This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It is a cute story about second chances. This is about two people who a both jilted at the altar by their mates. What will happen when they meet and one night changes everything? What will fate have in store for these two? I enjoyed both characters, Flora and Dean. They popped off the pages and their chemistry is strong even if they don’t know it. I highly recommend reading and finding out what happens to them.
I’m a sucker for romantic comedies and I loved this one by Holly Kerr. Normally you see a book with someone jilted at the alter but this one had 2. Flora dumped her fiancé and Dean was dumped by his. Both travel to Vegas just to get away and have a one night stand together but is one night enough for them to fall in love?
I loved this book. Its the first book I’ve read by Holly Kerr and I want to go read everything else she’s written. Her characters are amazingly written and the chemistry was off the charts. This book is a great weekend read!
Holly Kerr is a gem at writing beloved characters. I loved this one from the get-go. I’m so grateful to have found a new author as I love everything I’ve read of hers! Fabulous story of love crossing paths when you least expect it!
I enjoyed reading Perfectly Played. It is a great, sweet romance story. I really like the characters and their story as they fall in love with each other. The book is well written and detailed. It is a fun book to read.
After 8 years of being together, Flora is about to marry the man of her dreams….or is it her nightmares? He belittles her, makes her eat nasty things, and forgets to bring her a bouquet for their wedding. Finally, enough is enough and Flora realizes, marrying Thomas would be a mistake. As she makes her escape from the Vegas Chapel, she literally runs into Dean. Poor Dean has been stood up by his own bride. After a quick apology, Flora makes a run for it and heads back to her hotel. What a surprise when she runs into Dean again at the bar in her hotel. After a crazy night of strippers, brawls, and Ihop, things come to an end. Feelings are hurt, disappointment is felt, and oversights happen. What happens next is one wacky roller coaster ride of emotions but it all leads up to a nice HFN ending.
Written as a 1st person, multi pov. Nice story line, good description to details (a little too wordy at times, but not bad), nice characters, and engaging dialogue. All in all, a good read.

Sassy Beta Reading and Review
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What an energetic way to start a book. The heroine, Flora, dumps her guy and the hero, Dean is dumped by his gal, and wham, she literally runs into him! He’s a down and out former baseball pitcher and she almost made it to the Olympics as as softball catcher. This could have been so depressing, but Holly Kerr writes this dual POV with energy and excitement. Will they have a second chance? Will they trust again? These two characters are perfect together and so are their best friends M. K. and Clay. I heartily recommend this delightful book and this very clever author!
Can Flora and Dean have a future together their one night together in Las Vegas? They met whil Flora is running away from her wedding with her boyfriend of eight years and he is been dumped by her perfect girlfriend. When they met again unexpectedly in Toronto Dean thinks he is nor ready to start a new relationship and they agree to be friends. But will friendship be enough for both of them when they are meant for each other? A sweet and funny story about love, second chances, confidence and trust. I received a free copy of this book and this is my honest review.
What an absolutely delightful story!
I adore Flora and Dean – their meet-cute is definitely on the memorable side, they make great friends and an even greater couple.
I also enjoyed M.K. and Clay’s romance – and the part they play in their respective BFFs’ lives.
Bonus points for Flora’s dislike for heels, assorted geeky references, and – last but not least – for Dean’s last name being Coulson. ‘Nuff said.
This cute and funny story is the first book I’ve read by Holly Kerr, but it sure won’t be the last!
