She caught the bouquet. He snagged the bridal garter. But when her so-called walk of shame goes viral, he’ll need to do more than just slip a garter up her leg.Did we or didn’t we?That’s the million-dollar question when I wake up next to Kodiak “Kodi” Donovan the morning after a mutual friend’s St. Patrick’s Day wedding.Forget that he’s one of the hottest bachelors in Manhattan, a billionaire, … the hottest bachelors in Manhattan, a billionaire, and as the founder of the nonprofit ReBuild to Heal, a philanthropist to boot.
And so we agree to go on with our respective lives and pretend nothing happened.
Too bad my walk of shame ends up getting plastered all over social media and the next thing I know, I’ve become #walkofshameroxy.
As if that isn’t bad enough, my job as an ICU nurse is in jeopardy, too.
Suddenly whether we did it or not is the least of our worries. To save my reputation, the only other question becomes…
…should we or shouldn’t we just take it all the way?
Author’s Note: Roxy is Caitlin’s best friend in Friends with Benefits (Book 4 of A Different Kind of Love series) and this is her story.

Roxy is an intensive care nurse and Lodi runs a non profit, but he comes from money, not like regular people.
They spend the night together with no nookie, but when photos of them leaving together the next morning go viral and Roxy is suspended with out pay from her job (morality clause) Kodi proposes a fake proposal. Why are the women always blamed for the walk of the next morning?
Quick, sweet and still packs a punch.
Recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
This is one of my favourite book series. Definitely give it a try – Liz Durano has kicked a goal with this one!
After receiving a complementary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, all I can say is…what a great fun novella. This has been one of my favorite series to read. I love the author’s writing style and the characters she creates are fantastic. This story left me feeling the same love as I did with the others. Of course, having already been introduced to these characters in previous books… I was in love with them before I finished the first page.
It’s a quick read- probably the only downfall of the book- I would have loved a longer more developed story for them, but that didn’t change the entertainment and feel good value I got after finishing this novella.
This is a great author, series and book to add to your book collection.
Happy Reading…enjoy!
Double standards suck
Having been photographed outside of Kodi’s apartment doing “The walk of shame,” Roxy’s life is torn apart. Not only is she on suspension from her nursing job but she’s now everywhere on line being shamed and “outed.”
Meanwhile Kodi is being hailed as a player. Talk about double standards. Kodi is determined to shield Roxy as much as possible while trying to see if their relationship will go anywhere. All the while pushing against his father, who thinks she’s not on their social level. Do they have a chance?
Kodi & Roxy were a quick, sweet read! I wouldn’t consider them an insta-love, but their relationship was hot & fast. I really enjoyed their story.
Love reading stories from this author. Loved Roxy’s and Kodi’s characters.

4 and a bit stars
I enjoyed this short and sweet romance for two people from different social backgrounds instigated by a viral storm on the internet. Both hero and heroine are sympathetic people caught up in a scandal and doing their best to weather it. There are heated passionate clinches as the couple spend quality time together and I liked that they were not overly long and well-integrated into the greater story. I just regretted that their story was so brief and ended in a HFN rather abruptly; I mean, the whole story unfolds in less than a week starting with a St. Patrick’s Day wedding they both attend. I really like Liz Durano’s writing and would have rated it higher if not for its brevity.
Although this is a relatively short novelette, it is nevertheless full of high impact romance, starting from the moment Kodi put the garter he caught on Roxy’s leg. The attraction was immediate and because of Kodi’s high profile persona, it went viral, as did the follow up the next day. Whether through jealousy or some other malicious intent, Roxy was branded whilst Kodi’s part in the fiasco wasn’t even mentioned. What wasn’t immediately apparent was Kodi’s warm and caring nature as well as his sense of honour as he did everything in his power to protect Roxy from the fall-out. However, even that wasn’t enough to thwart the damaging effects of social media. I loved Kodi’s protective character as well as Roxy’s somewhat quirky nature, not to mention the simmering heat between them. This is a standalone book that can be read in an evening and leaves one smiling. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
