Every day, my neighbor tells me to have a good morning.Every day, I tell him to f*ck off. Kyle Lane is the town’s hottest cop. He’s also the man I’ve despised since high school. Each morning, he stands on his porch with an annoying smirk on his perfect face. He’s made it his life’s mission to get under my skin. Until one day, he’s no longer on his porch but on mine. He claims he wants to redeem … mine.
He claims he wants to redeem himself for ruining my reputation.
My instincts tell me to stay away, but with each morning he shows up, it becomes harder and harder to resist his charm.
I was never supposed to fall in love with my neighbor and once he finds out my secret, we’ll forever be enemies.
(An enemies to lover romance.)

Just Wow! I chose this book as the blurb about second chances drew me in. I started this story laughing. I got angry at both Chloe and Kyle’s families. I read how they formed a relationship and it got cut down; with the hope that things could get better for them lurking in the storyline.
And then I cried and cried….. tears still tracking down my face as I try to write a review to do this book justice.
This book gives so many feels, it is well written (if there were grammatical errors they never destroyed the flow of the read for me), it grips you from page one until the last page.
This book made me an emotional mess. It’s steamy, romantic, funny, heartbreaking, sweet, and delightful. Only reason I didn’t give five stars was because I didn’t feel things were resolved between them. Fabulous book though.
This is a well written book with interesting characters. It difficult not to feel horribly bad for the Hard life and baggage the main character is going through. You can’t help but hope that life will get better for her.
I really enjoyed this book. The enemies to lovers books are always interesting I think. I liked how there was chemistry, but there was still a will they-won’t they element.
to much cussing for me
I loved this book. It was SO UNEXPECTED! All the characters were great. A tear jerker with a happy ending.
WOW I loved every single word. There was only one thing that I didn’t love about the books and that was what happened to Gloria. I was shocked and saddened. That’s all I’m going to say about it because I don’t want to give any spoilers. I wasn’t fond of Kyle in the beginning because he was to cavalier about Chloe’s feelings concerning their past. It didn’t take long for me to love him. I loved Chloe was the start. She gave me all of the range of feelings. She made me laugh, cry, hurt enjoy her. What a character. Charity wrote her so well. She was rich and multi demential. All of the characters were written so well. The story was thoroughly entertaining and I will be reading the rest of the series. Until next time y’all happy reading.
When your teenage years are difficult it can greatly alter the direction of your life. If you have a loving, supportive family you can build a host of lifelong relationships despite the ups and downs. You can also build your own support system and try to survive the deep loss and pain that comes your way.
I shed many tears reading this book but the outcome is worth it, very satisfying.
I don’t know what happened here but I feel like I spent the entire book crying, maybe. Kyle and Chloe took a while to warm up to me but the story is written so well that it was hard to put down. I needed to know why Chloe hated him so much. The angst and the anticipation and chemistry was just amazing and if I wasn’t spent the time reading crying, I spent it trying to pick up my jaw from the floor.
Another fantastic read by this author that I couldn’t put down and read in one sitting. I love this author’s work and would happily binge read all her books if I could afford it because each one I’ve read so far has been 5 stars. I can’t recommend Just Neighbours, or any of her books, enough and hope other people discover these addictive reads
The book is full of steamy sex scenes with immature main characters. The end throws you a curve with drama and sadness. Would not bother to read.
Excerpt:
“Excuse you. Who do you think you are, barging into my office?”
…The walls vibrate when Kyle slams the door shut as if he owned the place , and he stalks the few steps until he’s directly in front of my desk . He spreads his feet and crosses his arms across his broad chest.
“Your neighbor. Your proclaimed enemy. The man whose dick you’ve wanted to ride since sophomore year.”
Charity Ferrell’s Just Neighbors is the forth book in her Blue Beach series. I found that much like the previous titles I have read by the author, this book was well written, with a solid plot that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. Moreover, the engaging storyline will suck you straight into the book and the amazing characters—both primary and secondary—will hold you captive, making Just Neighbors a solid five star read in my opinion.
Q: Kyle Lane, the man I’ve despised since sophomore year of high school, moved into the house next door three months, six days, and twenty hours ago. The jerk wore out his welcome within five seconds. Correction: he was never welcome in my neighborhood.
Just Neighbors is a enemies-to-lovers, second chance romance written in dual POV. Chloe Fieldgain is a journalist and she has despised Kyle Lane, the town’s hottest cop, since high school. But when Kyle moves next door, Chloe is unable to avoid him or deny the chemistry the pair share. The banter, the balance between love and hate, broad theme of forgiveness and the heartache inherent in the plot of Just Neighbors contributed to my enjoyment of the book. But, full disclosure, I knew going into this one that the book would be entertaining as I have had the privilege of reading the author before. In the past, I have found it very easy to get sucked into Charity Ferrell’s story so I expected that Just Neighbors would be no different. Obviously, giving this book a five-star review, shows that I was anything but disappointed! As previously mentioned, While I was lost in the storyline of Just Neighbors, I discovered anew how talented Ferrell is at writting characters that readers will love. I greatly appreciate an author who writes characters with depth and shows progression over the course of the storyline. Chloe and Kyle both exhibited these traits. Neither character was perfect, and their flaws only made it easier to relate to them. I thoroughly enjoyed the unveiling of their past and watching them grow as individuals and together over the course of the book. Chloe and Kyle’s relationship was frought with challenges, and when they finally commit to one another, it was so easy… until it wasn’t anymore. Ferrell does an excellent job of balancing the angst and heartache with the sweet and sexy in Just Neighbors. I loved all the characters in this story—and am dying to see if one of the secondary characters will get his own book as I grew extremely attached to him throughout Just Neighbors. I love when you can read a story and get lost in the words without getting sidetracked by excessive spelling or grammatical errors. Ferrell’s Just Neighbors was just such a story. As an avid reader, blogger, and editor, I can tell you that these books are definitely in short supply and when I find them, I am even more grateful. I hope my review, or others, inspires you to read Just Neighbors because I am sure this is one book you will love as much as I did.
Quotes:
Kyle is Blue Beech’s golden boy and man-slut, and he’s basically royalty here.
—
The abrupt sound of his voice cuts through the morning air and slices away my good mood. His deep voice brims with authority and masculinity, and I clench my jaw in irritation. His voice and I share a love-hate relationship. It makes my panties wet, but I wish it belonged to someone who wasn’t an asshole.

