Great Story! Great Audible Listen #WTG
The Hashtag Hunt
By: Kristina Seek
Narrated by: Andrea Emmes, Tim Paige
This is an original story, a fun and adventurous one! Kristina Seek is a new to me author, I enjoyed her writing style and the storylines she created, they captivated my mind from start to end. The characters in this book are likable and well developed. I liked Lauren’s determination and dedication to what she wanted as well as the friendship and bond she had with Ivy. And hello #Hottie, Brenner and Scott, it was great how they met and how good they were about it and Lauren’s mission. I was glad they jumped on board and loved how easy they all got along. Kristina Seek did a great job plotting out the #scavenger hunt and incorporating the getting to know you for these two couples. And she kept it real, giving a glimpse of Brenner’s PTSD and what Scott went through, all tastefully done. I highly recommend this book, it is a great start to a new friendship and romance and possibly a series (hint) I adored these great characters and am hoping there is more to come from them. BTW, loved the twist and reveal of who was behind the #Hashtag Hunt. Thank you for this great and entertaining story!
I listened to the Audible edition, Andrea Emmes and Tim Paige are awesome narrators and voice performers. They bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You hear the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story projected in their performance. Each are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.
This was my first Kristina Seek’s book. I loved it! This story is refreshing and original. The friendship in this story is amazing. The storyline is captivating and fast-paced. I loved to follow Lauren and her friends in this Hashtag Hunt. The romance between Lauren/Brenner and Ivy/Scott is cute and sweet. Andrea Emmes and Tim Paige did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed listening this story.
This book was so much fun and was such an original concept I found myself laughing out loud while listening to it. Lauren is in a contest to get photos and submit them to the Wizard before getting the next assignment. The end prize is $10,000 and along the way she ends up getting help after she is caught taking one of the photos. Oh, the fun and antics that follows is just pure fun and finding new love is something unexpected but cannot be denied. I definitely recommend this one! Perfect to listen to anytime, anywhere.
This review is for the audiobook version.
This was a fun read from beginning to end. Ms. Emmes and Mr. Paige were a great choice for narrators. They did their job of bringing the characters to life. They left me wondering what other adventures they may take the reader on. The sad part was that the time went by so quickly.
The book is listed as a contemporary but when the characters talk about certain things they found, I thought they were talking as if they were from the future and looking at things from the past – not a recent past but a very distant past. Having a little romance is just a perk for our hunters.
It’s a story that shows how creative our author is. There’s that saying, “you can’t make this stuff up” but I think Ms. Seek has proved that’s not true. I’d love to see how she plans to follow this up. Will it come out in audio form again? I think this is one of those cases where you can’t go wrong having both the written version and the audio version. It’s a great book to relax with.
I work in an Academic setting and I think the students would get a real kick out participating in their own hunt. The author gives you all sorts of ideas of things you could do with friends, with a group of people or a game at a party. I can see listening to the book and looking for some of the same items as our main characters – you can certainly steal my idea for your enjoyment.
I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
