Weapons don’t weep… the savior of their world. She’s destined to end the reign of the Red Queen, to destroy the Jabberwocky, all while dealing with the teasing grin of the Cheshire Cat.
In this epic conclusion to the trilogy, will Calypso be able to give everything to a world not her own, or will she let it die and Cheshire right along with it?
Let’s go to war…

This is the last of the three sons of wonderland. This book grabs you, shakes you up. Then slams you and dose it all over again. I couldn’t stop reading. All the books are awesome, but Chess is by far the best of the three. And that really is a hard call, all are amazing. This is the best telling of wonderland I have ever read. Add this to your TBR list, promise it is worth the read.
I loved this third book of the Sons of Wonderland from Kendra. The story of Calypso the final of the triad to arrive in Wonderland. Cheshire Cat, her mate, is wicked, sexy and wears a mask that no one sees behind…..
The book is paced fabulously, it’s fast but you don’t feel rushed except by your own desire to race to see how it all ends. The villains are dastardly, the heroes are perfect.
The way the chapters flip from all the characters so you see what is happening from all their perspectives deepens the story line rather than detracts, which can sometimes happen when this is done. Though don’t have any doubt that this is very very much Calypso’s story.
I loved catching up with Clara Bee and Hatter, Jupiter and White, seeing their ongoing love affairs entwined with Calypso and Cheshire. The Tweedles made me shudder ugh they are soo creepy.
I cried a few times during this book, I snorted lots too. The fabulous ending answers one question we all had… who was the fourth? And opens up the series to a whole lot MORE! Yay!!!!!!
Thank you Kendra. Love your work.
This is an absolute amazing ending to an exciting epic series, the happiness and sadness is the best. Kendra has definitely left the best till last. Chessie is a total badass as is his mate. A brilliant read with a excellent ending and then some, you really need to jump down this hole to Wonderland action packed, steamy, tragic, and amazing characters Please read this series
Wow, the series is getting better and better. This book was as fabulous as the previous ones but with the added darkness and an epic battle. Some details are even darker, considering the author reveals more of Alice’s history.
This book had emotions on steroids, so much love, loss, loyalty, betrayal, stubbornness and depreciation. The author’s writing remains amazing, strong, expressive, and beautifully consistent. This time with added sadness when compared with the previous books, which is to be expected considering the events and the main couple.
So, Calypso, a car mechanic with a spine of steel and a determination of a lunatic, meets Cheshire the Cat, the most stubborn and most self critical and self loathing Son of Wonderland. Needless to say that their romance is not as smooth and logical as the previous two, because, well, Cheshire. However, that did not stop them from enjoying each other’s company from time to time, which was super hot.
Then there are adorable Atlas, Calypso’s little brother and their mother, who fit in Wonderland like they were meant for it. The whole crew is present and more involved than ever, even with the addition of Flamingo, who is a special character on his own. The author did such an amazing work on the characters and the descriptions that I felt like I was there with them.
But probably, the most beautiful in the whole series are the rhymes, whether they come as prophecies or characters’ statements. I found myself reading them over and over again, trying to memorise them. This is one of the best series I have ever read and I hope for more. The author’s imagination and talent are a thing of beauty, and she has a special place in my heart.
I love how the author has taken a simple fairytale and turned it into a twisted retelling series. Love this series, can’t wait to read more and love her writing style. It is so unique and unpredictable you never know what your gonna get when you read her works but know it is going to be amazing and a fun read.
Cheshire definitely met his match with Calypso! Loved this installment as well as the series as a whole. Feral as a Cat will pull you in and keep you reading until the very end!
After reading the last book Late as a Rabbit, I was anticipating the story of Cheshire. I was thinking what sort of woman could possibly make this grumpy, seemingly- bored- with- everything kind of guy and at times, he strikes me as heartless. Enter Calypso, who went through a lot in her life. She strives to take a big responsibility on raising her younger brother and that shows a lot about her character as strong, mature, loving woman. Not only that, she is a bada** with her love of restoring/ fixing cars and her take-no-sh*t from anyone attitude. It is no wonder then that Cheshire and Calypso are fit for each other.
This book has been an emotional ride for me. I felt for Calypso’s predicament and her story is relatable that I have a lot of teary eyed moments. I laughed during Cal’s and Cheshire’s banter; the heated push and pull; it just added to the steam when they finally accepted their feelings. Their love story is never easy, as both fight an internal battle but it was so worth it in the end.
