Lila’s Readers Are In For A Treat
As ever, the lovely Lila Rose has outdone herself on this book. You’re gonna love Nance and Gamer. Promise.
Out Gamed had me glued to the pages and loving every minute of Gamer and Nancy’s story. We have loved this lady for so long and she has been a part of the Hawks family for forever. A love story that shows us that age is clearly but a number and that moving on after losing your forever love isn’t always easy. This story wraps its way around your heart and takes you on an emotional ride from loneliness, guilt, lust, love and acceptance. Roman “Gamer” Power will show us the reason he has the men of the Hawks at his back and why they count him as family. A man with a troubled childhood and demons of his own will reveal that nothing and no one will stand in his way of finally being able to call Nancy “his”. A book that showed us achievability in loving again and that it isn’t always the older man that gets the younger person.
I loved Gamer in Out of the Blue and when I heard he was getting his own story I snapped it up! Gamer and Nancy’s attraction is undeniable despite their age gap. And that worries Nancy until no end. Gamer has an uphill battle to win Nancy’s heart but he is up for the challenge. I can’t wait for another book in this series. I highly recommend this book!

I will admit I was not really excited about this story. Losing Richard broke MY heart, and reading about Nancy moving on didn’t give me the warm and fuzzys. BUT this was absolutely amazing. Nancy having the natural guilt of moving on, and then Gamer being so freaking patient with the whole process and making sure to go at her pace with things. I will admit I got a bit teary eyed at certain moments, but IMO this was just perfect for Nancy and Gamer! It also doesn’t hurt that we got to see the rest of the crew that we love so much. I give this 5 stars.

Still grieving for her husband, Nancy doesn’t understand why Gamer/Roman, a man 18 years her junior, is suddenly showing interest in her. She can’t betray her husband, she can’t love another man despite how he makes her feel… can she? Roman has never wanted an Ol’ Lady or even any sort of family apart from the brothers of the Hawks MC; the family he chose to be a part of. However, he sees Nancy and sees himself changing that for her, he wants her, he doesn’t see her age he just sees the woman she is and he likes what he sees. Can he convince her to give him a chance? Maybe just as importantly can he get his brothers, especially Talon; the club’s President and Nancy’s son in law to give them a chance and just how far is he willing to go for Nancy if they won’t?
This was a sweet story with Nancy finally realising it’s okay for her to move on from Richard; she doesn’t have to forget him, but its okay for her to love someone else. Once she’d made that decision Nancy really started to come out from under the shadow of grief she’s been living with and seeing her flirty, funny and trusting Gamer’s intentions towards her was nice to see. I give Out Gamed 4.5 stars.
I absolutely adored this book. Nancy’s grief was holding her stagnant but in walks Gamer (who I might add, has wanted Nancy for a while) and turns her life upside and it brightens up. Nancy and Gamer proved age is just a number. And it gives me hope that an “older” woman can find love again. This may have been a short story but it packed a big punch. As always Julian steals the show and a piece of my heart every time he speaks. Lila Rose never disappoints.
Who here loves a happy ending ?
I stand before you with both hands up . I don’t believe we go throw life with our trials and tribulations to only end up alone . I believe we should all have a happily ever after wether it be with someone older or younger , black or white know matter what race or religion . We all deserve to have that one , the feeling of being loved unconventionally with raw intensity and passion. Butterflies in your belly sweaty palms kind of love. Reading out Gamed which was Gamer and Nancy’s book had me hoping that they would be together and love each other and not let self doubt and the constant worry of what other people would think bring them down. With Nancy being older then Gamer she was worried the age difference would be to much to handle not to mention her guilt for moving on with her life since her husband Richards death three years earlier . Coming to terms with her emotions she embarks on a journey of self discovery and acceptance and learns that it’s ok to love again at any age. This was an awesome book and I could kick my own butt for taking so long to read it .

