George covers his fear of loss by trying to be as much of a man as he can.As a boy, he lost his mother and feels like it’s his fault. He doesn’t want to find a wife, she would be just another woman for him to lose. When he seeks the attention of the new poetry teacher, it’s only to have a good story to tell the other hands. Unfortunately, every time he gets near her, he can’t think of anything … think of anything but poetry.
Phoebe Root believes if she doesn’t spread a love of poetry, the art will die.
When a cowboy casually enters her class and shocks her with his reaction to her poetry, she can’t give up on him.
An illness settles over Belle Fourche, as dangerous as the one that took George’s mother. Will he let her go to avoid another loss, or hold tight and claim his first love?

A Lady Loves Much (Brothers of Belle Fourche #7) was another great read by Kari Trumbo. George feels as though his mother’s death while he was a boy was his fault. He never wanted to find a wife because he feels that he will just lose her too. He seeks attention of the new poetry teacher, Phoebe. An illness takes over Belle Fourche and it’s just as bad as the one that took George’s mother. I really enjoyed reading George and Phoebe’s story and can’t wait to read more by the author.
Kari Trumbo is always a good story.
Time for George to grow up in this historical romance
George is the youngest of the Oleson boys, a bit of a wild card who hasn’t yet properly processed how losing his mother affected his view of women. Phoebe is a woman without family ties, one who sees the good in George’s heart and knows he’s a better man than everyone thinks.
Their romance is sweet and challenging, and when an epidemic hits town George is forced to confront some hard truths in order to be the man Phoebe needs him to be. It’s a terrific end to a wonderful series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
George Oleson’s life hasn’t always been easy. When he loses both of his parents, the rest of the kids move to Belle Fourche and settle with the Oleson family there. George is a young 21 year old young man who is troubled by losing his parents and acts out because of that. When he meets Phoebe Root the newcomer to town who is teaching poetry to the town he begins to change. This is such a heartwarming story of growing up and finding love when you least expect it! Incredible story with even better characters!

A wonderful conclusion to this series! (Although I wish there were more!)
I bought this boxset audiobook but since I had already listened to the first two, I just copied my previous reviews!
It was a great feature to be able to just click directly to the correct book to read instead of fast forwarding through them blindly!!
I loved that young George fought his demons and grew up! His fragile heart was masked with anger and rebellious responses, but a poetic destiny awaits the youngest cousin!
Scott had a tougher job in this one I think because he had to repeat the voices for women in the earlier books and as usual, he’s was marvelous!
Kari writes like she’s telling true stories! The characters seem so real and multi-dimensional! I gasped at a death in shock like it was true!
I can’t wait for more of Kari and Scott’s audiobooks in this series or the next!
“A Lady Loves Much (Brothers of Belle Fourche Book 7)” by Kari Trumbo
A sweet clean romance in turn of the century American west that is an easy read. The big question, will George and Phoebe overcome prior events in their lives and redefine their futures? Or, will they continue on following the paths they have planned for themselves. I received a copy of this audiobook as a gift. And truly did enjoy my time within the story of these characters. Happy Reading !
George Oleson wasn’t very likable when he was first introduced in book 4 in this series. He was angry and participated in mean jokes and pranks. He was emulating men in the bunk house he shouldn’t have by his actions and he also felt like no one respected him, which made him even madder. Phoebe Root seems to bring out a different side of him, one that is poetic and caring. But she’s been hurt by a brutish fiance who was only after her family’s business and her job doesn’t allow her stay in one place long, so she’s afraid to form attachments. It isn’t until she falls ill and George feels just as helpless as he did when his mother was sick and he couldn’t save her that he starts to realize the extent of his feelings for Phoebe and that if he doesn’t take the risk and give her his heart that he will regret it the rest of his life. This was a sweet conclusion to a wonderful series. I loved reading about the Olsen brothers and cousins and their expanding families. I only wish there were more family members to continue the series.
A Lady Loves Much is about the most troubled or troublesome brother. George carries around a lot of guilt and anger and gets along with no one until the pretty poetry teacher comes to town. Phoebe Root senses a fellow poetic soul and doesn’t listen to the advice to stay away from George. Both characters are likable and well developed. The townspeople’s illness adds tension, conflict, and suspense to the plot. I love how forgiveness is illustrated through this book, both seeking and granting it. I enjoyed reading how George learns to become a real man, not boastful nor arrogant. I liked catching up with the couples that were featured in the earlier books, although it’s not necessary to have read them to enjoy this one. I plan to read more of Kari Trumbo’s work and highly recommend this one to readers of clean/wholesome historical romance and to readers of Christian historical romance. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.
A love of poetry crusade leads Phoebe Root to Belle Fourche in the form of a poetry teaching position. George Oleson is on his own private crusade to prove he is a man to the world, including his family and a bunkhouse full of cowboys. Poetry readings, a horseback ride and a contagious illness threatening the residents of Belle Fourche teach lessons that change the lives of Phoebe, George and the Oleson family in ways no one could have foreseen.
From the loveable characters, the true to life bumbling misunderstandings, the central role of faith, forgiveness, healing and love, Kari Trumbo has written my favorite installment in the Brothers of Belle Fourche series. While better to read the series in order, this can be read as a standalone book.
While provided an ARC, it is of my own voluntary initiative to leave this honest review.
This is the last book in the Brothers of Belle Fourche series. It is very well written and grabs you on the first page. If you are looking for a clean, heartwarming story, grab this book. I hated to see this series end but I can’t wait to see what Kari Trumbo writes next. I highly recommend not just this book but the whole series to everyone.
