“You! The one who does not believe. Do not shut your eyes to the gifts with which the Gods have endowed you.”I never believed in the paranormal. Curses, enchantments, lucky amulets, evil spirits, angels, demons, Heaven, and Hell – all this meant nothing more than fantasies found between the covers of a book. What changed my mind? A new job at a museum.Getting used to the new place was at very … to the new place was at very least awkward, but life went back to normal; more or less.
Things become genuinely complicated with the discovery of a very unlikely connection — me, from the present, and a young woman from the 19th-century named Leah. Capable of taking over her body when Leah agrees, l get to discover hidden lies, mistakes, and foolish ambitions, which if left alone can destroy the future.
But, how can I face this situation when my own heart is about to get stolen by the surprising charm of the past?

I am writing this at 3 am because I could not stop reading this book. This book has so many different facets to the plot that it should feel, and be, muddled BUT IT ISN’T. One of the best books that I have read so far this year, and I read about 2-3 a day. I truly am looking forward to book 2 in the series.

I loved everything about this book! The main character is intriguing, the world building amazing, and the writing completely flows. I found this to be an easy book to get through in a couple of days and it only left me wanting more by this author. I am so glad I was given a chance to read this.

*Spoilers* This story was so unique & unlike any paranormal/psychic book I have ever read. Very original idea. It is refreshing to read something different than what everyone else writes in a genre. The idea of time travel fascinates everyone. A cursed watch that lets you live longer, but corrupts because someone always wants that power. Scarlett is a young woman with a job of restoring occult, witch artifacts, objects the gods used. She thinks they are all fake, used to trick people. She took the job because of the money & benefits. However when strange things start to happen, she can’t deny there is more to it. She also learns she has the ability to travel in her dreams. I will leave there so I don’t ruin the incredible ending. Good read.

Unique story about a girl who does not believe in the paranormal- until her new job throws her into the middle of it. The story flows well and the characters are well done.
I got this book yesterday, and I didn’t put it down until I finished it. What an amazing read!
Everything about the book was so well written! I loved the storyline and how well the different tenses were written. It helped make great connections between the two main characters.
This was a great paranormal read that provides a wonderful storyline, very well written characters, magic, time travel and keeps you hooked as you read each page.
I am very excited for the next book in the series. Well done on such a great book.
Given the storyline, this book could have been hard to follow, but the author makes it easy to understand and it flows well. She does a great job of creating the main character, making her realistic and believable. She goes into enough detail about the character’s past to create a complete person without adding anything that is unnecessary. It contains some nice, original ideas and everything is explained well. She closes most things off nicely while leaving enough left open for you to want to read more.
I highly recommend you give this book a go.
What an awesome new adventure the author takes you on in this story! I love how different this is to everything else the PNR market is currently flooded with! It kept my attention from page one! This was my first book by this author but I will definitely be looking out for the next one in this series!
When Scarlett starts her new job at a museum dedicated to the paranormal, she’s skeptical. She’s never been a believer in magic. That is until she starts to have dreams about a 19th century girl named Leah. When the link between her and Leah comes to light, Scarlett starts to realize there is more to the world than what meets the eye.
I loved how original every part of this story was, the characters, the plot, even the feelings behind it. The characters were very real down to their quirks and descriptions. The best part of this story to me was the way that the author shaped, Scarlett, a non-believer, into a person who very much believed in magic. In my opinion, it was the best part of Scarlett’s growth as a character, seeing the way her mind was opened to the things around her.
An interesting mix of paranormal, magical realism, and suspense.
That being said, I will definitely keep an eye out for more books in this series.
Wonderful story! I could not put this book down! Scarlet is on quite the journey with her new job and her new abilities. Chance is the one she yearns to be with but she can only see him through her connection with Leah in the past. Will they finally figure out the mystery behind Chronos ‘ Watch or will their pain be all for nothing?

This is an excellent story that I could not stop reading. It is beautifully written, with an original plot and incredible characters. I loved the author’s debut novel, and I waited for this book and new series with anticipation and excitement, and it was so worth the wait. It left me in awe.
First of all, the plot was so incredible, so complex, so unexpected, and brilliantly executed, it blew my mind. Especially the unexpected part. The way the author came up with this idea is beyond me, it is so unusual. Okay, I have to be honest, time travel in any form is not really my thing, but I would never miss anything this author writes, so I went on this adventure, and what an adventure this was! And what amazes me most is how the story comes to a perfect full circle in such a logical and plausible way.
Then the characters and their life choices, that was the best part. Each one of them played their part in the story perfectly, and every time I wondered why they decided to do what they did, at some point of the book, it became clear that it was the only choice they could have made in order for things to have they way they were suppose to happen. Everything makes perfect sense. Every single detail of the story. Brilliant!
The main character Scarlett is an exceptional young woman, who finds herself at the right place at the right time, just when her life starts falling apart. And as she slowly starts putting her life back together, she embarks on an adventure of a lifetime which never really ends.
The author brings this part of the adventure to an ending, but leaves some questions unanswered for later and I can’t help being excited for whatever is to come next. Her beautiful expression, and gripping and engaging writing style makes devour whatever she writes in one breath, and leaves me yearning for more. Thank you for this book!
The Curse of Time by Andreea Pryde is thr the first book in her “The Cursed Watches” series. This book brings together a unique combination of cursed artefacts, romance, time “travel”, fantasy/paranormal, and some unique characters.
The Curse of Time is the first book that I have read by Andreea Pryde. I enjoy unique storylines and I’m pleased to say that this story does not disappoint. In the beginning of this book I developed mixed feelings towards Scarlett. She intrigued me and then when we get to her current relationship at the time my opinion of her…dropped. She’s in a relationship with a guy who…there’s just no other way to say it…he’s a loser. Now, I am glad that the author doesn’t drag that particular part out too much. But it damaged my opinion of her a bit because I didn’t think she’d be the type to put up with that type of situation.
The storyline is engaging and then it falls off a bit, but then it becomes interesting again and keeps me pageturning to find out what happens next. There are moments of where I couldn’t put the book down. When that cute little promised talking kitten makes an appearance I nearly melted from cuteness overload. Lol
Now this book does have a few minor issues. There are some editorial errors sprinkled in the beginning of this book. As it goes along the errors disappear so a thorough read through of the beginning will catch those issues and clean them right up. Then there are a couple scenes with Scarlett. Her raising her voice and shouting in a couple scenes of where it is obvious that being loud is a bad thing…it makes me annoyed with her. The bit with her loser ex…just…why??? I felt that she was being too soft hearted. Something was obviously going on with him, just wait you’ll see what I’m talking about, because it’s like a switch flips with him one day.
I’m rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. This book is really enjoyable and the twists pile up near the end. This book is well written and I have to say that I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
Enjoyed this book the way Andreea takes you to the past and the present with the flow, the characters are great and the storyline is outstanding and with the cliffhanger we was left with going to read the next book to see what comes next.
