As Florence and Carter’s, Joy and Isaac’s, as well as Wilma and Levi’s loves deepen, Wilma reveals her and Carter’s twisted secret, Florence takes steps to leave the Amish community to marry wealthy Atheist Carter, Wilma denies Florence both family and orchard, and an ironic twist of fate has trouble prone Cherish briefly coming home only to be sent back just before her Aunt Dagmar dies.

Newly wed Florence Braithwaite laments the decay of her father’s orchard while learning to balance her precarious family bonds with the search for her birth mother’s family and plans to start a new organic apple orchard but the lines between English, Amish and family are further complicated when her siblings seek her and Carter out for support and comfort as the self centered Wilma turns vindictive.
Also contains scenes of Cherish’s struggle with loss,a surprise inspection to the farm, the promise of a new generation and the sadder themes of infertility, miscarriage and forced adoption.

Poignant containing 2 weddings, a funeral,three pregnancies, some family strife, a hint of temptation and a missed opportunity. As Joy’s and Wilma’s weddings draw closer, Florence misses her siblings and her busy life but finds some comfort in photos of her mother,talks she has with maternal grandmother Betty, and her warm and giving husband Carter but, she secretly prays to regain her father’s orchard. Wilma’s continued manipulation, Levi’s strict rules and the soon to be overcrowded house place the girls on edge and making them feel trapped.

Conflicted with some scheming. Hope faces the dilemma of love versus community and the sisters continue to seek the counsel of the now pregnant Florence when the new year finds them without their mother in a full house with a strict schedule, a list of chores and the demand to turn all of their earnings over to their miserly, controlling, and at times verbally abusive stepfather Levi or go hungry.

Full of drama with a fair amount of negativity. this fast paced novel has recaps of prior book highlights intermixed with snippets of the low moral resulting from Levi’s increasing rules; the couples and potential couples rocky romances; Cherish’s sly, manipulative and sometimes rude ways as well as an unexpected accident for Florence caused by Bliss’s birthday present and Wilma’s spiteful personality.
Can be read alone as it contains a good recap but is best if read in sequence.

Action and drama packed with a fair amount of negativity with a delivery that is at times awkward and stilled with a good degree of recapping. There are snippets from the lives of all the girl siblings including two of Cherish’s schemes going awry, Florence and Carter naming baby Iris, Wilma’s softening toward Florence and Carter, romances progressing for both Hope and Bliss as well as Levi and Wilma going on a trip leaving the girls unsupervised.
Can be read alone as it contains a good recap but is best if read in sequence.

Primarily negative but easy flowing with a cliff hanger ending in a secret revealed. This sequel contains scheming on the part of multiple family members, the negativity of having a self involved Englisher visit, Levi’s sudden softening personality, the plans to reopening the Orchard’s store,Wilma’s escalating critical and derogatory ways, the continued questioning of the Orchard’s ownership, and a pregnancy for Joy.
Can be read alone as it contains a good recap but is best if read in sequence.

Drama filled and easy flowing with a fair amount of conflict reflected by a bad newspaper article increasing increasing store traffic; Caroline’s bad influence on Favor, her lying to avoid leaving, her flirty with the unmarried men in the family; Cherish’s jealousy; the story of Wilma’s hiding the will getting out; and Levi’s heart attack.
Can be read alone as it contains a good recap but is best if read in sequence.

Fairly negative again focused on Cherish’s self-centeredness,loneliness, jealousy and abrupt oftentimes negative or callous comments. It was nice to see a softening in Ada and the start of atonement/reconciliation involving Wilma, Levi and Florence. Ends with a happy scene.
As Levi recovers in the hospital after a heart attack, he urges Wilma to make things right with Florence while at the same time Ada, Florence and Cherish focus on running the orchard,business and home. Contains a brief update on all the siblings.
Can be read alone as it contains a good recap but is best if read in sequence.

I am so loving this series by Samantha Price. This is book 5 in the Amish Bonnet Sisters. I love the characters well written. Love to meet them. Each book leaves you wanting to read more. Florence has found out her stepmother has kept a big secret from her. How can she go on in the relationship with her stepmother knowing this? This secret is so big it could really mess up Florence plans. Get this series and enjoy the Bonnet Sisters. Each sister has a story to tell. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I love this series, each is better than the previous one. In Amish Family Secrets Florence finds out what the secret about her mother is. Florence is rejected on all fronts her move was a surprise and throws every one off balance. As I finish each book I anxiously wait for the next book. I recommend this series.