I was going to say I’m sad that it’s the last of the Wonderland series but with the way things end, I’m excited to see more of the gang in another spin off and to meet new characters.
absofreakinglutely incredible. this was so hot! and full of action, unexpected ending indicating the new beginning of a new series after wonderland. this book was everything! realistic and so in character. what happened to alice was quicker than id hoped, same with the one who had twisted her in the first place but with everything going on, that didn’t hurt the story at all.
this series is a must read. fresh, hot, and original. amazing book and just cannot say it enough with how much I enjoyed this author’s take on alice in wonderland.
HOLY CRAP!! Kendra definitely saved the best for last in the series!!! I have been anxiously awaiting the release of Cheshire’s story and OMG, it was soooo worth the wait!!! The entire series was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to see what journey the author takes us on next!!!!
Feral as a Cat has actually been one of my most anticipated releases of this year. I have been waiting very impatiently to see what type of woman can tame the grumpy, broody Cheshire Cat and I was not disappointed at all. Calypso is absolutely PURRFECT.
I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end and so full of emotions that my family probably thought I was nuts.
Keep the tissues close on this one, Kendra definitely sends you on an emotional rollercoaster!
The best part, be prepared for that ending, I was literally screaming with excitement!!
*WARNING* contains violence and explicit adult situations
Cheshire knows this last part of the prophesy is about him, but there’s no way he’s letting someone else decide his fate.
Calypso is a mechanic trying to take care of her little brother and her mothers nursing home bills. Calypso and Atlas have their hands full with a mom with dementia.
I have read this series from book one. This book was AMAZING! Moreno has done a spectacular job with the development of characters, world building of Wonderland, descriptions of the creatures, the story was entertaining. I couldn’t put this down. I am excited to see what happen in a spinoff.
RECOMMENDED
This is the third book in the Sons of Wonderland series by Kendra Moreno and it was incredible! Cheshire needs to find his mate to fulfill the prophecy but he is resistant. Rabbit forces the issue and finds Calypso an independent woman running her own business, raising her 15year old brother and looking after her dying mother. She has no time for men or fairy-tales. Rabbit forces her and her family to go to wonderland. There is chemistry between Cheshire and Calypso but they are both to stubborn to admit the connection. The book grabs your attention right from the beginning full of action, suspense, love and sacrifice. I highly recommend this series and can’t wait to read more!
This book was the perfect end to this series. It had me on a feels rollercoaster the whole story cycling through all of the emotions multiple times. The characters from the first two books continued to grow and the backstories that had me intrigued were finally revealed. The new characters were strong and well built up throughout, I would have loved more about Attie though. This series has been an amazing adult look at untold dark version of the land beyond the rabbit hole.
Feral as a Cat Review
The final installment of the Sons of Wonderland series…or is it? Talk about two people who are so right for each other and at the same time so frustrating I wanted to reach through the pages and wring Cheshire’s furry neck! Cheshire is such an incorrigible, hard-hearted, stubborn cat who is totally damaged thanks to Alice, aka the Red Queen. Cal is also closed off and stubborn, but mostly because she’s had to be responsible for her younger brother, Atlas, and her ailing mom. She tries not to like Cheshire and watching her taunt him is one of the funniest highlights of the book. Despite their determination to avoid and dislike each other, when things heat up, they really heat up! Feral picks up where Late as a Rabbit leaves off, and is just as exciting and twisty as the the first two books. Cal’s the only one of the triad that has a family and I wondered what Kendra was going to do with them. She totally made it work. This story was beautiful, funny, sexy, and horrific all rolled into yet another stellar novel. This story is told from multiple POV’s so while traipsing through Wonderland we get the big picture from all the key players. The battle with the evil Red Queen that’s been building from book one comes to a satisfying resolution with yet another unexpected twist. No cliffhangers for Cheshire and Cal, but exciting news of a continuation! A Spin off! Hopefully with all the characters we’ve come to know and love. I’m sure I’ve said this before but it’s worth repeating. Kendra Moreno has become one of a handful of authors on my auto buy list. She’s got mad (see what I did there?) writing skills, a terrific editor and an amazing cover artist. If you haven’t picked up this series yet, what are you waiting for?