I’m naive and stupid. The loser never gets the fairy tale. She gets the nightmare.

I wanted to know more about Chloe Fieldgain, about the girl who seemed to be a shining star among others who dimmed with nothing… Chloe isn’t just an attractive woman. I liked her before I knew about sex or relationships or status. I wanted her to be my girlfriend then. Now, I want to make her more. After having all of her, there’s no way I’m letting her go this time.
Wow, this book was powerful! It starts out with Kyle most definitely being the bad guy. And things aren’t looking up for him in that regard for quite some time, especially the more we learn about his history with Chloe. But things aren’t always as they seem, including Kyle. Through a series of twists and turns and revelations, including several flashbacks, the more we learn about both of these characters, as well as those around them. To say that there were a few surprises is a vast understatement. Perhaps the biggest surprise is how truly in love with and devoted Kyle is to Chloe. Which still doesn’t stop him from hurting her yet again. In fact, one of the reasons that this book doesn’t get a higher star rating from me is the simple fact that it was so down, dreary and depressing. After all of the horrible things thrown at Chloe throughout her life, I often wondered why she would even want to go on. Thankfully, there are some redeeming moments and saving graces, then Kyle and Chloe eventually get to have some semblance of a happily ever after, but it is definitely hard won and certainly not without repurcussions and long-lasting effects.