Nancy gets a second chance at love with Gamer. Their relationship is sweet, funny and sexy. I just love all the characters in this series. I can’t wait to read more.
3.5
This book wasn’t terrible, but the slang was hard to follow and there wasn’t a ton of drama like I expect with a MC Romance.
Gamer and Nancy clicked instantly and the love between them blossomed.
MC, Puppy, Older Woman, Younger Man
Nancy is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after her husband of 30 years has died. Roman “Gamer” has always been attracted to Nancy but she was married and he is younger. Now the time has come for him to make his move and show Nancy that she can have a happy life with him. This was a good story connected to a series but you can read as a standalone. An awesome read.
I have to admit, I was a little worried about this book. Why? Well, the age difference, to someone who is almost the same age as Nancy, had me wondering how Lila Rose was going to pull this book off. I should have known better. This author has never disappointed me before and this one wasn’t any different!
I loved Gamer and Nancy’s story. Lila Rose gave it all the feels I have come to expect from her books! She gave these characters the love and respect for their pasts that they deserved. Only one thing could could have made me love it more but I’m not going to give anything away and it wasn’t enough to detract in any way from how I felt about the story.
I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves Lila Rose and her Hawks MC!!!
Really appreciated the older woman (but not too old!) and younger guy scenario. Loved how Gamer never gave up on Nancy and how he was constantly making her see that she was just a number. Love how he loves her
I’m pretty new to Lila Rose’s bikers, although I have read all of her RomCom’s. I read Out of the Blue when that was released and knew I needed to grab her biker books because those characters that I only got a snippet of really appealed to me. We got to see a fair bit of Gamer in Out of the Blue so when I heard he was getting a novella I was certain I had to read it. Gamer and Nancy’s connection was believable. Nancy’s worries and guilt made sense and Gamer’s understanding was so heartwarming. I want a Gamer of my own.
I was not familiar with this author at all with this being also first time in reading. When seeing what was a bit that lay inside it intrigued me. I was also a bit leery due to the age thing but still ventured in. I do want to see more with that but they really have to work. Surprise this one did too, it worked very well. Once you got Gamer and Nancy’s story you are caught up with them with more and more the scales in their favor rooting for success. Of course with him being a biker it was a plus having a soft spot for them in the reading world. What I liked the most is he opened her eyes again to the fact she was more than she thought or remembered. Then we get the delight to see what exactly she does become and how they grow. After getting done with this one I would read her again not just because of the story but of the style and how she can weave the romance around the reader with her characters.
Absolutely loved this story and was thrilled to see Nancy get hers. I adore this series and can’t wait to see whose story is next.
This story made my heart happy. I love all kinds of romance though MC is one of my favs. The icing on the cake is that we get a mature heroine. This is often a rarity in the romance world which to be honest makes me kind of sad. Not everyone is 20 when they fall in love.
Roman is a younger guy and part of an MC that falls for Nancy who is a mother and grandmother. I love them both. Roman is respectful of Nancy losing her husband but doesn’t shy away from his interest in her. Nancy is learning to live again after suffering a devastating loss. This story is non-traditional in so many ways which makes me love it more.
Oh by the way don’t think older characters limits the amount of sexy you get in this read. Eek! So good. Yep drooling a bit. You will just have to read this story to know what I am talking about.
It was wonderful connecting again with some beloved characters from the Hawk MC world. You don’t have to read the other books. I will feel sad for you though because this is one of my ALL TIME Favorite series.
Happy Reading!
Awww how sweet is Gamer, I just thought Nancy and Gamer were the cutest thing EVER!!
An unexpected pairing, definitely! Gamer has been lusting after Nancy in secret, but has reached the point where he can no longer hold his interest back.
Nancy is a master of hiding her feelings. Although it has been years she is still no over the loss of Richard. She is surrounded by her family, who she loves to death, but there is a loneliness that only a partner could fill. Knowing her family will always support her, and being older than most around her, Nancy has convinced herself family is all she needs.
Gamer can see the pain and sadness that Nancy hides behind her eyes and is determined to be the man she needs and to put a genuine smile back on her face. Gamer unlike Nancy is not concerned that there is an age gap between them.
Nancy is completely taken aback by Gamer’s advances. A HOTT much younger man could not possibly want to start something with her right? Wrong!! The fact Nancy is older attracts Gamer to her more.
This is a beautiful tale of life after, death and a second chance at love, rolled up in the hot, sweaty, sexy world of the Hawks MC!!
Out Gamed by Lila Rose is the story of Roman “Gamer” Power and Nancy Alexander.
Nancy lost her husband Richard and is now dealing with her life that is left. Roman is now the President of the Hawks MC and enjoys the job but he has been eyeing Nancy and when the time makes it right he lets it know what he wants. Roman is younger than Nancy who is a mother and grandmother but nothing stops him from his feelings toward her.
This book touches on a lot of feelings with the lost of a love one, the age different between two people and the want of what they need.
Enjoyed their story.
A good book, IMHO, is one that brings out strong emotions. This is one author that has never failed to bring about some type of emotion in her writings. Whether it be tears, laughs, anger, or exasperation, I always feel something from her books. This book, is sure to be one of my favorites, because it left me with a big smile on my face, and a feeling of gladness in my heart!
Nancy has known the love of a good man, and the loss of him left her feeling empty. While she still has her children, and grandchildren, to keep her going, she knows there is something missing from her life, but doesn’t think there is any way to get past it. Gamer is a much younger man, a member of Nancy’s son-in-law’s MC, and has his own past. But he knows what he wants, and has the determination and patience to bide his time.
I cried when Nancy lost Rich. I’m not ashamed to say it. My heart hurt for her, and all of her family. This book lifted some of that, and their story was the one of second chances. I couldn’t help but enjoy their beautiful connection. This story just plain makes me happy!
I don’t think I will ever get tired of Lila Rose’s Hawks series. These men are freaking amazing, I mean really just #Sigh
Roman ‘Gamer’ was just too perfect. And that is exactly what Nancy needed after she lost the love of her life.
He staked his claim but he wasn’t overbearing about it. He told her he wanted her and the. He gave her time to get use to it. And he made it known that he was taking it at her pace. But Gamer also had his own issues stemming from a terrible childhood but that just made him more determined to be a better man than his father
And it was great to see the old gang again and Talon definitely looking out for his mother in law. Everything about this book was just to sweet and romantic. I didn’t want it to end.
Only problem I had Lila was it was too short. Definitely another favourite lady
Ah Gamer and Nancy, after reading ‘Out Of The Blue’ I have been so interested in their story and can honestly say it was worth the wait as I loved every bit of it from the first to the last page.
Nancy Alexander, fifty-five years old, a widow and mother of grown children and grandmother to boot is surprised when a younger man, Gamer, or Roman Power as he was christened, takes a shine to her.
Firstly, I have to confess I wasn’t all that enamoured with Gamer until this book, now I have had my eyes opened well and truly to what a great guy he really is; mind you I didn’t dislike him it was that I didn’t know him. I think it was a clever ploy by the author actually and it worked well.
The sense of humour in the book is so good, especially with a character like Julian, he is so so much fun and overall just fantastic! The fun banter between characters is at times snort worthy. However the overall sense of family and support are still the main underlying values within the storyline.
This is an uplifting story filled with love, as every good romance should!
