The Hail Mary Music Festival
Rory Allison
This is a cozy set in Fox Hill, which is slowly failing
Caitlyn Clayborne has quickly become a woman of many hats: town PR specialist, Music Hall owner, small town detective- just to name a few.

This little mystery is really strange, because the only mystery is who is causing the band members to have accidents. Fox Hill’s local detective Caitlyn manages to run a music festival and solve a crime. The problem with this story is that it continues the relationship of Caitlyn and Kurt’s relationship, while finding a boyfriend for Reba, while trying to solve the accidents that keep happening. There are only two suspects because the town is that small even with the influx of visitors during the Music Festival. I like the characters and the snarky lines, but the plot could have used the work.
This is a clean well written story. It has a mystery in it that keeps you guessing who did it. I loved the story and characters. Caitlyn Clayborne and her friends get a music festival together to help their small town. I highly recommend this book.

A Mystery with an unexpected conclusion? A mystery when in the middle of trying to pull off a music festival to boost the town’s coffers and popularity. Trying to get everything done and find time to investigate is difficult. Believable characters that draw you into the story. As in true life, not everyone here is full of self confidence. The romance is well done without going over the top! Good read!

A really interesting mystery/romance that kept me engaged throughout the book. This story has great characters and budding romances, the story flows really well. This is the second book in the second chance for Fox Hill series but I did not read the first book. I am thinking I have to now because this is really good. I highly recommend.

This was a great story…the mystery side of it was most intriguing. The romance between Reba and Aj was also very cute, for a moment I thought she was going to hook up with Trey, but Aj was definitely the better choice for her. Kurt was so cute…I enjoyed his moment of “self-doubt” I am glad he got over it quickly. Shulman and Anders now that was a surprise…
Really good story, the characters were awesome! Good Job!!!

I have read many series and enjoyed them. When I started this book, I thought I must have skipped a few chapters because it started part way in the story. This would be great, if I had read the previous book but I had not.
The characters, dialogues and descriptions are well written.
I have never been part of planning such an event but the timing seemed off. I can’t say more without sharing spoilers.
I enjoyed the book and would read others by this author but I would try to read them in order.

A small town story that will put a smile on your face. The characters are warm and charming; the story moves along well and the ending will fill you with satisfaction. My advice? Eat all the truffle sauce you can especially with french r=fries and you might want to avoid the cupcakes for a little while – at least until you’re sure everything is cleared up. Read and enjoy1

Caitlyn and Kurt’s story continues in this sequel to Diamonds & Dirt. They are putting together a music festival to raise revenue for Fox Hill. Two of the bands they recruit seem to have a history and strange things happen like a rafter falling and breaking a pianist arm and band members getting food poisoning. Sleuth Caitlyn is on the case to solve the mystery and confront the culprit before anyone else gets hurt. Reba even gets her own romance in this book. This was another romantic mystery with quirky small town characters and plenty of funny and dramatic moments.
I loved this book! The characters came to life! I love music, so this story really spoke to me! I highly recommend this book! Happy Reading!

Cozy Mystery in Tennessee
This cozy mystery takes place at a music festival which is being sabotaged. The plot line is wonderful and true to life. There is a lot of humorous chit chat between siblings that makes the whole story light. There are a few romances going on with the mystery and that adds a nice layer. This is the second in a series. I have read the first book and I think this second book is better for having read the first. I received this book for free and this is my honest review.
The second book in the A Second Chance for Fox Hill series a well-written story that kept me turning pages.
There is suspense, drama, danger, poisoning, accidents that are not accidents, and a romance between the two main characters.

I loved Diamonds and Dirt, but The Hail Mary Music Festival is even better. Don’t worry. It stands on its own. I want to be friends with all the quirky Fox Hill town residents. They are quite a group. This book has an interesting plot. I cannot say much – no spoilers. Caitlyn is quite a detective. If you enjoy small town, clean books, go not miss this one!
Caitlyn and Kurt work together with friends, family, and some new friends to draft a few bands into the small stage concert venue they have resurrected, in an effort to bring some life back to their small home town.
turns out one of their interns does indeed know one of the members of an up and coming band in search of a break.
and a bassist discovers their venue as well.
The Hail Mary Music Festival is about to roll into development and action.
But hidden connections link the groups, and not all involved re there for the small town and good food.
A bumpy ride, with small town pains played out on stage and behind the curtains.
Sad and sweet, with notes of hope, KU read!