Omg!!!! Loved this series!!! Cal is a fantastic fit for the Cheshire cat. Loved this entire book!!! But that ending!!! I think I jumped for joy after reading that ending. I won’t put down any spoilers but cliffhanger/ spinoff. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I hope same characters are in it. Again fantastic story. All 3 books were fantastic.
My Cheshire.. Goddess protect him.. he finally met his match in Calypso.. both are solid fire and ice and I loved every moment during the best and worst of my emotional tiltawhirl..to read this book has the feeling of finally coming home to Wonderland.. extraordinary job!!
Prepare to fall down the rabbit hole to Wonderland, one last time…
I expected to cry during some part of this review, loving this world so much and finding it hard to say goodbye, but I didn’t think I’d begin crying as soon as I begun writing this. It seems silly, but it’s rare when a series touches your heart enough to make you cry, even harder when that series feels like it’s a part of your very essence. When I read this series, I feel like I’m coming home; that I’m surrounded by friends and family. I don’t think I can put to words how hard this review is for me to write, because my heart feels so full and happy, but also, I’m sad to say goodbye to Wonderland.
Cheshire was the son I didn’t know whether I’d connect to out of the three. I loved him as a minor character through the two books before Feral as a Cat, but I didn’t know how he’d deal with the prophecy and the idea of a mate. I expected a lot of reluctance, but what I didn’t expect was to read about a kindred spirit. Cheshire has control issues, but for good reason, but beneath that, he’s a complex man who wants nothing more than to be happy. His journey in this book was a hard one to read, because he’s been through and lost so much, and many times in this book I just wanted to smack the silly cat upside the head and show him happiness is right in front of him, within reach, but as you can imagine Chesh doesn’t give in too easily. And his reluctant struggle was beautiful and hilarious to watch.
“And yet, here Cal stands, tall, strong, beautiful, and so full of fire that I want to fan the inferno until she overflows and takes me out with her. But no temptation, no prophecy will force us together.”
And Calypso? I love how strong-willed, witty, and fiery she was. I didn’t know if any woman could be a match for the Cheshire Cat, but after reading this book, Cal has convinced me that she’s more than up for the task. And she’s not going to back down from a challenge.
“Which of us is actually named after a goddess, Pu**y Cat? I think it will be you worshiping me.”
Overall, I’m obsessed with this whole series. I feel so happy I got to live and be a part of Wonderland. Thanks to this series, I was able to have tea with the Hatter, stop time with the White Rabbit, and defend Wonderland with the mischievous Cheshire Cat. If you haven’t fell down the rabbit hole yet, I highly recommend you do, so make sure you start at the beginning and, remember, we’re all mad here <3
“Things will always be different, our lives forever changed, all because of a Hatter, a White Rabbit, and a Cheshire Cat.”
I was given an ARC copy of the book in exchange for my review. I have also bought the book. Wow, I love this book. I laughed, cried, yelled, fell in love and was so angry at Cheshire in parts of the book, lol.
I love how the Author kept each book connected, but individual as well. The love story between Cheshire and his mate was a hard one, but so worth fighting for. The fight scenes were epic.
And just when I was worried it was over, Mrs. Moreno pulls out a twist with a spin off. Man, I can’t wait for the next book.
I was anxiously awaiting this release it did not disappoint. The third in the Sons of Wonderland. Cheshire is my favorite character so I was happy for his story to find out the women who would sorta tame him. Cal is a great character and her and Cheshire make a great couple the triad is complete. This is a highly recommended read.
I received a copy from the author my review is my opinion alone.
all the best people are crazy
Freaking Awesome. This book had it all! i laugh, i cried and i enjoyed myself so much reading this. I was feeling it all baby! The conclusion to this amazing Trilogy wonderland series!!
Calypso gets dragged to the rabbit hole along with her brother and mother and is asked to save wonderland. Sounds crazy until she starts meeting and seeing the madness. She must take out the Queen aka Alice but at a high price. She must give her all including her heart to none other than the cold playboy cheshire the cat..Or is he? Loved it!!! We get a few POVs from the rest of the gang like Hatter and Clara and a crazy spinoff to an entirely new fairytale!! Action packed, sexy steamy scenes and grab some tissues! Its still dark and beautiful #girlpower#HatterIsStillMine#heyPussyCat
