Thirty-five thousand feet in the air, I impulsively planted my lips on a stranger. To say it was out of character was the understatement of the century. But I wasn’t worried. It’s not like I’d ever see him again. Or so I thought. When I least expected it, there he was. And he looked so much better than I remembered. It was only supposed to be one kiss—a drunken lip-lock to ring in a new year. But … year. But sometimes, history repeats itself.

Over all I liked the book. Gia’s words flowed off the page effortlessly making it a quick and easy read for me which I liked.
I feel like the story was a bit too simple. Despite a few bumps in the road of Chandler and Worth’s relationship I feel like the conflicts were resolved quickly and easily. I love the idea of soul mates but this book had a insta-love feel to it and it’s not my favorite to read.
The story is cute. The characters were relatable. I just wish the problems of the book weren’t just brushed under the rug as easily as it seemed.
I’m glad Hollis got his HEA, I was rooting for this underdog character through most of the book!
I’ve read insta-love stories and insta-lust stories. I think this is my first insta-happy. The book isn’t an insta-happy. The feeling it emotes is an insta-happy. I was smiley and at peace when Wirth and Chandler connected.
Now don’t read this and think it’s all butterflies and happily ever afters, even Disney doesn’t make it that easy! But don’t fear, Gia Riley isn’t stomping on hearts or kicking puppies in this one. You will have every thing your heart desires…except for that menagerie scenario you were contemplating. (Don’t lie. A Hollis, [enter your name], and Worth sandwich sounds appealing. Even Chandler thought it!)
Sandwich dilemmas aside, Kiss Me, Stupid is a fun, flirty happy and of course there’s the ever after too.

Ms Riley is on my list of authors who I will read no matter what. After several heavier/angsty books this is a lighter, fun read focused on two younger people trying to live a dream.
I liked both Chandler and Writh and loved their meet cute of a late night flight on New Year’s Eve and the way fate kept bringing them together.
There is great potential for angst and conflict coming from multiple different directions. The fact that some of these avenues were not explored is probably my big complaint about Kiss Me, Stupid and the thing that kept in from being a 4 star read.
For me, it felt like there was effort made to keep to book lighter/shorter so the conflict explored was very “high school-ish.” It was something that I felt like should have been part of the conflict scenario, not the core of the problem. There were several other issues that arose and either weren’t addressed or weren’t addressed fully that, for me, would have made the story richer.
Having said that, this was a fun and quick read and one I would suggest if someone is looking for a quick escape.
Chandler and Wirth meet on a plane and share a drunken kiss on New Years. They leave with no expectations of seeing each other again but life doesn’t work that way. These two keep running into each other. Will anything work out between them? A cute read.
Chandler has finally made her dream come true, dancing in a Broadway show. Now she just has to make the trip to New York even though she is a bit anxious about flying. Imagine her surprise when she gets a seat next to singer, Wirth Sutherland. She got to see him in person at one of his shows a few days ago and now she gets to share the same space for the next few hours.
Wirth moved to Nashville to make his dreams of becoming a professional singer a reality. Now that his life has crashed and burned, he has to return to his old life in New York. But now that he is sitting next to a beautiful woman on the flight back on New Year’s Eve, maybe things are starting to look up.
The attraction between Wirth and Chandler is instant and they share a kiss at midnight. Both realize it isn’t the right time to start up something new but fate may have other ideas…
I loved Wirth and Chandler!! I loved the banter between Wirth and Chandler and how he embraces her quirkiness. Very cute story! I am a huge fan of Gia Riley’s and was not disappointed in this story. The way that Gia writes a story, it sucks me in and I feel like I’m actually in the story and experiencing every high and low right along with the characters. Gia will always be an immediate one-click author for me!
Kiss Me, Stupid is a good cute read. Wirth and Chandler are great characters. They first meet when they are on a plane leaving Nashville. Wirth is heading back to NYC after a bad run in Nashville and Chandler is heading to NYC for a Broadway show. Chandler is quirky. After there first meeting they part ways without exchanges contact info and I was so hoping that there paths cross again. I kind of thought they would meet again at the Broadway show but they way their paths crossed again was so much better then I excepted. Wirth and Chandler have a insta-conection but they still have their ups ans downs in the relationship department. I really enjoyed this one and I totally loved the side characters too.

Kiss Me Stupid, the latest novel by Gia Riley, was a sweet romance that will evoke a range of emotions from you.
Chandler and Wirth, two characters with such unusual names, had a connection when they first met that they eventually tried to ignore but fate intervened in the best of ways.
These characters will make you smile in one chapter and then annoy you in another chapter yet you will be rooting for them throughout the story.
I enjoyed their banter and the inclusion of the secondary characters greatly added to the story.
This was a short, light read. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to those looking for a nice and easy read.
I’m not sure about this one. When I read the blurb, I was excited to read this book. After reading the first couple of chapters I thought this was going to be a great read. Wirth and Chandler’s meeting was sweet, and they had great chemistry. It kinda went down hill from there. These characters were pretty immature to be in their 20’s. Also, I was not a fan of the 3rd person in this story. When I read a romance, I want it to be about those 2 people. Although I wasn’t a big fan of this book, I would be interested in reading this author again.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
