I loved this book. It was hard to set it down. It has a great story line. The author has great attention to detail! This is a wonderful series!
I enjoyed this book tremendously!! Cannot wait to read more of Winters future stories and will it ultimately lead her to The Preacher.
Well done yet again Ms Stone!!!
I’m so thrilled that I found this author. I read her first book which was free, and it had me hooked from the very beginning. Fast paced, both books kept me on the edge of my seat and had me wanting more!
Dark and unpredictable, just like I like my stories. A real page-turner. Difficult to put down. You will love it if you love twisted stories.
This is first book in this series. It informs the reader of how a serial killer targets this family. A really good series from a really talented author.
Winter Black, now a rookie FBI agent, is back in her hometown on a case. A hunter and his son have found a body of a young child buried in a shallow grave in the woods. Winter initially believes the bones may belong to her brother as thirteen years ago, she was left for dead and her young brother taken by a serial killer known as The Preacher. This case seems to mix past and present and is far-reaching. Winter and her partner must solve it before anyone else is killed.
I really enjoyed this book which kept me on the edge of my seat. I did come across a couple errors but overall the book was well-written with well-rounded characters. I’m looking forward to the next book.
Engrossing psychological thriller that kept me attached to my Kindle until the last word! This tightly plotted novel with well-developed characters is the beginning of a series that will keep this reader coming back for every book. Highly recommend!
Another great story that continues Winter’s story. It is action packed and unpredictable. Winter’s character is so believable. You never know what she is going to do next.
I loved it
This was my first book by this author, overall I found it to be well written. The plot line was interesting, and I enjoyed the interaction between Winter and Noah.
Having read Winter’s Origin I knew I had to follow Winter as an FBI agent who had an objective in mind–to find the murderer of her parents and the abductor of her younger brother. She had very unusual abilities ever since she woke out of the coma from that fateful night. When the color red appears she knows she has found a suspect in which ever case she is working.
She is paired with another rookie and sent to the town where it all happened. It seems that a body has been found–and then more bodies and more bodies! All but one are very young children–Agent Black and her too handsome partner are bound and determined to get to the bottom of it all–even though the local police are not very helpful–at least not at the beginning.
There was a deep dark secret in this town–and it took all Winter’s ingenuity and special abilities to ferret out the truth and save her old friend–and a young girl.
Meanwhile the person who had murdered her family was watching and dropping notes–actually stalking Winter–
When you get to the end of this psychological thriller most but not all will be revealed. I read it in one sitting-I could not put it down! I will definitely be reading more of this series–Mary Stone knows how to write a thriller!
I must say, I have not been this interested in a book for a while…..until now. This story will grab you from the very start and put you through a roller coaster ride of emotions. The characters are absolutely fabulous! Even bad people should get Emmys for their performances. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens with Winter. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.
