and feels worthless…broken. Luke is from a small town and while in a bigger city, he comes across Bridget and offers to help. When she comes back to the small town, things start heating up and together they form a great team. His little sister is getting in the way but that does not deter them. Loved the characters and storyline. The bonding and banter was great. Well done.

I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Susan Lower has done a great job writing this book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. When Luke finds Bridget left on the city street and takes her to his small town, she learns how to bend and fit in and enjoy a simple life. Luke likes to fix things, and she is good at selling them. They make a great team. The plot also involves Luke’s sister who doesn’t thing Bridget should stay so tries to turn folks against her. A must read.
This is one of those books that you don’t want to put down. You can’t wait to see how things are going to work between Bridget and Luke.
I received an ARC, and this is my honest opinion.

I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind, and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading, I could not put it down until I read the last page.

Review of Salvaged Hearts by Susan Lower
I thoroughly enjoyed Salvaged Hearts. I loved how the relationship between Bridget and Luke developed despite Luke’s sister’s attempts at sabotaging their relationship. Bridget, a city girl, and Luke, a country boy, had challenges to overcome including some preconceived ideas on both their parts. I especially liked the way faith and prayer were woven into the story. The story could have used a bit better proofreading, but I find this problem often in digital books.
I received a free copy of this book from the author, but my opinions are definitely honest and unbiased.
