Arc review For honest review. Bridget now ember is in England, where her boyfriend throw her out with just her guitar , now homeless sits singing her heart out only to catch the ear of Kevin who finds that he just heard a Angel and feels he must help her. Wow what a beautiful story of love .
Kevin and Ember are interesting characters. It took me a bit to get into this one, but ones I did I couldn’t put it down.
Ember has had a crappy life, and she can’t seem to find anyone she can trust to stand beside her and be with her. So when she meets Kevin, he seems to be way too good to be true.
Kevin helps Ember when she is at her losest and doesn’t ask for anything in return, which Ember finds to be extremely weird. When these two starts to become more than friends, it seems to happen faster than either expects. Will they be able to maintain what they want even when others are not rooting for them.
This is one emotional romance.
Ember has been let down by everyone in her life. But when she is abandoned in London with nothing but her passport and guitar, she is literally homeless in a foreign country. When Kevin hears her playing her guitar in a public square, he knows she’s talented but when she starts to sing… he knows she is destined for more and he means to get it for her.
I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was another enjoyable read by Summer. Kevin is the youngest Thompson brother. If you have read other books by Summer, you may recognize his older brothers, Trent and Mason. I have been waiting for Kevin’s story and I was not disappointed. Kevin is in england when he hears a woman singing. Intrigued by her voice, he finds her and is struck by how good she is. Upon a closer look, he realizes she is very tired. Ember is in England because her boyfriend brought her here. When she wouldn’t do what he wanted, he kicked her out. Now she is in a country she doesn’t know without money or anything else. She doesn’t know how she is going to get back to the US. When she first realizes Kevin staring at her, she snaps at him. Kevin offers her help and she accepts. Their relationship does have its ups and downs, but it is so sweet. Kevin wants to give the world to Ember and will do anything to make that happen. This was a sweet, romantic read with some spice. Kevin and Ember may be from different worlds, but they are a perfect fit for each other. I hope we get to see their baby sister, Emily get her story. You do not need to read the two other brother’s books to understand what is going on. It’s just fun reading how they all find their lady loves.
This is a fabulous story of hardship, hard times, compassion, hope and love all mixed up with some angst, spite and misunderstandings by the wonderful best selling author, Summer Cooper. Once you get your hands on this easy to read book you’ll not want to put it down if you’re like me as I became so engrossed in the wonderful characters of Kevin [ the third Thompson brother ] and Ember. Ember has had a difficult childhood – only enjoying life whilst living with her grandmother – and she even manages to choose a jerk of a dead beat drug addled boyfriend who dumps her when they get to England as she refuses to sell drugs for him. At her lowest ebb, with not sufficient money to get back to the US, no place to stay or food for money she is discovered by Kevin and thus begins their love story. With plenty of caring, protectiveness, lust, passion, angst, mystery, and learning to believe in herself Ember and Kevin can discover how much they need and want each other. With a great storyline, sizzling chemistry between these two souls that need each other and so beautifully written by Summer Cooper, you have a fabulous romance to enjoy. I received a reader’s copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended – I’m now waiting patiently for her next romantic adventure to enjoy.
I am always a fan of romance books but Ms. Cooper has taken her talent and creativity and crafted a release that will draw you right in and blow you away. Down on her luck, Bridget Jones, aka Ember, has nothing and no-one else but herself. Taking her beloved guitar to a park in a foreign land, she meets Kevin. Unbeknownst to each other they have met their savior in each other. It is hard to earn trust but with nothing left and starving she takes this stranger up on his incredible kindness. Their journey just takes off from there and you can’t help but become captivated. There is a wonderfully written storyline with relatable characters to match as well as a superbly designed happily ever after.
Much love for this riveting release. I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of Protecting Her in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend this book as well as anything written by Ms. Cooper.
Modern day Cinderella, I love it! I was hooked from start to finish! So many emotions and twists and turns. I think you will love it just as much as I did. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
