Scotty:When a gorgeous cop comes racing out of a building on Fifth Avenue, hops in your horse-drawn carriage, and screams, “Go!”—you go.You don’t stop and ask for paperwork. Or a badge. Or an explanation of who you’re chasing. You simply follow his shouted orders and try not to kill anyone in the process. At least, that’s what I did when it happened to me. But then it turns out that the “cop” is … happened to me.
But then it turns out that the “cop” is none other than Roman Burke, Hollywood’s hottest star, and our little joyride gets me fired. Now I’m broke, my horse has been evicted from her barn, and I’ve got nowhere to turn.
Roman:
When you accidentally hijack a Central Park carriage to escape the paparazzi, get pulled over by the police, and your crisis manager insists you lay low for a while, you nod your head and go.
And when the cute carriage driver shows up on your front step, horse in tow, blaming you for losing his job, you agree to fix it. Even if that means hauling both him and his horse along with you on your Vermont getaway.
At least that’s what I did when it happened to me.
Unfortunately, trouble seems to stick to the sexy carriage driver like hot syrup on a hotter waffle, making my Vermont retreat anything but quiet.
Now the carriage driver is in my bed, unexpected guests are crawling out of the woodwork, and the paparazzi is on my tail. With chaos and scandal swarming around me, suddenly, it isn’t just my career on the line.
It’s my heart.

KU, This was fun. It’s definitely an OTT romantic comedy.
I’m not a huge fan of insta-love but Maddox & Lennox manage to smooth that over by giving Roman & Scotty serious time to talk/connect/share in a way that makes you feel like you’re reading weeks or months worth of relationship building.
I liked that “the big misunderstanding” wasn’t drawn out and that the MC’s came together quickly and worked it out.
I think the authors pushed the “unexpected visitors” a little too far. I’m not sure if they were trying to set up MCs for future books in addition to the secondary characters for this one, but it stopped being funny and became somewhat tedious.
LOL is the perfect title for this funny, sweet story!
I loved the banter between carriage driver Scotty and superstar actor Roman. Scotty, even when faced when all sorts of troubles, remains strong, funny and irreverent. Roman, a world-famous actor, under his hot superstar facade, is really a very caring, down to earth man.
I loved each and every single one of Lucy Lennox’s books, and this collaboration with Molly Maddox is just her pure writing-style magic times two!
Oscar, the off-page serial ex-boyfriend who is the trait d’union of all the series (aptly named After Oscar) is such an intriguing character that I cannot wait to read more about him!
Wow! I laughed and cried while reading this book! Scotty and Roman are perfect for each other! I love Scotty’s love for Nugget (his horse) and putting others before himself which makes him perfect for Roman who wants to take care of someone and Scotty is his perfect match! Such a great book full of life and laughter! Highly recommend reading!
The title says it all for this book. The MCs set off into a ridiculous chaotic plot that will definitely have you chuckling from time to time. I really liked both Scotty and Roman’s personalities. My only complaint is that there is almost too many side characters to keep track of. I would get momentarily confused as to who the authors were talking about, especially near the end of the book. It was almost too much ridiculousness at that point. Over all, it was an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to the next in the series. This book especially has me very interested in how Oscar’s story is going to turn out.
Where to begin with this one, well that is easy LAUGHTER ALL THE WAY THROUGH. All I can say is that after the 2nd time I would have stopped opening the door.
You would think it was these two that brought all the laughs but nope it’s Oscar and his wild family. NO NO NO we don’t get to meet Oscar just yet, but we do get a bit more of him in this book. From wild rides around NY and crazy wild family these 2 have an exciting story bringing them together.
This is the perfect book to spend an afternoon with. I just loved Roman and Scotty so much! This story is fun, silly, sweet, hot and also emotional.
There is also such a great cast of supporting characters that add just the right amount of zany to this romance. I can’t wait for more in this series.
I loved this story of Scotty and Roman. It was a madcap comedy romance that was nonstop craziness, except for the quiet moments the main couple spent alone together. Those precious, sexy, romantic moments alone were where their bond grew. Outside their private space, dealing with the insanity brought by so many other characters, is where their love strengthened. I laughed a lot, I cried a little, and I just felt happy with this story. Roman and Scotty were great men who deserved happiness, and I loved watching them make their way toward that happiness with each other.
There is a lot more of Oscar’s presence in this book than there was in book one, and I can’t wait to meet him in person. This is a fun series, and I’m loving it so much! If you love a bit of ridiculousness with your romance, I certainly recommend this series, and especially this book. What a ride!
You know those feel good romcoms that you just have to watch every time they come on tv? This, this is one of those. It really is Laugh out loud. Every character had me snort laughing at some point in the book. Scotty is a truly beautiful soul and Roman shows fame and money doesn’t always mean superiority and confidence. There’s really no angst to speak of and a really good time promised to all that read it.
