Interview with Kimbra Swain
Q: Why did you write the Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen Series?
A: I was born and raised in Alabama, and I loved the Urban Fantasy genre. I wanted to mix those two things, but remain true to the Southern traditions and values that I was raised on: family, community, and determination. The Trailer Park Series is my ode to the South.
Q: What is the most important part of the Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen to you?
A: Every single character in the series is real to me. The development of each one is so important for me going through the series. Some of them, including Grace, start off with many flaws. I should say especially Grace.
Q: How much of Grace is patterned after yourself?
A: Oh, gosh! Grace and I are a lot alike. Sassy and smart. However, Grace is very compassionate and trusting. She’s also got a mouth on her. She says things that aren’t PC, but as her character develops over the series, she sees that there were things she was very wrong about. Grace’s story is about becoming who she was meant to be, and fate doesn’t define that purpose. She does.
Q: What are your future plans for the Trailerverse?
A: The main series will have 15 books with a short story anthology focusing on the minor characters. I will be launching Wynonna’s story this fall in Stories of Frost and Fire. The werewolf, Dominick Meyer, will also get his own series called Dog River Wolfpack. It will launch this fall, too. I have future undetermined plans to expand the Trailerverse. Follow my website and the Trailerverse site to keep up with the announcements!

Levi gets to tell his tale in this epic story that has battles, love, and true friendship. Levi steps up to his new found title as King and becomes the leader he was always meant to be. While his beloved sleeps just feet away, Levi must fight his deepest fears if he wants to save Grace. One of the best books of the series! Kimbra continues to write these beautiful fairy tales that keep her readers coming back for more… And more… And more!
Wow! We learn a lot in this one! Loved it! I just can’t get enough of Grace and Levi. I’m counting down until the next book!
Outstanding! After an abduction, Levi steps to the forefront, flexing his bard to set things right. With facing coordinated attacks in multiple realms, he needs an edge or two. Even more answers are unveiled in this multilayered tapestry of roles and behind the scenes setups as the knights go forth to hopefully crown a true king.
How much fun to get the story from Levi’s point of view! The battle was wonderfully written and heart-wrenching at times. I hated that I didn’t see the true snake in the grass, but I’m grateful that has been resolved (or at least I think it has). Can’t wait to see what comes next for Grace and Levi as they embark on this new part of their relationship.
Love all Kimbra’s books never disappoints to bring characters to life.
This series keeps getting better. It was nice to get Levi’s point of view and the battles had me hype!
In Book 11 of this series we finally saw Grace and Levi get together. Que the happy ending and time of peace and enjoyment. Right? WRONG!! Levi must rely on the good townsfolk of Shady Grove more than ever as he races to make his family whole again. Along the way there are startling revelations, and a responsibility that Levi must embrace fully in order to save his Queen. Can Levi and his band of brothers get there in time? And, more importantly, will they all make it home? Grab your copy today and find out!
This is a must read for any fans of the trailerverse. Grace is taken by Rhiannon, Queen of Summer and Levi must take on the forces of Summer to save her. We learn many of his secrets and one of the biggest, his middle name and why he wouldn’t tell it to Grace.
Honestly, this series by Kimbra Swain is not my usual “traditional” romance standalone with the story wrapped by with a HEA at the end of each book. However I saw a post on Facebook and thought I’d give the first book a try. Well it sucked me in and I haven’t looked back. I devoured the first several books that had been published prior to me finding this author and now I have to wait somewhat patiently for each new book. The series has only gotten better with each successive book and that means this book is well beyond five stars. I’m looking forward to the next book, hopefully soon.
