This was an enjoyable flirt read, a true Beauty and the Beast tale retold. The characters were true to the plot and the prose ensured that the reader was fully invested in this novel.

Amelia has to cancel her spring break trip to stay behind and do research. At a Cuban place, she runs into a stranger in the bathroom and sneaks a peek at his C.
The next day she meets Barrett Whitaker who’s also doing research. He’s an artist, has a crazy ex and has plenty of commitment issues.
A hot hook up with his beast, a dog napping and more back and forth of on or off plus a side of graffiti.

Amelia is ready for spring break however she gets bad news just before she can leave. The teacher that she works as a TA for needs her to do some research as soon as possible which means no spring break. She goes out with her girls the night before they leave on their trip and meets a sexy hot guy in the bathroom. She’s dreading meeting the guy she is to work with because his emails were nasty. Imagine her surprise when the man she is working with is bathroom guy. Sparks fly between them as they pass verbal banter back and forth. However soon they begin working well together. When he sees the blisters on her feet his immediately steps in to help and which leads to them having a hot steamy night together. Yet the next day he is back to his original douche ways. Will Amelia cut her losses and put Barrett in her past? Will Barrett see that Amelia is the one for him?
This is a great story that I couldn’t put down once I started it. The chemistry between them is electrifyingly hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Amelia and Barrett have an intense love hate relationship that makes this story that much more enjoyable. Loved the interactions and banter and how they fight their attraction. This is a fun, spark filled story and a great addition to the Spring Breakers short story series.
This book is absolutely amazing – I had so much fun reading it! Likeable characters – Amelia is feisty and full of sass and Barrett is a rebel and HOT – a perfect match; their chemistry is scorching. It is a well written, well-developed fast pace page-turner and will leave you wanting more. Definitely recommended.

Amelia may have been Left Behind, but she’s not lonely!!!
This is a wonderful story with excellent characters and I loved it. Amelia ends up having to miss her spring break trip to help out one of her professors by doing some research. The professor then leaves Amelia in the hands of a beast of a man named Barrett, who will also be doing some research over spring break. Only question is: Will Beauty get her Beast or will the Beast be too much to tame? Grab this awesome book to find out!!

Funny, rom-com short that left me smiling ear to ear
Fun, sexy & romantic. Amelia and Barrett had me smiling the whole way through. Amelia has to pass on spring break because the professor she TAs for has research that needs to be done by the time she gets back from her spring break. She can’t say no, it could mess up her future. Essentially, she got suckered. Drowning her sorrows in mojitos with her friends before they leave on break she has an encounter with a sexy mountain of a man. But that’s all it was. One and done until the sexy mountain of a man ends up being her research partner, Barrett. They get off to a snarky start but sparks fly and with the sassy banter, you just know they are going to be great together. If they can get past the crazy ex and Barrett’s commitment phobia.
Beauty and the Beast or Amelia and Barrett meet uhm in the bathroom, hence the beast, because that’s what she saw! But that’s not where the story ends! Amelia is asked to skip spring break to do research, oh and by the way you are doing it with my friend’s son. Guess who? Ya you got it! This is a cute story, there’s a bit of robbery and vandalism, all for the greater good of course! I think everyone would enjoy it!
You have to read this story if you like feel-good romance. Amelia and Barrett are so cute and their love is kind of quirky but adorable. Definitely learning from each other and becoming better for it.

If I get to meet a beast like that, I’ll get left behind anytime! I so loved this story. Barrett and Amelia were perfect for each other. Of course, once they said said they weren’t looking for anything serious, you knew they were going to be forever. The craziness wit’s the dog was hilarious too!

This is a good, quick read about two people fate meant to meet.
What a crazy first meeting for Mel and Barrett. Which leads to an unlikely match up as Mel gives up her spring break to do work for her professor only to find out she’ll be working with the mystery man from the bar, Barrett. There connection is contentious from the start but a shared passion for art gives them an olive branch toward friendship. Yet, the chemistry between them is passionate and intense. I was captivated by every sexy, powerful and fun moment of this quick romance. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
I only have one problem with Spring Break – Left Behind, I want MORE! This is a fast-paced, quick, and fun read, that had me hooked right from the start. I enjoyed the plot, the interaction, and chemistry between Barrett and Amelia. If you looking for a sweet, quick, and a bit of a steamy read, then this is the story for you.

I really enjoyed reading this book, actually all of the Flirt Club’s books. These stories are short which is awesome if you are pressed for time but only short in length. This is Barrette and Amelia’s story. Amelia is studying for her PhD in Art History and its Spring Break. She has plans with her girls to head out on vacation but she makes the choice to stay behind and go through a new shipment of art for her professor. As mad as she is for having second thoughts for agreeing to stay and do this, her helper her professor sent her makes it all worth while. Her helper is Barrett. They meet at a restaurant not knowing each other as strangers. It is funny how fate jumps in and can have you meet your soul mate. Great story of how Amelia and Barrett meet, get to know one another and find true forever happiness during Spring Break.

Spring Break Left Behind was a short and sweet read. I really enjoyed it. I loved Amelia and Barrett.
I was a little disappointed with this book. It felt as if it had already been written and then the Spring Break collaboration came up, so the author tacked this theme on to fit in! It didn’t feel very Spring Breaky! Amelia missing out on Spring Break was only briefly mentioned, and the rest of the book could have been set at any time of year or during any school break. It had nothing to do with Spring break, which as I understand it is people going away and going wild? (I’m not American so only going on what I have seen on TV).
I felt, also, because of the beauty and the beast thing the characters had going on it was a different story! The book should have been called The Beast or some play on words to do with The Beauty and the Beast!
However, as a stand-alone story and forgetting the Spring Break thing, it was an enjoyable read. You could feel the chemistry between Amelia and Barrett when he scooped her up and carried up the stairs swoon!
I was expecting it to end a little more lighthearted than it did, but it didn’t end badly, there was a happy ever after. I just thought with them not really wanting to commit it would end in a more laid back manner.
Overall, not a bad read just a little confusing being in the Spring Break collaboration but not really being about Spring Break.
A fun fairytale remake. The storyline was addictive and Barrett was swoon worthy. I couldn’t get enough. A must read for everyone!
Spring Break Left Behind by Olivia Hawthorne a five-star read you won’t want to leave behind. This was amazing, for some a spring break hidden away with dusty books and a monster doesn’t sound that much fun, but for me it sounds amazing. The thing is will Barrett be more beast or beauty? You need to read to find out.
Spring break is supposed to be fun at the beach. Not for her. She’s working the whole time with a man she really wants. Go for it. It may be just what you need to relax. Fun read.
