The only disappointment I had was when the book ended. I wanted there to be more to read. This series was wonderful, couldn’t stop reading.
I’m a big fan of this trilogy and I loved the this final book so much…
Jude is an exiled queen and she’s with her sister Vivi and her brother Oak in the human world, until her twin sister Taryn appears with some disturbing news and a crazy proposition that lead jude to the Faerieland once more.
This is definitely a must read, Cardan you’re the best, love you so much 🙂
Everything I’ve come to expect from Holly Black and more, a perfect end to the series.
My biggest complaint was that I felt like the book should have been longer, which is really probably one of the greatest compliments you can give an author/book. I wasn’t ready for the series to end, or to say goodbye to the characters or the world of Faerie! I will say there were parts that would have done better if they were fleshed out a little more. My rating is probably at a 4.5 because of those complaints. Couldn’t we have about 100 more pages of content…? 😉
I can’t believe it’s over! But I loved every second of the journey to get there. I need more of Jude and Cardan!
Holly Black ends this trilogy magnificently. She carries us to all inner battles os the main characters, their longings, their desires, but mainly their fears. Jude and Cardan symbolizes what prejudice could bring for those that don’t match the standards. Let be carried by this so well written story. I’m already missing it. You’re are definitely among my best writers, Holly – thanks for this journey.
I love it when fantasy goes all dark and creepy! The horror fan in me appreciates it. Holly Black delivered just that. I think I’d love a deeper look at the Court of Teeth, thank you very much.
Anyway…
The Queen of Nothing was a solid ending the trilogy, full of all the things you’d expect after reading the first two installments. My only complaint would be that I would have loved just a tad more Cardan. But what we got of him was divine so it’s not a large complaint.
Such a fun read!
I don’t even know how to begin this review. I feel like whatever I say, I wouldn’t be able to give justice to how perfect this book (and the whole series) is.
I was really nervous about this. Considering how good The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King were, my expectations for The Queen of Nothing were sky-high. And I’ve read enough to know that it’s easier to get let down. Waiting for this book was a mixture of dread and excitement.
The whole time I was reading the book, I was also freaking out. Even when things were good, I didn’t allow myself to be fully happy. Because if you read Holly’s books, you would know that suffering is inevitable. It always comes to you at the most unexpected moments. And damn right it did.
When Victoria Aveyard said on Twitter that The Queen of Nothing will kill us, she wasn’t exaggerating. I was stressed beyond measure. I feared the ending so much that I even stopped at about 90% of the book to put it off for a while. That’s how afraid I was.
But I guess I really just had to trust Holly. Because despite how stressed this book made me feel, I wouldn’t have it any other way. As nerve-wracking as it was, it was never disappointing. It gave me everything I wanted and more. And Holly read our pleas and gave us #Jurdan shippers the greatest gift in this book. (You know what I mean. )
Seriously, just read this whole series. You won’t regret it. Now, please excuse me while I try to process my feelings.

“All power is cursed,” I say. “The most terrible among us will do anything to get it, and those who’d wield power best don’t want it thrust upon them. But that doesn’t mean they can avoid their responsibilities forever.”
This world is wicked cool! And Jude… I can even tell you how much I love her.
Impossible to put down!
I cannot fathom why people are hating on this conclusion!!! Like seriously!? It was utterly and absolutely perfect! Everthing was wrapped up with a big gold bow complete with butterflies and flowers!! I got everything I had wished for. Every. Single. Thing. Some unexpected surprises popped up here and there and they ranged from jaw dropping reactions to cheers for the author. I know that in the past Jude and Cardan have had a rather toxic relationship, but this changes that all!!! Finally!!! I loved this and am so sad that this adventure is over. I could never tire of this world that Ms. Black has so cleverly and imaginatively gifted us with. The ending brought me huge smiles and brought me so much joy!!! I rarely am so very satisfied with a series ending, my only legitimate complaint is that is it over. I’m most destroyed that I read that last sentence! These words were wholly unique and captivating and daring and at times a bit frightening. There are so many quotable moments!! These precious words just floated off of the pages and straight into my !!!
GUYS I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S OVER! I DON’T WANT IT TO END!
I really enjoyed reading this book, and I wish there were more books to come. I definitely think that there could be more if Holly Black wanted to make it happen.
I live for Jude and Cardan’s relationship, and their own personalities. I love these two so much. They are so skillfully crafted and have many layers to their personalities. There is more than just the sad, drunk boy, more than just the strong, power hungry girl. Their relationship grows (in a good or a bad way, you will find out) in this book and it tore me up!
Many questions that had been unanswered in the second book are answered in this book. I feel like there are questions I still have that this book brought up, but it’s nothing big that will eat at me for all eternity…
I like the first half, but I really like the second half of the book. So much happened in the second half that it was just a little more interesting to me. The first half definitely set it all up though, and was a nice bridge from the second book to this one.
So many emotions. Everywhere. On my end AND in the book. That’s all I can say without spoiling.
I definitely think that this series has helped me become better at finding loopholes and crafting my words more carefully. I wish there had been more pages to this book. It felt short. I think this is actually the shortest book I have ever read, which saddened me since this is the last book in one of my favorite series, and it was very well done.
Okay, I think it’s time for a reread. I can’t stay away from Cardan for more than two seconds. Am I obsessed? Yes. Is it a problem? Maybe. Do I really care? Nope.
