What happens when thirst becomes an obsession that can’t be quenched?Forty-year-old Zachariah Taylor prides himself on being the overprotective older brother of seven. He owns a successful bar, Zach’s Bar and Grill, in the quiet town of Riverside Falls and loves the life he’s built for himself. But as his siblings move on and find their forever partners in life, he’s starting to feel less and … less and less needed—not to mention old. Suddenly, he’s finding it even harder to ignore the younger man who has pursued him for years, but the twelve years separating them is something Zach can’t seem to overlook.
Twenty-eight-year-old Drew Belford has been in love with the stubborn Zach Taylor for seven years. Sure, he was a kid when they’d first met, but what Zach is determined to ignore is the man Drew has become. Drew, however, is just as strong-minded and refuses to let Zach use their age difference as an excuse to disregard the attraction burning between them. He doesn’t need an overprotective older brother—he needs Zach.
When Drew begins to get unsettling messages from an unknown person, Zach feels helpless in a way he’s never felt before. How can he protect Drew from someone he can’t find? The thought of anyone hurting Drew unleashes years’ worth of pent-up desire Zach has had for the younger man. Is his thirst for Drew enough to protect him from the danger lurking in the shadows, or will the threat of the unknown be enough to douse the spark of love between them—and silence Drew forever?

Second book in the Beyond the cove series that can be read as a standalone. I loved Zach and Drew so much. I sort of felt bad for Drew because Zach is so dense and stubborn about his feelings. He was unknowingly hurting him.
And seven years of pining?!! Fuuuuck!! That’s a long time! Seven years of Zach being stubborn.
The stalker plot. I didn’t see that coming. It was a total surprise. I was suspecting a lot of people but it didn’t even come close.
I felt like there was a bit too much “I’m his, he’s mine” stuff. They think or say that so many times after they got together, I thought that it was a bit too much.
Sawyer. I’m so intrigued by him. I want his backstory so bad! I’m sensing a shitload of angst there. I can’t wait for his book!(Especially since it’s with Grant and Mason)
The next book is Ryder and Avery and fingers crossed, I can read it as soon as possible!!
I liked the way the suspense was built and the identity of the bas person got me but it explains a lot and opens up storylines I had hoped for future books. Zach and Drew tension and finally Zach getting his head out of his butt made this a great read.
Id definitely recommend reading book 1 first but you could read this as a stand alone
Zach is the protector in his large family. So when he eventually gives into the attraction and the feelings he has for his employee, Drew, it’s no wonder that he tries to protect him when someone starts harassing him. Now the question is, can he not only protect him and figure out who and why, but also keep Drew’s heart?
I liked Thirst For You – it’s sweet, sexy and suspenseful. I did feel a tad lost in the beginning and throughout, as it’s obvious these characters have been in previous installments together, but I got the basics of what was going on and was able to enjoy reading as Zach and Drew fell in love.

Dramatic and thrilling! Jaclyn had me intrigued from the beginning!!
This was the first story I’ve read by this author and wow what a thrilling journey. I loved both Zach and Drew. I loved Drew’s confidence, sass, and shameless flirting. He knows what he wants and it’s afraid to go for it. Zach, while pensive and (over) protective is a great balance for Drew and I’m so glad he finally admitted his feelings, any wrongdoings, and love for Drew wholeheartedly without too much back and forth.
The thrilling stalker side of the story was interesting and it kept me guessing for quite a while. I love a good thriller and this one had an interesting twist. Jaclyn did the creepy stalker aspect really well. I’m intrigued by her mind and enjoyed the scare elements.
I really enjoyed this story and now need to go back and read book 1 and the original Haven’s Cove Series. A great thriller/romance !! I also really look forward to knowing more about Sawyer’s story and hope there’s a MMM story Beyond the Cove soon!!
I’ve also got to add, I love it when a cover matches the characters!!! Another great design by Cate Ashwood!!!

