I really enjoyed this book. I have read the whole series and would recommend it.
I not only recommend reading this book, I recommend reading all of the books in this series. Outstanding and original writing that sucks you in right away and keeps you wanting more! I had a hard time putting the books down and have already re-read them. ***Awesome author – one of my all time favorites if not my favorite!
I am not sure if I love or hate Stephen R. Donaldson. He is an amazing author in my eyes. I love the Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever books. Always have a hard time putting them down. My problem is I get a little too involved and engaged. Thomas Covenant is very churlish and I find I start to mimic his personality when I read these books. The reason …
Donaldson’s Story Telling is magical – the Thomas Covenant Series from start to finish is on par with Tolkien – each book stands alone as a great work but the series from start to finish – especially the long-awaited finish is truly masterful!
One of the best books ever written.
Definitely a classic!
I loved this series. Read and reread it.

Start with the first trilogy (Lord Fouls Bane, …
The entire 6 book set of on this land with a very flawed hero is very good
This book and the other 5 in the series are written by an individual with a very inflated ego and sense of self-worth. The main character did nothing but whine throughout the entire series. If he wasn’t whining, he was self-loathing. I never disliked a main character in a book as much as Thomas Covenant. I’d skip these books, they are a total …
I have read all of his books. He is so masterful in his stories and the way he builds his characters. No disappointment here.
Dark but riveting.
Love this series
I read the first book, fell in love with the characters, and ended up reading the entire series and all the subsequent books (except the newest after 2010 – have to get to those now, too!). I loved the series so much, I got some of my other family members to read them, as well. Mr. Donaldson (& if I remember correctly, his wife was later …
