He’s given up on love. She’s a romance writer. When they are thrown together at a cottage on the beach, will love bloom or sparks fly? Justin Miller is one of the producers and host of the reality dating show Who Wants To Marry a Cowboy, but he’s tired of helping others find love. He’s tired of love in general. Why can’t it just be a little business arrangement, like everything else in his life? … like everything else in his life? His business partner sends him on a little vacation to clear his head, and cheer him up. It was just supposed to be a week at a cottage on the beach. Until he meets Ava.
Romance writer Ava McDermott believes in love even though she has yet to find the one for her. However, after struggling with her current book, she decides to take a few days off and recharge at a cottage by the sea. She expected some time alone, but when a strange man shows up, she finds herself in a romance of her own.
Justin and Ava must decide if it’s time to create their own fairy tale ending, even if it’s not real. A fictional relationship for two people who are ready to escape reality sounds like the perfect plan, until it isn’t. Real feelings can get hurt, even when you’re fake dating someone. Image isn’t everything, and Ava and Justin have to choose. Is love real, or make believe?

I loved this book! It was so sweet while being realistic at the same time. I loved the characters and adored Margie. The couple are definitely opposites but they complement each other well. You don’t need to read the other books in this series to understand this book but the ones I’ve read are really good to so…why not?!
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Justin and Ava can’t stand each other upon meeting in the vacation cabin they both booked for the same week. But they agree to embark on a fake relationship to fix their images, he as a heartless Grinch who hates romance and she as a romance author who can’t keep a romantic relationship. They are opposites in many ways. She likes quiet and he likes loud music. She believes in God and he lost that belief when his wife died and it was reinforced when his second wife left him for his brother. He has to learn to trust another woman again. She has to learn that real romance is not a fairy tale and you have to work at it every day. Margie the matchmaker was a riot. I thought it was funny that they both liked Code Red Mountain Dew. I didn’t like Justin much in a last book, but I understand now why he was a jerk and he redeemed himself in this book. There was plenty of humor, romance, and some sad moments in this story.
The Producer’s Unlikely Bride is a fun, clean romance from one of my favorite authors – Lorana Hoopes. Just and Ava end up double booked for a beach vacation and have to wait at least three days before asking for a refund. These two opposites have an interesting few days and decide to enter a fake relationship to help their careers. Of course, nothing goes smoothly. That’s all I will say except to tell you that you will not want to miss this engaging book.
A unique story, fun to read!
Justin unwilling to believe in love—or, so it seems. He is letting that affect his performance as the host of the dating show Who Wants to Marry a Cowboy, so his business partner sends him on a trip and tells him to get his act together, if he wants to keep working. Meanwhile, Ava McDermott believes in love, but she’s having trouble believing she’ll ever find someone of her own to love. Kind of sad, for a romance book writer! Her agent tells her to head for the beach for a week, and she agrees to see if she can come up with a story, during that week. The two meet there, at the beach cabin. Not exactly instant attraction, but give it time! Funny things happen, and you will enjoy the ending!
Justin and Ava are opposites that need a bit of help to fall in love. I enjoyed seeing the touches of God that bring them together. This story brings the saying “fake it until you make it ” come to life.
This is a good book to read. I like that it has a christian take on it. I thought I knew where things were going between the 2 main characters but then learned there was a twist I had not expected that made the story more interesting. I think you would like this book a lot. Lorna Hoopes is a very good writer. I received an ARC of this book. This is my honest, voluntary review.
So good! I really enjoyed getting to know what drove Justin into the stiff Host he portrayed. If you like clean stories I highly recommend The Producer’s Unlikely Bride.
I had an ARC copy of this book, but this review is my honest opinion. I really enjoyed this book. Lorana did a great job with the characters, and the plot. The faith factor she incorporates is always right on track. I enjoyed seeing the growth of the characters through the story.
Justin and Ava are a fun couple. They are definite opposites! Justin is burned out on love and his boss makes him take a forced vacation at the beach to “just chill”. He’s the producer of a dating reality series but he doesn’t believe in love so that makes things kind of awkward! His boss wants him to “re-evaluate”! Ava writes romance and has writer’s block. She thinks being by the beach in a cottage will help her get over it. Although she hasn’t had a date in ages, she still believes in love and believes her parents have a “perfect” marriage! Trouble begins when Justin and Ava rent the same cottage! Various events happen in both their personal and professional lives to test them and bring them together! I enjoyed this story and loved how Ava helped Justin come back to his spiritual roots!