Thirst for You is book 2 in the Beyond the Cove series and while it features several characters from the previous series and the first book of this one, it can be read as a standalone, which is what I did.
I absolutely adored Drew. He was such a strong, resilient character. I felt so bad for him, not only because of his not-quite-unrequited love for Zach, because of all he had to deal in this story. His reactions to everything were so realistic and believable and I just wanted to hug him and make it all better. Now, while I liked Zach, frankly I wanted to strangle him so many times during the first half of the book. He annoyed me to no end with his insistence that Drew would change his mind when Drew had been after him for 7-freaking-years already!!! Grrr!!! At least, he finally got his act together after learning of Drew’s stalker, and became the man that Drew deserved. Once that happened, I loved Zach and Drew together, they were so affectionate and loving, and it didn’t hurt that the sex scenes were hot, hot, HOT!
The stalker portion was well thought-out and had some twists that I didn’t really see coming, especially during the last 30% of the book.
Overall, this was a really good read! The suspense had my heart pounding, the romance had me both swooning and fanning myself (when I stopped being frustrated with Zach, LOL) and the sense of family and friendship among most of Zach and Drew’s friends and how most of them rallied to help when they needed it was amazing. I’ll be looking forward to more books in the series. Definitely recommendable!

This is the first time I have read a book by this author & I was pleasantly surprised at how well this MM romance was written. I found the story-line & plot well-written with suspenseful ominous undertones. The well-developed characters have distinctive, individual personalities & there is great support from the secondary characters.
There is: a mischievous 28yr old male employee highly attracted to his boss (Drew), his boss & owner of a bar who is a 40yrs old protector yet he is a bit disconnected from his own emotional needs (Zach), twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, mystery, humor, action, threats, danger, a villainous stalker, some homophobia, verbal conflict, mother advice, disagreements, attempted murder, emotional turmoil, love, happiness, some steam & a satisfying epilogue.
I really enjoyed reading this MM romance & would recommend it

What a thrilling ride! This story is full of suspense and passion; based on how much I loved the well-executed plot and the sizzlin’ romance between bar owner Zach and employee Drew, this is an author whose works I will be looking to read more of in the future.
I will admit, I did not yet read the first book in the series and found the opening family gathering a bit confusing, with so many characters introduced so quickly. But the scene set the atmosphere, showing Zach’s central position in a large, loving family. It also demonstrates Zach’s ability to joke and laugh thanks to a surprise GIFT from his seven year old nephew. In the context of the tension in the bulk of the plot, the snippets of family chaos and humor are needed relief. Zach’s background is so different from younger Drew, who has had only his brother Grant as support since he was a kid.
Yes, Drew’s sideline and the relationship between the two are red-hot, but the stalker mystery that runs through the story from beginning to end was gripping and central to their developing intimacy and frustration. The mysterious and grumpy bartender Sawyer and an online follower ramp up the tension while Drew’s out and outspoken personality lends itself to some antagonisms that lead Zach and Drew to suspect an ever-growing number of bar customers of targeting Drew for their hate and violence. The tension keeps building so that the latter half of the story was SO hard to put down even with Morpheus calling.
Highly recommended as a steamy MM romance AND a thriller. I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
OMG this series just keeps getting better. I cannot gush about this book enough. The twists, the flirting, the denial, the sexual tension make for a book you cannot put down. I hope we don’t wait too long for more of Beyond the Cove
Drew has been in love with Zach Taylor for seven years, but once things start going in the direction Drew has finally been waiting for, things start to become complicated. He starts getting nasty messages. Someone is watching, waiting. Zach’s character is, man, fantastic. I love strong willed characters like him. When he finally gets out of his own way and gives into what he wants, things heat up nicely between him and Drew. Drew is so sweet, funny, sexy. I love a good mystery/suspense from time to time, and there is some of that going on in this book. I loved it! Even though I did figure things out before the big reveal, it in no way took away from me loving this book. I love Jaclyn Quinn’s stories and definitely cannot wait to see what she brings us next!
Zach and Drew’s happily ever after had a lot of twists and turns and suspense! The small town was turned upside down by Drew’s stalker and the twists the storyline took. It was pleasant to see Jake, Eli and the boys as well when Zach’s family gathered for different occasions. This was a true standalone in this series.
My favorite in the series so far. Never suspected who the stalker really was. Awesome book!
